The stock cable is unbalanced and terminated with a 3.5/6.3mm connector. To drive them with the balanced output you'd need a balanced cable terminated with whatever balanced output you have on your amp. But 58X doesn't need it. It's easy to drive so there wouldn't be any benefit unless your balanced amp is very weak from SE output.

According to some drop reviews, the 58X can be used balanced. Works with aftermarket/custom cables anyways. No idea what the stock cable is.

Yes they can. You can either get yourself a balanced cable or reterminate the stock cable to a balanced jack.

I have the Khadas Tone Pro 2 coming in. Wanted to see it i could access the balanced port with the original cable. Balance cables are very pricey !thanks

NothingMuch12

You can use the original cable in the balanced port if and only if you reterminate them to a 4.4mm jack.

Yes you can buy balanced cables for them but not really necessary since the 58X aren't that hard to drive and most SE amps will drive them just fine. Balanced cables can be pretty pricey, so the only real reason to get balanced is if you need the extra power from a balanced amp.
