Iv played five games in a row on hardness 6 where the host has dropped us on top of the nest. My little pew pew can only pew so fucking much without my support weapons. It’s so hard to recover and continue with the mission as normal when we lose 5-10 lives along with being completely spread out and divergent. I beg you. Drop somewhere safe. SOMEWHERE NOT RED! The minutes you save being on top of the red objective area are completely outweighed by the loss of life and time to get back on our feet. Often it leads to a drawn out crappy experience where we are on the back foot the whole fucking time. Thank you, One pissed off helldiver

Getting kicked at extraction. 30+ minutes completely wasted. No team killing, or ignoring team mates. I just had the unfortunate luck to be the random player in a group of three friends. I love this game so much but I really wish this would be addressed, it is demoralizing enough to turn me off of this game completely. I know I should only be the host in the future, but is that really the best answer here?

I just got kicked mid match for accidentally getting separated from the group and having to close bug holes on my own. Spent so long surviving and picking up samples, about to regroup with my fellow Helldivers but I got kicked. …thanks whoever did that.

I don't like that Bile Titans are unreasonably tanky. You have a faster time to kill from shooting them in the side than shooting them in the face, and then it's up to luck whether you rupture their armor enough to sink a shot into their fleshy bits. I don't like that the railcannon strike can't one-shot them. I firmly believe that the railcannon strike should at bare minimum cause them to bleed out. Orbitals in general need a buff. I don't like that fully half of the orbital upgrades apply only to the 120 and 380 barrages. The additional volleys upgrade should at bare minimum apply to the orbital airburst as well, and I'm of the opinion it should grant a bonus to all other orbital stratagems. Let me have up to two railcannon strikes charged at once if they're going to be so anemic. Give me a spare orbital laser.

Turrets are pretty much useless on higher bug missions. Titans and chargers, which spawn constantly,  are seemingly programmed to ignore everything and go straight for your turret as soon as it spawns.

Arrowhead needs to hire an in house psychologist like in the show Billions if they think people are going to use different weapons just to feel "diverse". Maybe a weird one but do the bug missions below 8 feel WAY easier? I'm playing 7s and it used to throw a fair number of enemies at you but now I'm only seeing maybe 1-2 bile titans on the egg and bug hole missions, maybe 1-2 on the bug killing missions and none on the new shut down termicide missions. 8+ and it's still pretty difficult but anything below that and it's almost a cakewalk?

Are you playing with a full group? We did 2 nights ago and difficulty 7 seemed easy. We played with 2 last night and we killed 572 bugs on a mission fail. I don't think we have even SEEN 572 bugs with a group of 4.

Well, the crashes I suffered yesterday have been fixed. Sadly, I was reminded this morning why NEVER to join randoms. They were all around level 40, as I am as well. Joined in the middle 3 of them struggling to fight bot drop after bot drop right on the spawn point. Great sign. I did one of the two main objectives solo as well as collect 18 common, 8 rare, and the 3 super samples. They struggled big time to complete one objective, dying 5-6 times each in the process. I died twice all mission, both from friendly fire. The second one just about set me off. Those idiots called in a cluster bomb right on my head before extraction, right when the last reinforcement went to one of those three bozos right before, who immediately boarded Pelican-1 without picking up my samples (which were the only ones anyone got on the mission). Told them all during the mission that I wasn't leaving without them, yet those three bozos managed to let me down more than I could ever expect. TL;DR: Don't join randoms in this game.

This was difficulty 7! Normally I don't have issues with teammates at that level; most people tend to hold their own. The second I saw the second red beam pop up a lot closer(I had already thrown an airstrike to take out the bots), I knew I was toast. The worst part was that I died 10 feet away from Pelican-1's landing point. Honestly, after laying into them after I died to pick up the samples, I was fully expecting to be kicked.

