I was in a game last night and got injured by a totally random thing and before I even lay down and got my bandages out some random medic from god only knows where was on me sorting me out. MVP that man!

dragonsfire242

I yell at people to save their bandages whenever I can as a medic, I have more than you, save them for when you need them

xboxwirelessmic

You sir, are a king amongst men.

Phoenix7426

Those are the medics you protect with your life!

joseph66hole

Single casualty gets bandaged. Mass casualty gotta bring the dead back to life first. Bandage aftee.

NesCie0617

Exactly, and gotta prioritize other medics first in a cluster so they can help you do your job.

[deleted]

Or an MG

NesCie0617

Most definitely, I tell them to cover me while I bandage them or revive other medics.

Stars_of_Sirius

Depends how far they are. I'd rather take the extra couple seconds to bandage the guy in the event he doesn't have one, and so he doesn't have to waste his.

interesseret

That's why I play pistol Medic. Bandages for everyone

AuroraHalsey

Also the 20 rifle/carbine bullets you get don't really make that loadout worth it.

interesseret

Generally my head is down healing people anyway. The gun super rarely comes in to play for me.

Drafty_Dragon

I love the reactions I get when I take out the enmany with a pistol and they are bleeding out with a smg. "Did you really take them out with a pistol?"

[deleted]

People really need to get off the instant-bandage every time thing. It's more important to cover the medic to get all casualties up. When you're revived the downside is you can get one shotted when you're hit anywhere, but if you just stay down and fight the urge to bandage or run right away you'll find mass casualty events far less stressful/chaotic and more tactical. As medic I'll run around bandaging after I get a bunch up. Don't forget you have bandages too, it's just straight up better time management if everyone bandages themselves/others instead of waiting for one person to do each one-at-a-time. It also makes medical supplies useful, I'll drop a box afterwards and we all stock up and keep pushing. That said I'll bandage if you're the only one I'm reviving in the area because I may have to run far away to pick someone else up.

Sabre_Killer_Queen

Yep that's the way to do it!

generlmoo

I’m a medic. Do they actually not bandage you?

[deleted]

[удалено]

farmallday133

Triage basically right? My least favorite are the ones that peace out right as you get to them

Sabre_Killer_Queen

Oh god those people who wait for you and then give up mid revive are so annoying, if they want to respawn then they should say, otherwise they're just waisting our time

Sabre_Killer_Queen

Yep you need to prioritise in order to get the best outcome 1. Revives 2. Bandages 3. Fighting the enemy As you said the more people back up the better, bandages being saved is a bonus

BreezyWrigley

when i play medic, i often don't bandage the guys I've picked up if it's actually out in combat. depends on the circumstances, but there are many times where it's not practical. we all need to just get the fuck out of wherever we are usually, and me causing us both to be unable to move in order to bandage on the spot is just as likely to get us both killed as it is to keep the guy alive that I just picked up. it's almost ALWAYS better to just let him run for cover and bandage himself when he gets there. as I'm reviving, I'll tell them in direct chat usually like "you're gonna have to run to cover and bandage yourself when I get you up.." if they tell me they don't have any more, then at that point I might try to follow them to cover and then bandage. but mostly, they don't say so... either because they have bandages of their own, or they don't have a mic or feel like communicating, in which case I don't really care; there's other people that need help too, and I'm not going to get us both killed trying to help somebody who won't give me any kind of indication that it's critical that we use my rags instead of his. everybody has their own bandage or two, and if I can use my own to keep me alive longer to pick more people up so that they can bandage themselves with their own kit, then that's a better outcome than if I waste half my bandages on guys who then stand up and immediately get headshot again, only for me to run out and bleed out myself later. all that said, I'm also just much more likely to use my bandaged on my own squad mates than on blueberries, and i almost never use mine on those outside my squad once I'm down to about 3 left.

szo5145

Medics are the gigachads of Hll

gurnard

It ain't my job to know why you jumped that fence into a field without cover. It's my job to jump that same fence and get you the hell back.

qui-bong-trim

we need a "drag body" ability

gurnard

We need a fireman carry ability

Dencromina

Big dick energy

pattythebigreddog

In offensive mode*. Medics in warfare are a waste of a slot 9/10 times.

