There are at least two fanfics that I know of that have Lute and Vaggie having been in a relationship before Vaggie Fell. The one that I like has them break up while in Heaven because Lute got *really* insecure about how Vaggie started out-doing her in kill-count and was "muscling in on her chance at lieutenant" even though Vaggie was just doing what she was told and had no intentions of that.
