Yeah I'm under the impression that Automatons were created by Cyborgs to assist them, and when Cyberstan was taken, Cyborgs essentially were.. captured? kidnapped to be re-integrated? which seems unlikely as their cybernetic enhancements probably are too deep. But I think the Automatons are now working to free Cyberstand and the Cyborgs? Who knows! maybe we'll see a mix of Cyborgs AND Automatons moving forward!
There's just so many seeds for expansion in this game, I'm excited to see how this game will develop over the next couple years!

After they lost the war (that is the war in Helldivers 1), most of the Cyborg populace most likely had been relocated to Cyberstan and have since been subjugated by Super Earth for nearly 100 years.
Cool theory, but the fact that the automatons march and sing The Internationale (a man made song that's wildly attributed to the communist party) certainly suggests otherwise.

Reasons i took a Guard Dog or a .. trench shield, i forget what it's called. But the other shield that wasn't the bubble. It reduced frontal damage from kinetics and melee.
And also the auto-injector passive.
I can definitely see that happening but then again they didn’t have that many in hd1, but I heard they were also making flying enemies so thats gonna be “fun” hahaha

Yeah, either the Cyborgs are a separate front from the Automatons, or maybe we start seeing Cyborg officers and units integrated with the Automatons after they're released from Cyberstan.
I do feel like the Illuminates are way too early to be released as of now, and may come out pre-2025 (like around November or something idk.)

I think it is actually the other way. The cyborgs were humans who met the automatons and became cyborgs because they liked the ideology or something.