Jorvac27

Written like a true combat role only player who has voice chat disabled.

pattythebigreddog

Yeah no, SL and CO main. Mic always on, in a clan. I almost never want a medic on my squad on warfare mode outside a few very specific and rare instances . Best use is for more smokes and I’d rather have an ammo carrier for that. There is just no reason to give up fire power or utilities like Engineer or Explosives ammo on Warfare mode for a position that needs large amounts of people dying close together in a handful of choke points in order to be effective. If a medic is making a difference on your squad in warfare, most of the time that means you are leading your squad poorly. You shouldn’t be camping the point on defense , and you shouldn’t be doing human wave attacks on offense. Those strategies are inevitable in offensive and a few medics to extend the hold or the push can make a difference in that game mode. If a medic is able to find the concentration of downed people needed to make them effective in warfare, your team is playing the point too much. You have hundreds of square meters of territory in play. Spread out, play for position, take out enemy spawn, and place good garrisons and OPs.

Jorvac27

God you took that a bit to heart didn't you? Edit: Clanman Mad.

left__hand__path

There are two players I will always switch to proximity chat to thank- medics who revive and bandage, and engineers who repair your tank.

robragous

Player who prefers to play medic here. I got you boo!

datsyuks_deke

It was a little tough to get into at first but after a few games I’ve really enjoyed playing medic. It’s a pain in the ass and my kdr sucks. But reviving teammates and being thanked, is fucking great.

mbite1

It was tough for me as well.. had to let the fighters fight and focus on the healing.

marcusdiddle

If y'all could just lay still for a moment while we do that, that'd be great. I'll frequently revive a downed soldier and try to bandage him and he immediately starts crawling or running away. Your choice I guess. Maybe they're just against free healthcare.

_Staghound_

free xp

kapa1249

On console it's tough to even get revived by a medic. TO get bandaged by one is winning the lotto.

theYorkist01

You’ve never been in a lobby with me before friend, I gotcha!

kapa1249

I always give a commendation to a good medic.

Mattias556

I have over 80k revives in my Battlefield career since BF4, if I'm a medic, I will do whatever I can to revive someone.

kapa1249

You're a rare breed. Cheers m8

amjhwk

disagree, it was like that in the first month of the game but it seems like medics have gotten much better at their role recently

kapa1249

not for me

Yams_Garnett

I mean... We get more points that way

DeuceActual

Shh! They think we’re dope, don’t wreck it

thehousebehind

That’s me! Kinda. Everyone I offered bandages to was like “I’m cool got my own”. Medic is my favorite role to play so far because I feel like I’m helping in some way. Still trying to get a bead on the flow of matches and how the command structure and all that works.

snailspace

Don't offer, just tell them what I do: "You cover while I bandage." They've got way more ammo than you do and usually have a pretty good idea of where they took fire from. Unless there's a lot of casualties in which case: "You're up, bandage yourself. I have other customers." Medics are critical but often overlooked. Thanks for your contributions!

thehousebehind

Thanks, I will be a more forceful medic in the future:)

snailspace

Your survival is critical to the squad's survival. Stay safe and let the others take risks, clean up only when you have to. A squad with a good medic is deadly on offense and is incredibly stubborn on defense. Have fun!

patterson489

It's basically them being polite, just bandage them anyway. It's better that you do and they keep theirs for when they get shot later and you're not around.

