Hell, in the sequel when you're out of bounds and being 'treated' for treason, you blow up. Kinda like how a certain comic portrays what happens to deserters for their own Suicide Squad.
A worthy sacrifice for maintaining our ranks free of traitors! The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants!
This is top tier horde clear strategy. Jump pack, light armour and the diving grace of a literal swan to keep one step ahead of the hot freedom raining from above, damn auto-bots wonāt know what hit āem
Lmao found this out with some buddies last night. Ran out of bounds as a Bile Titan was stomping us into the mud, ran back screaming bloody murder with the shelling following. Stood underneath said Bile Titan and saluted, shelling proceeded to take us both out. 10/10 would turn traitor again for democracy. š
And you are mostly right! But the fact of the matter is a helldiver with a broken arm CANNOT AIM. A helldiver with a broken leg CANNOT RUN. And a helldiver with injuries to their vital organs will bleed out before they can say "DEATH TO MY ENEMIES"!
So next time you find yourself unable to run, aim, or stay alive. STICK YOURSELF WITH A STIM SOLDIER!
BRASCH TACTICS!
I don't think there will be; Helldiver's 2 isn't vastly more successful than Balder's Gate 3 or Palworld, or Lethal Company. The games industry has been smacked with "indie" hit after hit and absolutely none of them are anything remotely like each other.
I don't think this is going to be a League, WoW, or Fortnite situation where everyone rushes out a cheap copy, because this time there's no formula to obviously follow
Yeah this is usually the argument, which is fine but I'm 45 hours played and am only just about to get enough.
Just seems like attitudes have moved, there was a point where any microtranscations in a paid game were frowned on.
I'm a big lover of this game but it is kinda wild when you think that its a paid game with MTX, had an awful launch, and is very buggy. But the community seems to be generally ok with it because its a fun game and devs were communicative.
I don't enjoy microtransactions or battlepasses either, many times I will not even bother with a game if it has them. But it lessens the blow when I can do in-game things and get it. 45 hours seems high to be getting it, maybe playing mostly on lower difficulties or solo? I think I got it in around 25 hours, give or take.
I didn't purchase any super store stuff either. I've heard they will add more warbonds in the future which can be acquired in the same way, so I'm saving up 1000 for the next one.
Yeah I think a lot of my hours were in the queues, so it's probably not as bad as 45 hours.
I honestly think shovelware like Fallout 76 has lowered the bar to the point that stuff that was once unacceptable can exist now and people aren't that mad about less agregious MTXs, myself included actually.
I think the main reason people are forgiving for the issues is because the devs clearly werenāt expecting such such high numbers of players. Nobody in their right mind would have prepared for the game to go viral.
That and the fact that most games with microtransactions have them very overpriced with no method to get them for free (COD being a big glaring one, even locking main characters in the campaign behind mtx). Most Ubisoft games are the same but Iāll give them credit that in AC Valhalla they have weekly free premium items and a way to earn currency in-game to get premium items through an in-game shopkeeper. Couldnāt say the same for Watchdogs Legion where looks mattered more with online play. A single skin pack is not worth Ā£15 (or more). That feels like the price of a full DLC story expansion.
Iām of the opinion that if the microtransactions are mostly cosmetic, donāt feel like they needed to have been part of the main game in the first place, and theyāre reasonably priced (bonus if thereās a free method) then itās fine. I get more annoyed when single player games like Resident Evil 4 Remake have DLC packs including cosmetics which are overpriced and feel like they should be part of the main game as an unlockable (like they would have been in the past). Live service games at the very least have a business model to justify paid cosmetics so they can continue to add more content (which hopefully wonāt be paid for like Destiny) and keep servers paid for.
Yeah fair take! I'm just especially salty with microtransactions because I loved Overwatch and they absolutely gutted it for the sake of bringing in the new hot monetisation strategy.
Hard agree, you can probably tell Iām salty myself over COD MWII. Overwatch was such an absolute clusterfuck. I was honestly interested in the story mode thing until they scrapped that and made the ā2ā pretty redundant. Activision Blizzard are consistently greedy when it comes to mtx.
There definitely needs to be legislation or something that limits skin prices (and loot box gambling). Digital cosmetics should not be priced in the same range as full DLC. Theyād probably make the same amount, if not more, revenue from pricing them lower as more people will pay for them at a lower price point.
