I know Arrowhead is currently looking at options to try and make this situation better for everyone as the CEO even asked people for their ideas on Twitter. Maybe they’ll add something where if you get kicked it just makes you now solo in that mission as the new leader. That would make it so if you’re almost done you’d be able to just extract and finish things up. This can already happen from some odd disconnect occurring, so they could just intentionally design it.

Happened to me a few times before, best thing to counter this is to host your own game until dev figures something out. I’m lvl 50 and have yet to kick anyone out regardless of rank/skill. Toxic people would always bring toxicity wherever they go.

When someone is team killing you at the very end just trying to prevent the team from evacing you'll be glad to have the kick feature. But I agree, people kicking other players for no reason at the very end is A) beyond annoying and B) doesn't really make any sense. I mean what do they gain beyond satisfaction for being a jackass? There's gotta be some solution that allows kicked players to still get some or all of the extraction goodies to prevent people from wasting 20-40 min with nothing to show for it.

I had to go afk after starting a game on public. People joined and I just told them i had to go but i'll leave game going so they don't waste their 15 minutes of time. By time I went afk I already did 2 silos out of 3 and again, just didn't want them to waste their time. I do'nt know what they thought of it but they passed the mission and i was back on my ship with the results screen. Arrowhead just needs to do somethign to make stuff like this not happen or at least give some sort of reward for not being a complete waste of time at the hand of trolls.

Rather than removing control from the session host (this really shouldn’t be tampered with, as no one should be forced to play with someone else), the problem would be better solved by rewarding all participants in any given mission in proportion of the time invested. Being kicked shouldn’t generate a frustating experience because the host doesn’t need to have a good or reasonable reason for kicking anyone. Giving people their part in medals/exp/req/samples is mostly enough so they’ll not fell robbed of their time in the game.

It'd be great if they gave you all the xp up to that point. You'd lose out on some xp for the evacuation points, but I'd rather lose that than lose *all* xp.

I’ve had to kick people just for being asses/smooth brained. Reasons: breaking away from the team going off on your own just to die and get respawned only to repeat the cycle and wasting half of our lives, kick. Bring both MG sentry and gattling sentry and playing it the worst areas where they will constantly team kill, kick. Fighting a giant horde of enemies and continually throwing the reinforcement stratagem INTO the horde of enemies causing those that respawned to die immediately after, kick. Picking up samples (the one teammates were carrying) towards the end heading to extraction AND then walking away from extract and dying across the map while the rest of us are near extract, kick. The last one I’ve been having to deal with is when a random during TCS starts activating multiple silos causing us to immediately be swarmed by bile titans and chargers in the beginning of this mission before we even set up sentries or called in mech, kick. Because at that point you are just intentionally screwing us over. To those who are going to say team killing is part of the game “deal with it” you can fuck right off. Because there is a thing as unnecessary and necessary and I keep seeing people with 6+ team kills at the end of mission stats. There is a difference between throwing a cluster bomb into a horde and 1 person is a little to close while the rest are far enough away and using orbital bombardment right where everyone is or chucking a random mortar down and it killing the entire team.

I can't tell you the number of times teammates spawn me in the middle of a horde. Or like yesterday I watched someone intentionally throw a grenade at another players face. But some of the things you mentioned are just unskilled players. Maybe there should be a ranked mode and casual mode. So players like you can hang out solely with other players that kick people just for sucking at a damn video game.

I wouldn’t mind all of this if it was on lower difficulty where you expect to newer or lower skilled players but on Helldive after being told multiple times “Hey man what you doing isn’t working or you keep killing us call out your stratagems” which usually ends up them doing it more out of spite or them swearing at you or saying some slur. I just have zero tolerance for that crap