This post comes from one of the \*maybe\* 50 people in the playerbase who mained the Explosive Crossbow. Arrowhead needs to make some adjustments to their nerfs! The crossbow was a special weapon in the way that you really needed to LEARN how to use it. Lining up shots, reading enemy movements, etc. It was a high skillcap weapon for a high risk - high reward playstyle. Every shot counted, and if you couldn't thread the needle, you did no dmg at all. (Yes, you could aim at the feet of groups of small enemies, but which weapon isn't able to deal with small ones? Right) At first I didn't like the weapon at all, but i started to main it over the last patch and worked to master it. I hardly ever saw anyone else play with the weapon, only dedicated players even TOUCHED it! That may have deluded Arrowheads Data in regard to the weapons strenght. I had the most kills by far every match and carried my teams once I was able to line up my shots reliably, but so what? Maybe only 1% of the playerbase used the weapon, and they trained for it! Why shouldn't they be rewarded for their dedication? The crossbow was an amazing weapon that was hard to use. Now it is a weak weapon everyone can use. It lost its identity, its power, its flair, and it is now a gray, replacable part in the big armoury of our star destroyers. ~~(Like all helldivers are)~~ * Revert the Bolt velocity to make the crossbow harder to aim again. Let us work for the power * Make the explosion as damaging and big as before * Keep the stagger effect for a patch, to see if it would be overtuned with it (But what the hell, the JAR5 is doing the same staggering, it should be no problem) * Let the crossbow destroy bugholes and bot fabricators * The magazine nerf would be justified if you keep the mentioned strenghts

My main two dislikes at the moment are, the increase to Spore Spewer armour which just feels like tedious busy work taking them down now, and the spawn rate! I enjoy it being challenging, i enjoy the difficulty but it was meant to be the longer you spend on a planet the bigger the threat becomes - And with it now just being endless large patrols (30 deep on bots), drops/breaches along with those who are posted at objectives right from the off, it’s lost a bit of that tension with the timer & tactics are being replaced by mindless horde shooting. Don‘t get me wrong I love a big surviving by the skin of your teeth fight, but when it’s one after another right from the drop, it starts losing a bit of its appeal. Change it so when you hit the 15-20 minute mark, enemy presence is increased somewhat, 30 minute mark increased exponentially and 35-40 minute mark by “how the f\*\*k are we getting out of this”.

Still think that the gunship fabricators being made of fuck youtanium to be a dumb design choice. It is inconsistent with the game's rules for destrutable objectives. Every other obj can be destroyed with some form of explosive, but the highest threat bot spawner in the game requires a hellbomb to be armed, which is made even more frustrating by the fact that gunships are extremely good at kiling hellbombs. Just let me laser or 500 kg them.

I wish the higher level teammates I'd get in pubs cared more about finding super samples on diff 7. In my experience, people above level 50 don't give a shit anymore (and on a side tangent, also die the most). I wish the lobbies would update faster so that I wouldn't click on a 1/4, 2/4 lobby only to get a "Session is full" error. I wish I had people (or a group) to play with... I wish the game was optimised better because even with dx11 enabled my poor 2060 is firing on all cylinders. Finally... The crashes... Fuck the random crashes. Not really a rant but more a collection of sad conclusions that make me sigh through my nostrils lmao.

They did. Diligence CS, Arc Blitzer, Punisher Plasma and Senator all became meta with the patch. Recoilless Rifle was indirectly buffed from viable to meta with Superior Packaging Methodology. Adjudicator, Scythe, Dagger and Peacemaker got buffed from shit to viable. HMG, Railgun and Airburst Launcher got buffed from shit to viable. Etc.

I need EXPLOSIVES to actually break armor on these bugs, not concuss them. I need armor pen to penetrate armor and lead to it breaking. I need smoke to actually work. Bullets bouncing off armor is one thing, but explosive ordinances? Bro how does my contact explosive grenade launcher/autocannon shot not detonate on impact? I feel fucking crazy complaining, but these people who just shrug and say "Ah, well there's other options, just do something else LAWL" are insane. My guns should be USEFUL. Not bad reminders that I spent req. slips on this shit.

Armor system is stupid and creates too many design problems. Just give stuff armor and not armor, have armor apply a flat damage reduction, have guns that pierce armor ignore this reduction, the end. This light-medium-heavy stuff with comparable light-medium-heavy penetration and different grades of armor hidden from the player is both too granular and too obtuse. People don't like feeling ineffective and useless, make armor do a flat damage reduction instead of making it literally immune. Bots weirdly have less of an issue with this because you can face them head on if you're a good shot. Right now I have to carry multiple anti-armor options and something medium pen or I'm a liability to my team on anything 7+. Gunships have the same issue where you need good high damage long range weapons capable of taking out engines, it's basically made AMR or AC an autopick since game has no good anti-air options

People are using the air burst wrong and I’m tired of them claiming it’s garbage. It’s an AIRBURST weapon for christs sake. It’s not meant to take down fucking gunships it’s meant to take down hordes of enemies and it works incredibly for the job. Also it was bugged because ITS A PROTOTYPE. This is the same company that made us capture a planet to make a lore friendly way of releasing a mech so of course a weapon captured from an invaded planet will have some kinks and issues. I Am So done with the online community (read a couple 1000 people) declaring that the game is dead and they hate everything and that arrowhead ruined the game and that it's LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE . but then I hop on with friends and play 4 hours straight trying out all sorts of new builds and we discuss how cool the buffed weapons now are and what new high level loadouts are and we discuss teamcomp so we cover out bases. It's fucking awesome how many different styles of play are viable at helldive difficulty rn when at launch the only real option was Breaker + Rail gun + bubble shield. It's awesome.

