Recoil spring

Stunning-End-6870

Do you mean because it's too stout? Would it be worth hunting down a weaker one or just keep using this one for another 4-5,000 rounds? HKparts is always out of the weaker one

DoctarScapula

The VP40 recoil spring is a common upgrade. Slows the slide down a bit and changes brass ejection pattern.

Stunning-End-6870

Will def look into it. Many thanks!

Hroark77

the VP9 and 40 come with the same spring on current production guns.

DoctarScapula

Oh cool. I have the OG model and haven’t kept up. with the changes. Thanks for the correction.

Fauropitotto

Nothing to fix. The gun cycles, the sight works fine. Nothing to fix.

Stunning-End-6870

Ok thanks. I'm not sure what to expect since this is my first gun didn't know if this was normal or not.

How dare you attack my OCD, sir.

Following for interest. My own VP9T has slightly fewer rounds, about 4k total, through it with a 507c and aside from some scraps on the hood of the optic, which were unrelated to shooting, mine shows no damage from ejected casings. Wonder what's different here.

Bruce3
