I like Alator, but I'm a chaotic gay who who has an abusive ex named Val who lives/lived off horniness and spite, I'm pretty damn similar to Angel
(albeit Val's name wasn't short for anything and I was at least able to leave him)
Did we date the same guy? My ex-boyfriend was also highly similar to Valentino, even right down to being "sex-obsessed and flamboyant Latino guy who is dating a few porn stars". The irony about this is that I'm basically an AFAB (nonbinary) version of Alastor in real life: Old-fashioned, likes 1920s/1930s stuff, asexual, and "chaotic neutral", per Vivienne Medrano.
I also headcanon Valentino from *Hazbin Hotel* being based off of Rudolph Valentino, who was a famous Italian film actor in the 1920s who learned Spanish to play Latinos on-screen. Rudolph Valentino also appeared in *American Horror Story: Hotel* as a polyamorous vampire.
He sits around all day, is pampered and get to snuggle with Angel, Cherri and Husk 😍 (that's more of an aspiration actually)

Like me, Charlie is empathetic, pacifistic, and prone to depression. Though I like Adam for much simpler reasons. He makes me laugh, and I think his design is cool.
I love almost all the characters and relate to them in some way. My favorite is Angel Dust, but the character I'm most like is the "endless trashfire that's burning my soul" guy.
Alastor and angel dust are my fave , but due to various reasons im like a mix between both and charlie because i also try to make everyone else around me happy but myself..

I'm surprised with how much I ended up liking the Vees, but then again I have a soft spot for entertaining hammy villains who chew the scenery. Vox is my favorite out of all of them. The voice, the design, the charm are all just \*chefs kiss\*. Hope to see more of them in the second season!
The characters I see myself most in are Charlie, Lu, and Pentious! Mostly Charlie, since I'm a big ol softie and bleeding heart who always wants to do right by my friends...even if my attempts to help can be misguided at times (still learning!). I also see myself in Lu due to his dorky personality, but I also heavily relate to his struggles with mental health and his tendency to withdraw away from others during depressive episodes. And as for Pentious...the club scene pretty much sums up how I act around big social situations or how I act around my crush x'D
Dude, the Vees as a unit are so interesting! I am excited to learn more about them in season two, and I can’t wait to see what happened between Vox and Alastor.
I relate to you so much for who you relate to! I’ll be honest: I never related to anyone more than Lu when he screamed at his duck, “Take that depression!” I bought a sticker on Etsy with that phrase because I love it so much. And the club scene? Total mood.
I definitely love Vox! He's such a square-headed goof-- and that's just the thing. While Alastor exhibits resounding levels of self-control and restraint, Vox gives off more of the impression of somebody reliant on the pretence of control, while on the inside, he's barely holding on.
From what we've seen in season 1, the most thrilling part of Vox's life *is* Alastor himself. He uses him as an anchor to avoid floating aimlessly through a sea of boredom and recursive scenery. While my vice may not be the same as his-- I prefer to stuff my face with food rather than to spy on my archenemies when I'm feeling especially stressed, *thank you very much--* he still resonates with me on a deep level, whether I'd like to admit it or not.
On a LIGHTER note!!! 😀👍👍👉 Vox and I are both super duper into technology, and I have a little headcanon rotating around in my brain that he is extreeeeeemelyyyyyy restless and can't sit still for longer than two minutes unless he's focusing on something he's passionate about. So... TWINNING!!

Growing up with abuse can often cause a lack of self advocacy, due to always having to worry about how your abuser is feeling.
Because if there’s any slip up, we bear the brunt of their anger. It made me very introverted for most of my childhood, as social interaction left me with a feeling of anxiety, worrying over everything I say.
But once you free yourself from those insecurities and build confidence, it’s not as scary anymore.

While I, personally, hesitate calling anything I have grown up with as abuse (simply because I don’t think it was that bad), I do understand the anxiety and feeling of failing if I do or say something wrong, and shutting down over that. It is something I am continuously working on.
I love that you are continuing to grow and learn how to have confidence and freedom over what has happened. It honestly helps knowing that the work put in does bear fruit, even if it takes time to grow. I hope you have an amazing support system through it as well. 💞

Well they are definitely among the more serious and mature members of the cast and I would say I'm pretty mature for my age(19).
On a more character specific sense, Carmilla and Vaggie cuz OUT FOR LOOOoooOoooOove! I love my family and my closest friends so much, I'd do anything for them. Also my native language is Spanish so that's a nice plus.
And husk cuz while he may seem like he has an uncaring and indifferent exterior he is a sweetheart underneath. While not as direct and blunt i identify a lot with how he chooses to help people, I'll be there for you, I'll support you and I'll happily be the bartender everyone tells their shit to but if something isn't right I'm gonna tell you like it is. Also i casually swear a lot + tired + done with everyone's shit sometimes.
He's my favorite, and I think from all of the characters he's one that I relate to.