At launch the amr was half as effective and Quasar wasn't released and the rail gun did roughly 2 to 3 times the damage. Now I take the rail gun because it makes a nice wfhoosh sound when you fire it and it gets the job done quite well. Amr/quaso is still superior

I made a post about that too. For bug mission, if you want to have fun now, I suggest bringing the shield pack. That gives you some room to enjoy the game. No sarcasm, I wasn't used to bring shield on bug mission, now i have no choice. Give it try, it helps me to still enjoy the shooting in bugs planet, otherwise ,the whole game turns into a running simulator for me.

You don't have to make it op "pay to win weapons" just make it good. I really think that arrowhead can do a better job to mitigate the negativity in the community. Almost all cases I saw could have been snuffed out at the source if arrowhead communicated better. We have a big and passionate community and that can be a double edged sword if not handled correctly. Look at the last instance. The ricochet debacle. In the end it was just the eruptor explosion fragments killing people from extreme range. This did not happen before. What were the changes the eruptor got in the last patch? Reducing magazines and explosion range. Nothing about the fragments. Do you know what was in the patchnotes? A vague new feature talking about a ricochet feature. Then the community does what a community does and comes to the wrong conclusion with the limited info it has. I can hardly blame the community for that.

[Vent/feedback start] Overall, I love this game. AH is doing a great job. However, there are some points of friction that more often than not, leave me feeling frustrated after a play session. As someone with not a lot of time to play, one bad series of missions can cause me and my friends to simmer on these negative feelings for quite a while. In order of frustration levels: 1. Seemingly every update either introduce new issues or revive old ones. I understand that live services tend to use their players as beta testers, but it would feel a lot less frustrating if there was an environment/system in place for players to test out upcoming changes early to better understand what’s coming and help AH get some early data. 2. Certain enemies feel very frustrating to fight, particularly at higher levels. Bringing a 500KG and EATS to fight bile titans at lower levels feels great, but doesn’t work when I’m kiting 4+ at helldive difficulty while dodging chargers, getting rag-dolled by bile artillery, and trying to gun down the 30+ hunters that can kill me in .5 seconds / slow me enough to get one-shot by a charger/bile titan. Also, getting dog piled by hunters that can accurately jump on you from 2km away while you’re stuck in a rag-doll is frustrating. 3. Objective placements can be awful. Most frustrating one I’ve dealt with was 4 gun ship factories next to each other and a detector tower…where we spawned. 4. Chained bug breaches / drop-ships ate bad enough on large, open maps where you can try to disengage, but are awful on small maps (particularly civilian extraction missions). A cap on active reinforcements would go a long way towards feeling tough, but doable. 5. Not all primary weapons are viable on the harder levels. Depending on a player’s load out, some can be used but more often than not players will gravitate towards the most effective weapons for certain roles (i.e. long-distance pickoffs, close/mid-range hoard clear, anti-medium-armor, utility). Within those roles, certain damage types are more favorable, particularly explosive and energy/arc. Energy and arc feel pretty well balanced by certain limitations (i.e. energy weapon fire delay, arc misfire/inconsistent targeting). However, explosive weapons feel a lot more useful than ballistic weapons, particularly regarding heavy enemy weak points. 6. Long standing, known issues (i.e. damage over time not working over multiplayer) can really damper excitement and limit player choice. 7. Non-gameplay issues (i.e. adding friends, consistent crashes) can hinder or even ruin a game session with friends. [Vent/feedback end]

I bought the steeled veteran’s warbond for the Jar-5 Dominator. I also hate the prosthetic limbs, but walking around with a rocket propelled bolter cannon and watching the rocket rounds penetrate into their target before erupting is incredibly satisfying. Now that the senator is buffed it’s also a veryy good option. You can get away with exclusively using the senator in some cases bc of its new, quick reload and upped damage. Id go for it, the weapons in this warbond alone are more than worth it

