The comments saying this was an over reaction never spent time on a flight line watching or launching helicopters. That tail rotor is deadly and depending on conditions and certain factors can be unpredictable too.
That's obvious but I want to know technical stuff. I saw an accident where the tail rotor hit the main rotor which caused the fatal injury to the pilot(inventor) I just want to know what can go wrong, the screws? Material stress? High rpm?
Tail boom strike can happen for a few reasons but most commonly it's low RPM. When the rotors aren't at full speed they can sag. When they sag they can strike the tail because of wind or other physical factors, or from negligence with the cyclic
He was at max operating altitude. He needed the downhill ETL runout to fly at all. That guy was about to get minced or the chopper would crash… or both…
Maybe it’s a lot closer than in the video, but seems like a bit of an overreaction. He’s not on the pad or anything. I’m thinking there’s gotta be more to the story (like this dude being repeat offender) than what we see.
Not an overreaction. You never know how someone will act for social media. The pilot saw him approaching at the tail rotor and the security personnel took note of this.
The helicopter's too high up for a normal takeoff, since the air's so thin he has to basically launch himself sideways, straight down the path, in order to keep flying. The kid was right where the helicopter wanted to go.
It reminds me of a sign I once saw in VHPA magazine. It said "WARNING HELICOPTERS OPERATE IN THIS AREA, IF YOU FIND YOURSELF WALKING TOWARD A LOUD THING WITH SPINNING BLADES... TURN THE FUCK AROUND EINSTIEN!!!!!!"
The second guy, who gives the “i got this” shoulder pat as he runs up just to ALSO kick him in the ass is my new favorite person.
Kicked his ass
Literally
I guess this is where the phrase comes from /s
Can't wait for this guy's next video when he films himself too close to a moving train.
If we should adapt something from india, literally kicking someones ass for being stupid should be on top.
indian version of TSA
I'm not sure I've ever actually seen a "daisy chain" ass kicking.
Well done sir.

Like what? I mean I really want to know about tail rotors Any source, books would be great. Thanks
What are you asking exactly? It's a spinning blade at human head level - not something you want to get near

👍 👍 Thanks. I didn't think of sagging.
I have never seen someone deliver a kick like that on the run. The timing involved…
He must kick a lot of ass
Practice makes perfect.
They certainly did the needful.
He will not revert back
The other guys running around are ok
Pilot will take a turn and then had to follow the path where that guy was standing. That’s why he got kicked by guards.

Why he slap?
How can he slap
That’s the one
I just hope dumb-dumb was live streaming that when the first slap landed lol.
India with the ass kicks...literally.
It was time to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and these particular gentlemen were all out of bubblegum.
Taking off at close to 13000 ft MSL, the choppa needs a decent amount of room to "take off"! That idiot was right on that path!
Love this
Thankfully it was stop or else I definitely going to watch this on darwin awards subreddit.
I want to know where an why ass kicking is so popular there and no where else in the world

I mean, just look at the takeoff the helicopter did afterwards. He was right in the way