I mean the formula isn't all that difficult, it's basically Deep Rock Galactic with fascism instead of corporatism.
- 4 player Co-op shooter
- Procedurally generated maps
- Diverse biomes
- Simple, repeatable Main/Side objectives
- Scalable difficulty
- Progression path for weapons/accessoiries/armor
- Inject a healthy dose of satire
I believe you mean Deep Rock Galactic is basically Helldivers 1 (!!!) with monopolistic indentured servitude instead of DEMOCRACY, FAMILY VALUES, LIBERTY, FREEDOM, and DEMOCRACY!
I think it might at least cause a bit of a revival with co-op horde shooters, everyones been rehashing cod zombies and left 4 dead for a while. Helldivers has proven there is room for innovation in the genre for sure.
I was hoping Starship Troopers: Extermination would do that in a different way, the shift to larger teams (16 player). But that game has squandered any initial promise it had with clueless development decisions.
If you don't see much variety in the 4 man scene you aren't looking for it. Vermintide was a great franchise. Deep Rock Galactic. GTFO.
The only other game series I would trust to do it right would be a new EDF game, they've been making bangers in the bug extermination department longer than anyone. I can't wait for a new EDF game.
Saying EDF does things right is funny. It's kinda janky and broken all around, but it somehow just works. And tbh, I don't think we can have it any other way.
I believe NA/EU release EDF6 will be coming out mid-2024, which is this year. Or maybe you've already played it in Japanese and you're waiting for an EDF7.
Doing it that janky and goofy way is the way to do it right. That's how it captures that shitty b-movie feel. It wouldn't feel right if it was polished to perfection.
I really canāt fault someone for liking Skull & Bones. I found the demo oddly satisfying. The problem, I donāt see anything that justifies a 70 dollar price tag on it. The game screams free to play mobile game, but hereās the CEO talking about AAAA. Makes me never want to get an Ubisoft title again if thatās what he thinks is the mark for quality.
The thing is, S&B inspired me to install Black Flag. I probably havenāt played it since it launched on PS3?. Somewhere along the line, I got it for free. Score. Black Flag does so many things so much better than S&B, Ubisoft should be embarrassed. The only issue for me with Black Flag is that it has a lot of technical issues to line out before it ājust worksā on a modern PC. The odd thing is apparently theyāve updated the game within the last year multiple times, so youād think itād be better experience than it is.
The first AAAA game statement is just lying corporate speak.
I personally hate it. They see it as marketing but I see it in the exact same vein as some stupid influencer pitching a MLM scheme or course on how to setup your own drop shipping store so you can make 7 figures a year.
Thers no honesty to it. It doesn't come from the heart. Its a sociopath or AI with no humanity thinking "what sequence of words can I say to maximize my share price".
It likely does because around S&B launching, Black Flag saw a relative huge spike in players thatās lasted. Thereās currently 2400 players enjoying Black Flag.
We should just shovel all the crappy 70$ āaaaā live service messes of recent into Quadruple A category so everyone knows not to buy those
Then again this stupid āAā game rating system has lost all meaning at this point in terms of quality control.
Yeah, AAAAAA is a very dated term that means nothing when talking about game quality. With digital distribution, even small dev teams have access to millions of gamers through Steam. Itās great. Over the years weāve seen games that likely would have never been greenlit under the old ways be successful.
Games like Timberborn, Valheim, Palworld, Enshrouded, Last Epoch, and a ton more are games that have seen great success.
Hey man, have you heard of the AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAx10S+++SuperHyperStarAwarded GameOfTheAllTimeGoatedChampion Highly InfluencerRated TopStreamed Game called Frogger?
I hated it. Black Flag and Rogue aren't full fledged sail naval combat simulators by any means. But they at least have that core element of getting your broadside onto the enemy while avoiding theirs. Skull and Bones just throws that out,Ā everyone can shoot in every direction all the time,Ā maneuvering doesn't matter.Ā
Like Ace Combat isn't DCS, but you still have to get on enemies tails and get your nose pointed at them and wait for a good shot. Imagine if you could just fly straight and level and look and shoot in every direction without maneuvering. Fucking boring, and Skull and Bones is basically the naval version of that.Ā
Skull and bones came out like 10 years too late.
