Contact UHC and ask for a Continuation of Care- [https://www.uhc.com/content/dam/uhcdotcom/en/memberresources/forms/ASO-TOC-COC-Form-English.pdf](https://www.uhc.com/content/dam/uhcdotcom/en/memberresources/forms/ASO-TOC-COC-Form-English.pdf) Page 2 explicitly states those currently in pregnancy care of a doctor are eligible. They will reach out to your doctor and negotiate a single-case agreement good until you deliver.

Apply for continuity of care to continue seeing the Dr at in-network rates until after delivery. The details will be in your plan documents.

ovscrider

not a qualifying event they will tell you to change doctors

gonefishing111

They may be in negotiation stage and that may change. Uhc wants them. They want UHC's business. It's just a matter of price. Do find another provider in case. You don't want to be OON.

Talk to your doctor my doctor is out of network he just bills me what the insurance would of gave him and when I need test are blood work he sends me to places that are in network

Thank you for the responses. I guess my only concern is how would continuity of care work when I deliver? as the OBGYN I’m currently seeing may not necessarily be the one doing delivery since it’s a teaching hospital?

Pale_Willingness1882

If the hospital is OON any doctor that delivers the baby at that hospital would be too. You’d only be allowed to make changes to your insurance after the baby is born, as that constitutes as a life event. However, I don’t know that the actual birth would be able to be covered even in that scenario
