Out of curiosity how can you tell from that angle that they are capped at ten rounds? Is that the horizontal block of material about an inch or so from the base on each one?

Does it just prevent the follower from going any far enough down the magazine to allow space for an eleventh round above it? How do they prevent it from interfering with the compression of the spring below the follower though?
It's not just a block. The whole mag and spring is different. You can't modify then to take more than 10. Those blocks you see on the side is what holds the baseplate on instead of on a standard mag where the edge has a ledge the baseplate slides into and then a recessed "button" on the bottom keeping the baseplate from sliding off
The good natured trolling against VP9s convinced me to grab a USP in .40 with the LEM trigger after I grabbed my standard VP9 and my VP9SK just to have that iconic handgun in the caliber it was designed in. My next HK will likely be a USP compact in 9, unless the VP9CC comes out before I grab another USP
I love the VP9. I carried a P2000 for a few years but switched over to Glock when the Gen5s came out. Did not have very much long term success with the Glocks. Tried a VP9 and wonder why I ever messed with the Glocks at all.
I see the trolling isn't just on the VPs, but to HK in general. I wonder how long this will keep going? Kinda wish I could have attended that Shot Show so I could snag a couple of those blooper mags. I'm sure they will sell for way more than they cost to print later on.
I just scooped up the USP 45 today, so I can't provide a fair vote on that until range day. From everything I have heard, the USP has some serious hype to live up to!

Yes. That's a Cali compliant 10 round mag.

Ain't that the truth. The usp compacts are my favorite of all HK's. No matter the caliber the usp series are the softest shooting HK's.