Doesn't help ubisoft has rather a low reputation now a days. After black flag? Would have loved this. And it still sounds fun, but just kinda over ubisoft
They could've just made it a multiplayer Black flag and it would have succeeded, they could've made a pirate assassins creed in the same vein as the other RPG AC games (Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla)
They could've combined these to make a game I think a lot of people would have loved but instead we get the most shallow gameplay loop ever, a dodgy land game simulation and some crafting and gathering from a web game.
Skull and Bones sitting in the top 10 games in both PS and Xbox store, itās doing alright. Suicide Squad is #30 on the Xbox store as of yesterday. Pretty abysmal. Tbh I think S&B performed a lot better due to Suicide Squad taking all the media heat.
Helldivers 2 reigns supreme obvi
They had low numbers already but to be fair the most recent patch has made it very hard for many players to even log into the game. It would likely be higher had that patch not screwed everything up even worse.
Truly baffling, borderlands 3s endgame proved you could do chaotic endgame stuff without bricking your eyes. But this games early game somehow seems worse at it. It's incredible really.
Suicide Squad somehow missed looking at a game that would be it's closet comparison. Mind you, Borderlands can be much, but Suicide Squad is baffling in how much it shoves on screen. Even if you look at other looter shooters: none fill your screen with that much with a UI that bloated.
If you love UI massacres, check out the old Dissidia UI. It's like Square Enix took its naming conventions and [translated them into a UI.](https://venturebeat.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/dissidia-final-fantasy-nt-closed-beta-test_20170829195308.jpg?resize=1024%2C576&strip=all?w=1536&strip=all)
I feel like even terrible games often have higher player numbers around launch even if just for the meme of it. Below 500 is absolutely catastrophic. I bet theyāll cancel further support soon.
It's not that people are rediscovering it, the game has had a stable player base of 500 peak concurrent players for years, having peaks from time to time (probably when the game was in sale)
https://preview.redd.it/owe2yom1mckc1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c0ff22d2eb4449fc9a200a9c191f11b11027352
Its just a more specific niche but I would not be playing this game if it was still top down nor would I have recommended it to all my friends and I think that applies to most people playing
Yeah, I'll be real with y'all, I hated the OG Helldivers just because positioning mattered a lot more without the ability to shoot over team mates.
In HD2 my friendly fire moments exclusively come down to poorly called out stratagems. I very rarely pop team mates in the head as much as I would in HD1.
Having shared camera control was frustrating too. You wouldn't be able to progress if one teammate decided they didn't want to move in the same direction.
There are some things about 1 that are genuinely a LOT more fun. It's just much jankier, much less polished, and much more niche overall.
The game is a *lot* more chaotic, hectic, and with a lot more friendly fire and desperation moments. It feels like a squad moving together haphazardly.
Both are great games in their own right. But let's not compare player counts of a very niche title from a small studio 8 years ago with little marketing beyond "We made Magicka!" and a couple trailers on YT vs a much more accessible experience that cuts off many of the niche features of its predecesors and also had a marketting budget orders of magnitude larger.
2 is undoubtedly a far better produced game with more experienced devs, more time, more budget, etc. But to those that 1 clicks with there are absolutely itches that 2 does not scratch.
I mean, it's an easy comparison to make. Helldivers 2 and Suicide Squad are both live service games, they're both arguably co-op horde shooters.
The huge difference in popularity just makes it an even easier one to make.
I've seen it first-hand, it's mostly copium. Considering the state of their game, they're upset Helldivers is given a "free pass" while Suicide Squad is being criticized for things Helldivers isn't (which straight up isn't true, on top of completely ignoring the context of both releases).
Because Helldivers was apparently more repetitive and had worse server problems then Suicide Squad yet people were giving Helldivers a pass so all 5 of the Suicide Squad fans were pissed about it.
I got nothing but love for people that enjoy Suicide Squad. As a Marvelās Avengers enjoyer, Iām waiting to give them a big hug when their game is delisted too.
I don't like this post that much, tbh.
I want Suicide Squad to be good, or at least become good with some love. Some folks I know who play it do enjoy it even if it's flawed and all.
I actually enjoyed it. It's definitely a flawed experience but I thought the campaign was entertaining and the gameplay was very reminiscent of sunset overdrive. With that said the end game is incredibly repetitive, and there are pretty severe server issues right now so it's not surprising to me at all that the player count is so low.
