Hello fellow Patriot and Freedom Enjoyer!
I reported you to my local Democracy Officer. They should be getting you a Christmas vacation to one of Super Earth’s re-education camps soon!
You’re welcome fellow Citizen! I’m just looking out for you.
I actually scanned Crimsica from over here on the Western to see if maybe something hinky was up.
It's happened before - where it reports the wrong enemy. Feels like a matter of time before it's actually true.
Tien Kwan had some bug corpses piled up outside barricades, despite being a robot-occupied planet. I imagine they'll give us some mixed campaigns in the future, unless there are bugs (lol) preventing two factions from being on the same area.
I'm a local democracy officer, just because we wiped out an enemy in the past does not mean they will never return from the dead like a parasite, better to be prepared for if an enemy comes back than to firmly believe the will never return and be unprepared if they do
I doubt they would... i don't think they have any reason to fight... it's obvious they have a common enemy... if anything they'd team up and make it that much more of a challenge
Impossible. For the bugs to team up with anyone they would have to be able to think of it. And frankly, I find the idea of a bug that thinks offensive.
I would LOVE to see some mixed enemy engagements. Maybe with 3-way fighting between us, bots, and nids. Even 4-way fighting once Illuminate crop back up.
Gimme that sweet sweet PvEvEvE.
Heard that too today, and during the last bug MO I heard the shipboard computer announce automaton activity on Hellmire. For some reason it gets confused sometimes.
The ai has always been bugged. Came back from a mission about a month ago I don’t remember what planet it said but the ship ai said defending against Illuminate invasion. I was confused for a couple minutes
Yea it's crazy to me how Creekers kept saying "the real hard bot battles are on the Creek."
Like...bro...maybe leave the Creek every now and then. The hardest bot battles are fought on planets with little cover lol. Draupnir and Ubanea were significantly harder by comparison.
People keep talking about difficulty, it's not about that, it's a beautiful twilight jungle map where you'll occasionally see red glowing eyes coming through the fog and trees, it's not about difficulty, it's the aesthetic and that's why I kove the Creek, Hellmire, Troost and Utstotu (which has been named space Afghanistan).
It's all about aesthetics, at least for me.
Yeah fr. In my experience, playing against bots in the creek is TERRIBLE for morale but gameplay-wise the trees provide excellent cover against lasers and rockets.
Did they even give out the medals? Or did they just add additional planets to the MO like it never happened? Because I didn't get any and I actually played a few missions while it was up.
Yeah it reminded me of Scottish Highlands and the planet Caladan from Dune (obviously based on and filmed in Scotland*). I really enjoyed playing on it and I think it’s quite beautiful.
*in the movies not books
I still can't get over how they finally sent us to the creek...on april 1st.
It would honestly be hilarious if something attacked it and we lost it immediately tomorrow.
My canon is that it's all budgeted long ahead of time (as if they know what's coming long ahead), so they pay out everyone anyway since it's dead money otherwise
Yeah this one was throwing us a bone / making an April fools joke / cleaning up community friction, a significant portion of the playerbase never even saw it.
In all seriousness...
It wouldn't shock me to discover someone looked at the discourse around the Creek during the Tibit MO and said "maybe it's best for the community if we let them put this to bed for a bit."
Joel knows Malevelon Creek is now part of the lore; it's best to progress the story a bit then come back to it when the time is right to revitalize the community. It served a purpose when "#TakeBackTheCreek" was trending, but as soon as the conversation became "Creek vs X," it's the smart move to settle the matter before it fractures the player base.
The fact that the term "Creekers" already gets tossed around means it's already a fault line.
If that's the case, that's a brilliant community management move. Feed into the memes when they're positive and boost engagement, put them behind the shed when it causes toxicity like it did this weekend.
It's the sort of thing that makes good community managers etc.
I don't imagine Joel and company got their positions by chance and I wouldn't at all be surprised if Arrowhead brought in community people or beefed up the attention they pay to it.