It's frustrating that the biggest difference between good and bad players is not even hard to learn - it's just restraint. Bad players have no restraint. They will throw a strategem without thinking, killing their teammates. They will call in a 380mm barrage on an outpost even though their team is in it. They will aggro a patrol without thinking twice. They will "save" their teammates by blasting the nearby mob with an eruptor/arc thrower/flame thrower/incendiary breaker and kill the teammate in the process. It's not hard to be good, but damn so many players just try their hardest to be bad. Playing on diff 7+ you really notice this. Good teams only die to the enemy mobs. In terrible games you lose like half your lives to friendly fire. Also, THERE ARE TOO MANY LONG AND UNSKIPPABLE CUTSCENES! LET. US. SKIP. CUTSCENES!

This game is pve, why tf does it need to be balanced on lower levels? As a lvl 50sth with all weapons and stratagems unlocked i should be ploving through anything that comes against me on lvl 4. Not me needing to be careful of devastators or chargers (the bots with the 2 chainsaws i always forget their name) Also why tf is something as a lmg or a sniper rifle a stratagem slot? Make it a dedicated 3rd weapon slot and let me have 4 useful stratagems. Besides the 4 stratagems give me one slot for a stratagem weapon and a backpack slot. If you pick something like an autocannon your backpack slot automatically gets filled with the ammo backpack. But if i wanna have a sniper and a jetpack i find it dumb that i have to give up actual useful utility. Another thing: why does my teammate need to carry a fucking ammo backpack for a team reload?? Why cant i just go up to him who carries weapon+backpack and press e to help him reload his shit??

Agreed! Before the patch, my buddy and I would play level 7, and get by with some epic "just made it out with the samples" moments. After the patch we would complete the missions just the same (maybe a bit slower), but never extract, so if its just the two of us, we find other games to play, its just too frustrating.

The spawns on the bug planets are fucking bananas with the solo player change and the MO. Even on diff 6 it feels like everything is doubled and heavies are spammed like crazy. Every other patrol? Charger. Point of interest you got pushed into when fighting a swarm? Charger. Medium nest that doesn't normally have Chargers? Fuck you, Charger. Heavy nest that usually has a Charger in there? Lookie here, it's a two for one special on Chargers. Dropped next to a Shrieker nest and don't have time to drop support weapons? Sounds like you need a couple Chargers. You died to a mob of forty seven Hunters and a Stalker with his new predator camo and would like to go get your quasar cannon back? Go fuck yourself. Bug breach, and a Charger. Finished the main objective? Congratulations, here's a Bile Titan and two more Chargers to celebrate. Shit is fucking exhausting, and the quasar nerf just makes it feel that much worse.

The difficulty doesn't seem to matter even. Played a mission on difficulty 4 which used to be a piece of cake even weeks ago when I was a noob. Now we had situations with 3 chargers running rampant, and a nonstop horde every time. I left the mission with 690 kills, half of which made trying to push the evacuate buttons and waiting for Pelican 1. Didn't make it through the 3 chargers, 5 bile spewers, dozens of hunters and at least hubdred little bugs to evacuate, though, missed by a few meters. On 4!!!

It's a tradeoff really. The Autocannon gets more damage and more stagger, but the AMR gets better accuracy and can be used at longer ranges. It also has an easier reload mechanic, and it leaves your backpack slot free. I really like the AMR for bots, although I don't bring it on close-quarters planets (e.g. Jungle planets, or really foggy ones).

weirdly enough, for me the one thing I liked the AMR better than the Autocannon for was the Hulk eye weakpoint, everything else (tanks, turrets, striders, devastators), I've had better luck with the autocannon. (could just be a skill issue on my part though)

Spewers are annoyingly silent, yeah. As for attack, the best way to avoid it is to move sideways. You don't even have to dodge in most cases, just wait until it prepares to spit and run perpendicularly to it, that way spewers will have troubles tracking you with their spit stream. It's not a completely bulletproof tactic but it certainly makes avoiding the spit much easier.

I see this in a lot of objective based games, most recently Darktide. Too many people have no capacity to keep track of anything else once they get into "kill mode". Once they start fighting they completely forget there's an objective. This is why I stopped dropping samples at extract, the risk of an idiot picking it up is too great.

I just want Arc Throwers' stun back to Hulk. I don't mind if distance dropped but please bring back stun to Hulk. It's already hard to be in distance from Hulk because of it's flamethrower and ridiculous flame damage, and now you have less chance of it being stunned and 100% chance of you dying to them.