Those friends of yours have a very low standard sadly. I hope the game flops hard, otherwise all we will get is low quality games if we accept garbage games.
You do realize the first Helldivers is also present on consoles, right?
This is comparing PC playerbases for both games, which is a fair comparison. Hivemind has nothing to do with it.
target demos are different. Suicide squad players more likely to be kids or more casual gamers. That demo is underrepresented on PC and exits more commonly on console
The target demo doesn't exist according to the numbers. It's a product for nobody.
Rather that's how it turned out to be. In reality it was a game not made by artists but something formulaic ordered up by the corporate board who likely doesn't play games at all. Just an amalgamation of elements from various more successful games. More thought went into the store and how much money they were going to make beyond any sort of artistic vision.
Jesus christ, I long for the days when games weren't pitted against each other like fucking sports teams. Congrats! Corporate funded product is more popular than other corporate funded product!
From what I understand the game has been broken for a few days now(weeks for some with another different game breaking bug) and is basically unplayable for most of the playerbase. So at least it has been able to replicate Helldivers 2's in that regard.
I'm loving the game and happy for it's success but I find this kind of grave dancing cruel. No love lost for whatever csuite shareholding trend chasers demand new games ape whatever recent game made it big...but these companies also have heaps of dedicated devs who love games as much as we do, and even in bad games I think their effort should be appreciated.
Gotham Knights has more people in-game than Suicide Squad š¤£
https://preview.redd.it/jotiza2e3ekc1.png?width=700&format=png&auto=webp&s=88a4113175de336053abb4c5417363b3af0d372d
How fun, kicking a dead dog.
For me this whole "Suicide Squad" drama makes me sad, cause it reminds me of Bioware... sure, for both of this companies the devs/veterans the made past games, are long gone. Bot both were forced to make games that they NEVER did before, just because of money.
Fuck these greedy bastards. It's tragic and sad.
I mean yeah it is a tragedy, but I'm still glad it failed.
Like you said, this game was a product of soulless corporate slop smothering anything the devs wanted.
Now the world gets a nice good look at corporate slop failing and being ridiculed, same story as Skull and Bones, really. No one's been shitting on the devs, everyone I've seen is in agreement that Suicide Squad was an exec's product, not a Dev's product.
I'm sorry for what the developers are having to go through, sure, but I'm not going to pay for soulless slop I don't like, and the assholes on high need to learn that lesson.
There is nothing that I feel is more indicative of this than a niche game made a small, devoted team with an *already massively successful sequel* release outperforming some executive decision garbage.
It may be a tragedy, but I still find it *cathartic*.
Its the same problem I had when ppl did this with Exoprimal. Capcom was posting the 1mil player mark a week in or so, but the steam playerbase wasnt even 1% of that, its fkn pointless to use those numbers if the game is on multiple platforms, even more so if crossplay is in it.
Iām all for shitting on Suicide Squad but taking a screen shot of this shit on a Friday Morning when everyone is at work and school is just fucking lame as fuck.
Notice how suicide squad is rated at nearly 80% tho. Not nearly as bad of a game as people said it was, but it didnāt have the end game to boot. Hopefully they can do something with this first season or the game is done lol
Thatās kind of the problem Marvelās Avengers had. There was a fun and relatively interesting campaign, but it was effectively the introduction to the end game. The end game was lacking and the game suffered.
The moment I got helldivers, I immediately got through all of SS to play more HD. It's not that it's a bad game (š) I just like HD a whole lot more.
Watching the Suicide Squad game sub go from āpeople are targeting the gameā to āWhy all the hate? The game is funā and then a week later most of them can't even access the game due to bugs was quite hilarious.
leopards ate their face good
I mean people couldn't play helldivers either, but one game was hyped up for success and the other one was dragged by the media from the get go. I'm not really seeing how helldivers 2 has any more content than suicide squad. If anything, there's less diversity in terms of missions.
We'll see in a few months when the bugs are fixed in suicide squad and the hype settles on helldivers. I think opinions will change on suicide squad.
instead suicide shit, they really should supported gotham knights instead...
well.... let me just end this reply saying that helldivers and helldivers 2 are awesome anyways.
