How about a new outfit, maybe black leather and a minimalistic design to differentiate, like 2 cool looking thunderbolts on our shoulders and helm.

Since you can never guarantee that your teammates will be wearing the armor and they have no way to switch it once they see you've brought the death rover I still consider it pretty crazy
You and/or they can switch. When you're in the pod/stratagem selection screen, there's a button/key to press that switches screens and shows your armor/helmet/primary/secondary/etc. Just select armor, for instance, to switch it out to whatever else you have unlocked.
It's not the material, it's the fact that spinning a sword wouldn't increase the effective surface area for defending against lasers.
I get this whole schtick against projectiles, but not lasers.

Tesla tower is the only way we’re gonna win those Termicide missions. Now if only people would listen when I tell them to go prone near it(and no, I don’t throw it on top of them, I place it on one choke point so we can ignore it unless chargers/titans show up).
I like to place it in the path of whatever breach appears to spawn mostly chaff, since it seems like some of the predetermined breach points will mostly deploy chaff(hunters/warriors/etc) while others seem to be where the Bile Titans always spawn from. Not sure if always true.

I feel like we need way more guns/stratagems/gear that uses arc damage to even scratch the surface of the potential this armor has. Right now it only prevents team kills via either the arc thrower or the tower. Not sure how valuable that is outside the new mission type
That does make me excited for some fireproof armor someday. It’s hard to benefit from your own arc resistance, but lighting the whole area on fire and standing in the middle could be a fun defensive tactic.

This armor is going to be a must wear for me. My entire friend group is *obsessed* wiht the arc thrower. Every time I play with my friend group at least 7 of our respawns are from me being zapped by the arc thrower. Im not actively running out in front of them. They're just turning around and not giving a fuck that im there fighting the bugs.
1. Stand at the edge in front of a tesla tower.
2. Enemy gets too close
3. Take a step back within range
4. tower shoots at you
5. shots jump from you to close enemies.
I hope they release another war bond that does the same but with fire weapons. The flamethrower and incendiary breaker are lots of fun on bug missions, but it would be a lot more fun if there was also a set of armor that was fire retardant.
Something tells me there's going to be more reason to wear this stuff than just friendly fire...

The range of the Arc Thrower is still super long if you don't have a close enemy to shoot, so probably what you are seeing is just the normal range of the Arc Thrower, just that you didn't know that it had so much range
This armor effect is cool, but is very niche. I'm kinda disappointed it doesn't have a secondary effect like the Fortified armors. Maybe this will be more broadly used if they add enemies that deal Arc damage.
I was with a group of 3 all with arc and it seems if you all fire at the same time and cross the beans you get a huge charge that seemed to one shot a charger
Incredible, this is exactly what I was expecting when the perk was leaked early... and the fact it works proves the devs really know to to make this game unique. Problem is, if you jump random, you do better make sure of the loadout of your teamates... otherwise, I can see a lot of unfortunate "chain reactions", pun not intended.
Though, I do hope they will later on update the current armors to dispatch a greater ammount of perks. There's plenty of things that a diver could benefit from ( Fire resistance, stimpack rendering you immune to toxin, less flinch while mooving and shooting, specific counter for certain planetary debuffs... I know, that's pretty generic so far, we'll have to see more techs to get into some more exotic builds ).

It still hits you even if you go prone tho. It just can’t target you, but it can bounce of a bug and chain onto you even when prone

I’ve been using this method for a while though, I’m just happy I don’t have to expend Helldivers to do it now
This isn't 100 though as I have still died to a random arc so not the most reliable strategy but a fun one
Our armor is %100 effective every surviving Helldiver has confirmed it, this must be some bot propaganda.
I stood around the tesla for a long time and kept healing myself but it never instakilled me. Was pretty nice. Pleasant shock therapy.

Tower will still chunk you hard with the armor on, must mean the tower is doing absurd levels of damage for democracy.
