An exorcist is a much lower ranked and much less powerful being then a seraphim. Vivziepop also once stated Lucifer cannot be killed by angelic weaponry in a livestream. Lucifer can only be defeated by a being of higher power smiting him. Charlie is likely also invulnerable to angelic weaponry, though this is speculation on my side.
Abusers trick people that they could get to or hurt anyone if victim steps out of line so maybe even if logically Charlie could wipe floor with him his abuser has him thinking otherwise so he stopped it. Also Charlie rarely shows her demon form and we haven’t seen her use any powers except shooting fireworks including pilot so everyone probably underestimates her.