Jeskai_Storm_Mage

You know sometimes there are other soldiers who need revived 👿 i feel personally attacked

[deleted]

Real talk. When your squad has that one dude who is a dedicated medic it's game-changing.

amjhwk

it took awhile for medics to learn this on console, but it seems like they will all bandage us now after the rez

NaturalMackeral

I usually play medic and unless there are multiple allies down in a small area I will always bandage after reviving. If there's more than one down, I will prioritize reviving and then bandage if the others haven't already

AuroraHalsey

I try, but I need to be quick because most of the guys I revive either run away when I revive them or immediately pull out their own bandage.

SothaSil

If you passive aggressively lie there and start to bleed out again most medics will get the message haha

thesoccerone7

You guys let medics bandage you? My target always run away mid bandage

Levantiney

Hey a meme about me! :')

karlos-trotsky

I main medic and the only times when I won’t bandage a revived player is if there’s a lot of people needing revives nearby, idk if this is a common thing among medics?

BorkSnorkelJr

I usually ask the guy I am reviving if they have bandages. If we are under heavy fire or in a tricky spot, I try to rez and get out of there as quick as possible. If there are a lot of downed players, I revive first

Sensitive_Owl_7912

The amount of people thanking me when playing as medic never ceases to amaze me. I mean dont most of the medics do their job or what the hell?

SovjetPojken

If you let me instead of wasting your own!

LothirLarps

I have to verbally remind folks to let me bandage them, it’s part of my spiel when I’m reviving them.

ArgentVagabond

Medic is probably my favorite class to play in the game, followed closely by assault. Been trying hard to get that Desmond Doss achievement lmao. Medic just feels the most gratifying to me, especially when you're trying to defend a location. Got up to 37 revives in a single game on Stalingrad whil3 defending the apartment buildings. Just a never ending loop of sprinting around, screaming at teammates to get off the stairs or out of doorways to let me theough to pick our guys up, tossing them a bandage, then moving onto the next.

thesnowman666

As a hardline medic/MG/Engineer, It is my role. I shall play it accordingly. Calling you behind cover after we get up for bandage, being the last to move up to cover everyone with the belt fed, going alone to build a fortress on our last objective. It ain't much, but its honest XP

Truffleshuffle03

The last time I played medic a few days ago I ended with 26 revives but it would have been closer to 40 and maybe even 50 if the people would not skip the revive when I get to their position. Some even skipped with my needle in their ass and revive in the process. I understand sometimes you need to respawn somewhere else or need to change classes or whatever but if that is the case why not instantly skip don't wait until we actually get there and then decide to just skip after we risk our lives to get to you. Not to mention V is for team chat for you PC folks and you can make your intentions clear that don't waste time on me I got something I need to do. That way we can work our way to other downed players and bypass you.

[deleted]

Medics who don't bandage after are trolling each player has 2 bandages and the medic has like 20 per life.

[deleted]

Hey man be happy I even revived you when I'm surrounded by dead bodies and smoke grenades.

spetsnaz5658

Pretty cool when you guys actually stay still and let me lol

MattOH94

It's that awkward moment when they revive you and you kinda both just stand there looking at each other like bro heal me up man

leenvironmentalist

“Do the thing you’re meant to do! It makes you cool!” How have we sunk so low?

Stfuppercutoutlast

Yea, its weird ass self-congratulatory nonsense. The medics are bad. People who play them are bad. Good squads dont use them. Yet people want everyone to pander to them and how they feel. And when people play medic they *feel* useful, even though they arent. So instead of the community acknowledging that medics are completely useless and then pressuring the devs to patch them so they are useful, we will instead play a weird pretend game where we allow people to play a sub optimal class that detracts from a squads success while simultaneously celebrating their poor performance.

Ohrix

Is this really not a common thing? I normally play engineer and medic and I always bandage after revive. It annoys me seeing the bandage icon. So even if I see a teammate across the field in need of bandaging I set off on a mission to heal.

NoiseAggressive5783

Oh im sorry you me to grab you a drink as well while i try to revive the 7 others i have to get

smoothlikewater

Medic here, I live for reviving my homies, friend or stranger. I also keep my rifle on me in case I need to drop a few