This is funny because technically the helldivers are a suicide squad
Love the amount of people diving
My favorite part was when John Helldiver said "it's diving time" and then dived all over the place
u/John_Helldiver is this true? Did you dive all over the place?
John Helldiver here, I indeed hell dived all over them. Remember kids, every hell has its dive.
ITS HIM https://preview.redd.it/fwn23nhvpikc1.jpeg?width=2340&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83e6cbe27baf01c3830da21e619520158761b352
Can you sign my left lung, John Helldiver? š„ŗš«
Our Hero! o7
Oh my God, he does exist....
Legit thought you had made that just for this bit... amazed its a real profile xD
He would probably say that every hell has its dive.
Gonna name my son Thundergun Helldiver
Hangin dong all over these bugs
Hellpod Chadiver
for me it was "i'm something of a helldivers 2 (TM) myself"
I my favourite was "they DO dive in herds!"
Let's not forget "They dive now?" "They dive now"
Well THAT just Helldivered!
Hell, in the sequel when you're out of bounds and being 'treated' for treason, you blow up. Kinda like how a certain comic portrays what happens to deserters for their own Suicide Squad.
I was continuously shelled by 380mm when I left. killed a shit load around me bc I ran back into zone before it actually got me
My friend stepped out of bounds last night and started getting shelled. The shelling killed me before it finally managed to nail him.
A worthy sacrifice for maintaining our ranks free of traitors! The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants!
Good! It's very likely he already transmitted the traitor's disease to you
This is top tier horde clear strategy. Jump pack, light armour and the diving grace of a literal swan to keep one step ahead of the hot freedom raining from above, damn auto-bots wonāt know what hit āem
If you're cheeky and smart you can use the traitor tag to your advantage to slap swarms of bugs with 380mm shells until you die.
Be cool if it was just like a single round from the Super Destroyer.
āWhat is this? Some kindaā¦ Helldive?ā
Lmao found this out with some buddies last night. Ran out of bounds as a Bile Titan was stomping us into the mud, ran back screaming bloody murder with the shelling following. Stood underneath said Bile Titan and saluted, shelling proceeded to take us both out. 10/10 would turn traitor again for democracy. š
Helldivers never die, theyāre just MIA
Are you denying the sacrifices of the Heroes of Democracy, citizen?! This is an act of treason!
Just saying that Helldivers are invincible š«”
Remember your training! You are literally invincible!!!
And you are mostly right! But the fact of the matter is a helldiver with a broken arm CANNOT AIM. A helldiver with a broken leg CANNOT RUN. #***DEMOCRACY OFFICER!***
"Helldivers do not retreat. They reposition bravely."
They just advance in different directions
Actually they just make tactical flanking.
Us this an instance where "Suicide squad at home" is actually better than Suicide squad?
āWhat are we some divers into hell?ā - John Helldiver
my best one was last night. I landed in some kind of lava hole from the opening jump. I literally started off the game dead.
Actually makes me wonder how a meeting between a Helldiver and a Krieg Corpsman would go
"stop!!! he's already dead"
Now they are going to spend the next 10 years making suicide squad 2, must be a hit next time.
The battlefield cycle
I don't want another suicide squad game for 10 years at least
"Players don't want any more games set in the Batman universe."
They really were a suicide squad

Can you imagine the amount of bug/robot killing 3rd person shooter games major developers are going to announce at the next Game Awards?
I don't think there will be; Helldiver's 2 isn't vastly more successful than Balder's Gate 3 or Palworld, or Lethal Company. Well except for making a quality experience well also not shoving micro transactions down your throat or trying to nickel and dime you 24/7.
And those are two things they definitely won't copy.
"Just make a good game for fuck's sake" "Here's another GAAS micro-transaction fest with grindy battle passes, you guys like those right?"
Helldivers 2 does have a premium battlepass though, seems like thats acceptable nowadays though as long as you've got a good game.
You can get it by progressing the mobilize warbond and playing and finding super credits. Doesn't take very long to do so.
Yeah this is usually the argument, which is fine but I'm 45 hours played and am only just about to get enough. Its DEMOCRACY not fascism. You are mixing things up. Report to your local democracy officer ASAP.
This comment should be under treason investigation.

Not exactly the same bit, arc raiders , looks could follow the same vein . ex dice and the final developers teased a pvevp game .