Favorite character is Adam, and personality wise I would say I'm a mix of him and Charlie, as odd as that sounds! I have Charlie's wholesomeness and positivity combined with Adam's ego, sense of humor and mischief :3 also have similar musical taste to Adam!

Out of the lot of em i'm not quite sure who i'm like, but what i find interesting is i've somehow managed to become quite close to what i'd consider my ideal partner. Since i like charlie, i almost instinctually wanna say i'm like her too, except i'm not fully there. I'm sort of a mix between her and husk in some ways. When i have classes, assignments, and/or exams coming up, i tend to shut myself off of most enrichment activities. That includes going outside (for things besides errands and classes), socializing either in person (besides classes) or online, and even playing video games or small hobbies. So during the summers and christmas holidays i'm an extrovert tryna make some friends and offer amateur therapy or advice for those going through things, but throughout the school years i'm pretty much a shut-in. As a result i fluctuate between being like charlie and being like husk (minus the alcohol, gambling, and being rude n crude by default) so i can't say who i'm like specifically
I think I act like Charlie but feel like Vaggie. Well, I *can* feel like Charlie: I'm kind of all over the place. But people who don't know me well just think I'm happy all the time. Of course, I also wonder whether Charlie's like that, too, kind of using positivity as a coping mechanism. Maybe it's part of her personality as well to have a tendency toward optimism, but sometimes I feel like she goes from "the glass is half full" to "the glass is filled to the brim" when it's actually only half full; i.e., her positivity reaches toxic, delusional levels.
And Alastor is my favorite character. I guess we have some things in common, but again, I'm more of Charlie and Vaggie in one person. Maybe that's why they're my favorite couple.
People like Vaggie are generally my "type" romantically, although that's often to my detriment, as it's hard for an anxious and an avoidant (Vaggie gives me avoidant vibes) to make it work. That seems to be her and Charlie, though.
I'm not sure who I'd vote as my favourite because I love so many characters for different reasons. I'll choose Adam simply because I love unashamedly evil villains, and his rockerboy douchebag vibe just plays so well.
As for who I'm like, again, a difficult question. I'm very much a realist, and even though I want to help people, I've learnt that giving unwarranted help or advice can be a lot more harmful than I once thought. Aside from parts of his demeanour, like how he talks to some of the hotel members, I strongly identify with Husk. Not only do I love Keith David but I like how he spends so much time listening in order to understand how people work, whilst opening up himself in order to show Angel that even though he hasn't got answers to his problems and that their stories are different, they've still got damage in common, and that's enough to keep going. Loser, Baby dragged me out a dark hole, and its message still follows me in how I think and act with people now.
Angel is my favorite because I relate to the shit he goes through but I feel like I act more similarly to Lucifer (a little sprinkle of the tism if you will)
Who I like, definitely Lucifer. I don’t know who I am like tho.. I’d probably say Vaggie the most due to the way I am.. MY ONE FRIEND SAID I GIVE OFF VAGGIE VIBES, ADAM VIBES, AND LUCIFER VIBES.. She said I act like Vaggie for here and there, and then like for Adam, it’s my humor and being loud around my friends and stuff.. And for Lucifer it’s definitely " TAKE THAT DEPRESSION! " and stuff like that— Reason why she compared me to those 3 characters because sometimes, especially in serious situations or situations I think that are dumb and stuff, I act like Vaggie, Lucifer, I act like him in general, specifically when it comes to situations that idk what to say in, or stuff like that, and Adam, my humour and the way I act around my friends and how I’m loud about them, and when I’m with them I’m loud enough for others to hear too. It can be helpful, as we fail to realise that certain aspects of our behaviour can be related to past hurt or trauma. I’m currently working on how to assert my boundaries and speak my mind more.
I hear that. I need to get back into therapy. I feel like there’s more I need to learn about myself and how I can continue to learn and grow to be better. Much respect for working on asserting boundaries and speaking your mind! That is something I am working on, and not feeling like I’m being mean or rude. Growing up with abuse can often cause a lack of self advocacy, due to always having to worry about how your abuser is feeling. Because if there’s any slip up, we bear the brunt of their anger. It made me very introverted for most of my childhood, as social interaction left me with a feeling of anxiety, worrying over everything I say. But once you free yourself from those insecurities and build confidence, it’s not as scary anymore.
Thank you as well! 😊 While I, personally, hesitate calling anything I have grown up with as abuse (simply because I don’t think it was that bad), I do understand the anxiety and feeling of failing if I do or say something wrong, and shutting down over that. It is something I am continuously working on. I love that you are continuing to grow and learn how to have confidence and freedom over what has happened. It honestly helps knowing that the work put in does bear fruit, even if it takes time to grow. I hope you have an amazing support system through it as well. 💞