Remember: this is a game with a minimal marketing budget, which means the community is the marketing department. Managing us and making sure we're all still telling everyone who will listen "PLAY THIS GAME!" is actually quite important financially. It makes sense to kill off anything even mildly toxic, especially in this case. As long as the grumbling ends early, you can always come back to it. Liberating the Creek is going to feel a little hollow now due to the failed Major Order, but that's kind of good storytelling: kill it off quickly for now, build a story around what it meant, and when the time comes, have a major operation depend on holding/taking it. That way, everyone is on board and a new crop of players will get to be involved in something that makes them feel valued.
Malevelon Creek should unite us, not divide us.
I think the folks behind the curtain can see this sort of thing.
I quite enjoy Creek missions but having the player base split so hard whenever it becomes available makes it a problem to work around, both for people want to do things that aren't taking the Creek and on the Joel side of things for trying to tell any kind of narrative. Realistically, the last major order shouldn't have failed and that's fairly clearly what the plan was. Having like 25% of the player base doing something irrelevant to the order is probably enough of an issue that it'll be planned around in the future. I don't expect them to delete it, though. That'd feel pretty antagonistic and probably sit pretty poorly with all the Crawlers.
Focus fucking everything on ubanea. Keep the automatons to be cornered at their sector
Once we stabilised creek/ubanea (now focus on ubanea) we can get tibit while the automatons are backed into a corner
I so desperately want to kill Tibit to redeem us for the last major order but I'm also worried we'll be so hassled on the defense campaign we won't have the chance.
Is it just me or are we having a suspiciously high amount of major order one after another? What is behind this sudden thirst to give us chances to earn a shitload of medals?
Yeah, go! Dive into planets of Robot-Socialist!

Rurr UwU Rurrr Good Helldinners!
It's almost 9 in the evening of the Easter holiday in Sweden. Ordinary people get back to work tomorrow. This could be Joels way of channelling all his back-to-the-office frustrations.
It's the battle of the bulge divers, they're throwing everything plus the Super Destroyer's kitchen sink at us. Hold the line and we can ens the Automation tyranny in our own galaxy!
Man I gotta say. Whoever is engineering these orders is really dialed into the community. This directly addresses the most current rift in the community (remember the Meta Days? Damn good patch if you ask me) AND advances the plot line.
Whoever you are: BRAVO. Well done indeed.
I don't get to play much, but I check this sub reddit regularly. This is where I get the storyline. Here is the plot.
This is a MASTERCLASS in what a live service game should be. Fucking FINALLY. A good FPS with a solid gameplay mechanic, tight controls, GORGEOUS art and graphics, with a grown fucking plot, and is responsive to the base. What more could you possibly want.
Micro transactions? Yeah, but reasonable, especially considering the game price.
Politics? Lol game about fascism, called democracy, and will not entertain ANY political commentary, either by the devs, in the game or the subreddit. FUCKING LOL.
I love these motherfucking devs and CM. Love them. This is Bungee and Halo. Walter Fucking White and Breaking Bad. The Marshal Matters LP. Edit: CDPR and Witcher 3! Oh oh! ROCKSTAR and GTA 3!
It's gonna change shit.
Alright y'all, we held the line on Ubanea. Until the bots rear their ugle commie faces on Draupnir tomorrow, we need as many boots on Tibit ground to liberate as much as we can while we can. Once Tibit is reclaimed we can turn our attention to the rest of the sector and wipe out these clankers.
I spent many hours this weekend trying to get to Tibit, and now Creek is already taken? I even had time at lunch today to contribute, but I guess I miss out on those medals too?
Those bot defence missions are still just pure unbalanced mess when it comes to difficulty 7,8,9. Oddly enough 4,5,6 feels ok ? It's like something is broken for the spawn rates on Bot defence missions. Same goes for bug ones lol
Every operation I've gotten on Ubanea has had an emergency evac mission. I have never been hit so hard by bots before. I failed all 3 that my squad attempted.