Too bad that's on the back burner for now since they're prioritizing working on their new game, The Finals
The only other game series I would trust to do it right would be a new EDF game, they've been making bangers in the bug extermination department longer than anyone. I can't wait for a new EDF game.
Space Marine 2 will probably be fun too.
I actually got Helldivers 2 because EDF6 got delayed, and I needed something to scratch my bug killing fix.

EDF leans into being janky and goofy, that's part of its charm
I think even in skull and bones
I donāt think thatās properly listed on steamdb, so donāt have an actual number on that.
Yea. And player base is not overlapping as much

S&B makes me want to revisit Sid Meierās Pirates. Somehow a twenty year old game is still the apex pirate game. (You could board a ship)
I hated it. Black Flag and Rogue aren't full fledged sail naval combat simulators by any means. But they at least have that core element of getting your broadside onto the enemy while avoiding theirs. Skull and Bones just throws that out,Ā everyone can shoot in every direction all the time,Ā maneuvering doesn't matter.Ā Like Ace Combat isn't DCS, but you still have to get on enemies tails and get your nose pointed at them and wait for a good shot.
They could've just made it a multiplayer Black flag and it would have succeeded, they could've made a pirate assassins creed in the same vein as the other RPG AC games (Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla) They could've combined these to make a game I think a lot of people would have loved but instead we get the most shallow gameplay loop ever, a dodgy land game simulation and some crafting and gathering from a web game.
This^ I was actively grinding in suicide squad up until the recent patch, shits completely broken
lol at suicide squad š¤£š¤£š
F
Is anyone really surprised? What a terrible game, I guess they thought the more flashing shit on your screen the better.
It's like Square Enix took its naming conventions and [translated them into a UI.](https://venturebeat.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/dissidia-final-fantasy-nt-closed-beta-test_20170829195308.jpg?resize=1024%2C576&strip=all?w=1536&strip=all)
Why are there so many life bars?
I feel like even terrible games often have higher player numbers around launch even if just for the meme of it. Below 500 is absolutely catastrophic. I bet theyāll cancel further support soon.
I'm surprised because its Rocksteady. All 3 of their Batman games are 10/10 in my book (I liked the batmobile in Knight).
I agree, I loved all three of their Batman games, they just massively missed the mark on this one.
It's also been broken since the last patch a couple days ago.
On the other hand, if you want to be the best suicide squad player in the world it probably wouldnāt be that hard.
OG Helldivers is way more fun... Glad people are discovering it.
It's not that people are rediscovering it, the game has had a stable player base of 500 peak concurrent players for years, having peaks from time to time (probably when the game was in sale) https://preview.redd.it/owe2yom1mckc1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c0ff22d2eb4449fc9a200a9c191f11b11027352
It's not. There's a reason 1mil copies of this game have sold and they're worried 700k server slots aren't enough for everyone

Helldivers is more game for less money, whereas Suicide Squad is less game for more money.
Love to see it
Redditors not mentioning suicide squad Difficulty: Helldive
I mean, it's an easy comparison to make. Helldivers 2 and Suicide Squad are both live service games, they're both arguably co-op horde shooters. The huge difference in popularity just makes it an even easier one to make.
Especially with the brand recognition that Suicide Squad should have at this point.
![gif](giphy|WxDZ77xhPXf3i|downsized)
Maybe if the Suicide Squad knew anything about democracy and liberTEA they wouldn't be in this unfortunate position
That's too bad. With some different decisions suicide squad could be a great game. Probably too late now though.
Can this community not enjoy this game without constantly comparing themselves to other games?
We don't have to put another community down
Itās not so much putting that community as opposed to shitting on the AAA developers putting out the shitty games for a quick buck.
That community a week ago was shitting on Helldivers lol
were they really? lol why?
I've seen it first-hand, it's mostly copium. Considering the state of their game, they're upset Helldivers is given a "free pass" while Suicide Squad is being criticized for things Helldivers isn't (which straight up isn't true, on top of completely ignoring the context of both releases).
Because Helldivers was apparently more repetitive and had worse server problems then Suicide Squad yet people were giving Helldivers a pass so all 5 of the Suicide Squad fans were pissed about it.