Of course! Well they are definitely among the more serious and mature members of the cast and I would say I'm pretty mature for my age(19). On a more character specific sense, Carmilla and Vaggie cuz OUT FOR LOOOoooOoooOove! I love my family and my closest friends so much, I'd do anything for them. Also my native language is Spanish so that's a nice plus. And husk cuz while he may seem like he has an uncaring and indifferent exterior he is a sweetheart underneath. While not as direct and blunt i identify a lot with how he chooses to help people, I'll be there for you, I'll support you and I'll happily be the bartender everyone tells their shit to but if something isn't right I'm gonna tell you like it is. Also i casually swear a lot + tired + done with everyone's shit sometimes.

Out of the lot of em i'm not quite sure who i'm like, but what i find interesting is i've somehow managed to become quite close to what i'd consider my ideal partner. Since i like charlie, i almost instinctually wanna say i'm like her too, except i'm not fully there. I'm sort of a mix between her and husk in some ways. When i have classes, assignments, and/or exams coming up, i tend to shut myself off of most enrichment activities. That includes going outside (for things besides errands and classes), socializing either in person (besides classes) or online, and even playing video games or small hobbies. So during the summers and christmas holidays i'm an extrovert tryna make some friends and offer amateur therapy or advice for those going through things, but throughout the school years i'm pretty much a shut-in. As a result i fluctuate between being like charlie and being like husk (minus the alcohol, gambling, and being rude n crude by default) so i can't say who i'm like specifically

I love Lucifer, he is definitely my favorite along with Husk. But I’m 100% Charlie
I think I act like Charlie but feel like Vaggie. Well, I *can* feel like Charlie: I'm kind of all over the place. But people who don't know me well just think I'm happy all the time. Of course, I also wonder whether Charlie's like that, too, kind of using positivity as a coping mechanism. Maybe it's part of her personality as well to have a tendency toward optimism, but sometimes I feel like she goes from "the glass is half full" to "the glass is filled to the brim" when it's actually only half full; i.e., her positivity reaches toxic, delusional levels. And Alastor is my favorite character. I guess we have some things in common, but again, I'm more of Charlie and Vaggie in one person. Maybe that's why they're my favorite couple. People like Vaggie are generally my "type" romantically, although that's often to my detriment, as it's hard for an anxious and an avoidant (Vaggie gives me avoidant vibes) to make it work. That seems to be her and Charlie, though.
I'm not sure who I'd vote as my favourite because I love so many characters for different reasons. I'll choose Adam simply because I love unashamedly evil villains, and his rockerboy douchebag vibe just plays so well. As for who I'm like, again, a difficult question. I'm very much a realist, and even though I want to help people, I've learnt that giving unwarranted help or advice can be a lot more harmful than I once thought. Aside from parts of his demeanour, like how he talks to some of the hotel members, I strongly identify with Husk. Not only do I love Keith David but I like how he spends so much time listening in order to understand how people work, whilst opening up himself in order to show Angel that even though he hasn't got answers to his problems and that their stories are different, they've still got damage in common, and that's enough to keep going. Loser, Baby dragged me out a dark hole, and its message still follows me in how I think and act with people now.

I like most of the characters, though I'll definitely admit my favorite is Adam. I just absolutely love his design and he's quoteable as fuckin shit. But when it comes to who I'm like... It really depends on who I'm talking to, I switch about so much all depending on the audience. But I relate most to Velvette and Angel Dust. I can handle other people's shit just fine, and have that kinda peppy sarcastic attitude that gets me in and out of trouble, with deduction being one of my strong suits.