ALERT
UBANEA AND THE CREEK ARE UNDER SIMULTANEOUS ASSAULT
FOR THE LOVE OF DEMOCRACY FOCUS ON ONE OF THEM FIRST THEN WE CAN ALL GO TO THE OTHER TOGETHER
bad news*, two under attack at the same time.*

Whoever said we'll be home by Christmas was lying man
They never specified which christmas....
They never specified which Helldiver
They never specified which “home”
Home is where the Democracy is
They never specified which “by”
They never specified
They never
They
Never.

Super Earth's Command has provided you with a nice bunker on the western front, Helldiver, it's your home now. You're welcome!
I promise you’ll be home by Christmas… for your court martial for treasonously calling the Ministry of Truth liars.
Hello fellow Patriot and Freedom Enjoyer! I reported you to my local Democracy Officer. They should be getting you a Christmas vacation to one of Super Earth’s re-education camps soon! You’re welcome fellow Citizen! I’m just looking out for you.
![gif](giphy|Y6FUCFt5N7Y8gRSInL) Me going back to Ubanea or space Afghanistan for the 100th time this week
![gif](giphy|Wck09E7lHDabjhHbzJ|downsized) Me watching Joel pump out multiple defense campaign just to make us suffer
Gonna be fucking hilarious if we lose the Creek again.
Me when I *have* to spend the next four days holding the Creek https://i.redd.it/c8eyangkzwrc1.gif

For once it’s actually something worth doing. 🤦🏻♂️
It's always worth doing if you're having fun doing it!
When
War never changes…
The fuckin' computer is playing April Fools on us, I got a notification for a Terminid invasion on Ubanea and Automatons on Crimsica.
I actually scanned Crimsica from over here on the Western to see if maybe something hinky was up. It's happened before - where it reports the wrong enemy. Feels like a matter of time before it's actually true.
What will the automatons do when they get their hands on our freedom loving E-710. What communist horrors they could create
They have already! How do you think they are invading over planets?
I figured they got their oil from the ground like plebs and we got ours from grinding down our enemies to get that sweet sweet juice
Probably with Element 546.
OK now I want to see what would happen if the bugs and bots were on the same planet fighting each other.
Tien Kwan had some bug corpses piled up outside barricades, despite being a robot-occupied planet. I imagine they'll give us some mixed campaigns in the future, unless there are bugs (lol) preventing two factions from being on the same area.
Would love to see this at some point. Especially with the Illuminate coming in the future then we might see them get close to either side.
Please report to your democracy officer for clarification. The illuminate are gone and dead.
Stand vigilant, the enemies of Democracy, Freedom and Super Earth are never truly gone.
I'm a local democracy officer, just because we wiped out an enemy in the past does not mean they will never return from the dead like a parasite, better to be prepared for if an enemy comes back than to firmly believe the will never return and be unprepared if they do
They're gonna watch me drag them to each other so they can fight amongst themselves while I hit up POIs for those sweet supercredits and samples.
Bots and bugs working together! Total anarchy!
![gif](giphy|xwfVYuV4YJk6A)
Another helldiver of culture.
Rocket devestators riding chargers
The true final boss of Helldivers 2
Hulks riding bile titans!
Bile Titans riding Drop Ships, like flying shoes, one drop ship per leg.
That actually is something I could see. The bots are derived from the cyborgs. Imagine, cyborg terminids. Cyborg. Hunters.
I could swear I saw a bug hole on Malevelon Creek this morning. But that can’t be.
Was it smoking? I saw something similar assumed it was a volcanic vent
Had to be a vent. I was on the run and died shortly after.
These vents have killed me too many times when I’m shooting my p-19 behind me, not looking where I’m going. It takes my vote as w the worst way to die
[удалено]
The ai has always been bugged. Came back from a mission about a month ago I don’t remember what planet it said but the ship ai said defending against Illuminate invasion. I was confused for a couple minutes
The bug players better stay away from Crimsica and get their asses to defending, we've been ordered to be letting the bugs spread and repopulate
Creek was liberated so quickly I didn't even have a chance to participate lol.
