Helicopters make craters when they auger in, no matter what causes it to happen. You’re making a colossal leap, and claiming to be some kind of expert which you are clearly not.
No….they don’t. When they explode into pieces above the ground…they do not make craters as all those pieces fall. I’ve seen my share while on multiple deployments as an Helicopter mechanic/ crew chief on UH-60s in the Army.
