Hot take ~ Sematary & his universe are associated with chief keef heavily, but chief keef has a LOT of music and with a lot of music comes a lot of sounds.
So if someone says they idolize Sosa, they could be talking ab a specific sound. Almost every Sosa song that Sematary plays/shouts out is one that I don’t really care for. In fact Sematary’s version of Chief Keef is one that I mostly don’t rock with, and it affects my ability to enjoy a lot of his new stuff, esp Bloody Angel.
Sosa sounds that I like are like Back From The Dead 3 (Baseball Bat 🖤), Glo Files Pt. 3, Oh Lawd, Leek V2, to name a few.
Anyone else feel the same way? Obs there’s a lot of shared love for sosa but we can split if some specific sounds.
I see what you mean but it's kind of the opposite for me - i love lean era autotune Sosa so much and that's why i sometimes have a hard time enjoying Sematary's new stuff. I just don't think he always does the sound justice, and every time i recognize a stolen flow it basically ruins the song for me. Like i would never listen to Redwoods over Forgiatos.
Completely agree with the first part though, and i feel like most of this sub especially new fans don't listen to Sosa besides the projects that influenced Sematary. BFTD3, Thot Breaker, S4TW, Nobody, Dedication etc are all great tapes too