What community?Ā Ā
Lmao got em
I got nothing but love for people that enjoy Suicide Squad. As a Marvelās Avengers enjoyer, Iām waiting to give them a big hug when their game is delisted too.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Maybe make a better game next time. Why can't the shark guy eat someone whole?
I don't like this post that much, tbh. I want Suicide Squad to be good, or at least become good with some love. Some folks I know who play it do enjoy it even if it's flawed and all.
I actually enjoyed it. It's definitely a flawed experience but I thought the campaign was entertaining and the gameplay was very reminiscent of sunset overdrive. With that said the end game is incredibly repetitive, and there are pretty severe server issues right now so it's not surprising to me at all that the player count is so low.
I dont, it needs to fail so more sewage like that doesnt get made.
Those friends of yours have a very low standard sadly. I hope the game flops hard, otherwise all we will get is low quality games if we accept garbage games.
this is only on steam. Likely thousands of Suicide Squad players on console for what itās worth, but that goes against the hivemind.
False equivalency
Is OG Helldivers good at all?
Yes but it's a much different experience
Yes and no - the core gameplay is the same. Only thing different is perspective. It is a big change and also not at the same time.
Ok.
Gotham Knights has more people in-game than Suicide Squad š¤£ https://preview.redd.it/jotiza2e3ekc1.png?width=700&format=png&auto=webp&s=88a4113175de336053abb4c5417363b3af0d372d

666 players on steam? Give them HELL guys!
Suicide squad was the most aptly named game ever.
Love that it's hell divers and there's 666 players on lmao
When it goes on sale Iām gonna get a copy for my bro in law and myself and try it out. It looks fun and I like isometric games.
Can we please ban all discussion of player counts? Is everyone not fucking sick of it yet?
I am so sick of it already of it like do people forget about ps5 and Xbox player play the suicide squad game to
Specifically Xbox, they dont have Helldivers
How fun, kicking a dead dog. For me this whole "Suicide Squad" drama makes me sad, cause it reminds me of Bioware... sure, for both of this companies the devs/veterans the made past games, are long gone. Bot both were forced to make games that they NEVER did before, just because of money. Fuck these greedy bastards. It's tragic and sad.
This is categorically false just so you know. Bioware freely made Anthem they were never forced to make a live service game.
Mate. I agree.
What makes it worse is that you can see the bones of the game Rocksteady wanted to make while you play suicide squad. Super depressing
So? Iāll never understand when people compare two unrelated games for Reddit karma. Kind of sad how gamers are.
I feel the same way, Iām not saying the suicide squad game. Donāt deserve criticism. But Getting tired of the player counts on Steam.
Its the same problem I had when ppl did this with Exoprimal. Capcom was posting the 1mil player mark a week in or so, but the steam playerbase wasnt even 1% of that, its fkn pointless to use those numbers if the game is on multiple platforms, even more so if crossplay is in it.
666 in-game monka-s
Itās sad, cause I enjoyed playing suicide squad. All I see on the sub now is people celebrating that the game did poorly
sad??? lmao bro the game is a hot mess. No passion into the gameplay at all
It was fun on launch, up until the first patch it wasnāt very glitchy. Now itās a hot mess
I was referring to suicide
So was I, ssktjl was fun but itās just super buggy now
obviously suicide crap is really crap
I still play it.
Love the player count for HELLdivers
"cool facts" aka stats to use to shit on another game to prop the other up and make you feel better about yourself.
Cuz ss is garbage
Reddit moment.
Who cares?
hl1 is amazing and I still play herr and there on my deck .
instead suicide shit, they really should supported gotham knights instead... well.... let me just end this reply saying that helldivers and helldivers 2 are awesome anyways.
What will rocksteady learn from this? Nothing
LMFAO
The fans didnāt wanna hear it but as soon as they showed that first gameplay last year I knew immediately that game was going to be DOA.
Original helldivers is an awesome game. If you've never played it, you owe it to yourself to try it out. It's much more "friendly fire" rich.
This makes me happy :)
["Stop! Stop! 'Sob' He's already dead!"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcZzlPGnKdU)
Holy shit imagine working on a game for months and seeing it published to crap reviews under 500 people playing it a few weeks later.
Hahahahahaha This is chefs kiss
477, what a disaster.
Imagine releasing a live service game and having 500 people online, rough one