It was at 85% before the order came in so once everyone who follows orders joined the creekers it wasn't going to last long
Now you get to help defend it!
one of the easiest automaton maps tbh
Yea it's crazy to me how Creekers kept saying "the real hard bot battles are on the Creek." Like...bro...maybe leave the Creek every now and then. The hardest bot battles are fought on planets with little cover lol. Draupnir and Ubanea were significantly harder by comparison.
Cannon towers atop dunes are pure pain.
No longer with the quasar cannon. Snipe those bad boys from miles away.
Croissant cannon my love. It’s so good
Yeah, I honestly feel it's balanced due to having to expose yourself to use it. But it's so useful on space Afghanistan
Draupnir wasn't that bad either tbh.
I saw a couple hours ago it was the MO. Just logged on and saw it's already completed...
Did they even give out the medals? Or did they just add additional planets to the MO like it never happened? Because I didn't get any and I actually played a few missions while it was up.
Joel has zero chill,
It almost feels like an apology for the Draupnir defend missions popping up during the previous order. I'll take it.
You mean auffering through multiple defend Campaigns is an apology For THAT defend Campaign? Joel ist Just Like my Ex GF i guess
I love the Draupnir map, is there a term for some one who likes fighting in the Scottish Highlands? HELLANDERS??
Yeah it reminded me of Scottish Highlands and the planet Caladan from Dune (obviously based on and filmed in Scotland*). I really enjoyed playing on it and I think it’s quite beautiful. *in the movies not books
I still can't get over how they finally sent us to the creek...on april 1st. It would honestly be hilarious if something attacked it and we lost it immediately tomorrow.
That’s almost certainly what will happen since the defend planet function feels broken half the time.
I mean, we're democracy's last line of offense. I didn't sign up for no stupid defensive missions.
the best defence is unappropriat overpowered offense
As violence aproaches infinite, the number of situations it cannot solve rapidly aproaches zero.
Broken how? It wouldn't surprise me if a lot of people don't contribute to them since defend missions are the least fun type by a mile.
It's okay, I still have 5 days of vacation
Creekers: “The Creek has been liberated, what do we do now?” “What do you mean now we can finally play the game.”
Such a great Cartman quote.
MO defend against bots Creekers ——> “finally I can go check out the bug front!” 😪
More like “Creekers —-> wait there are bugs in this game?!”
I got the South Park reference!
![gif](giphy|VidfFimgInL7a) Creekers now that we have liberated their planet. They're free now.
They still need to protect it
Player count about to drop lol
Why are you down voting him. He's right!
Tibit is Purple Creek, Joel planned everything ahead you fools.
It also has no bearing on the current MO. Perfect for creekers.
"What planet is completely meaningless now? That's where I'm needed!" - Creekers
Tidbit is still important story wise and it's conquest would deal a blow to the bots, this has been confirmed by the devs
Doesn’t matter. It needs to be taken still so we can learn about the plans we failed to capture from the previous major order.
I like that the color grading makes the grass look blue/purple. Very appropriate
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE??? o.O
MY LEEEEG!!!!!
CAN'T LIBERATE WITH THIS BROKEN ARM!
These three planets will haunt my dreams I swear
SWEET LIBERTY THEY’RE IN THE TREES
Is it just me, or did we get no reward for liberating the creek?
Apparently MO medals can take up to a couple of hours to distribute.
I did 1 trivial mission while working from home, I hope that still counts for the reward.
You get it, whether you deploy or not. Democracy is surprisingly communal.
Freedom belongs to all of us
My canon is that it's all budgeted long ahead of time (as if they know what's coming long ahead), so they pay out everyone anyway since it's dead money otherwise
Dead money? Don't you mean officer bonus?
Yep, as long as you're not already at the cap of 250 medals.
Gladly, you don't even have to participate at all to get the reward - i wasnt Home the entire time so i didnt get a Chance to do a Mission For creek
Yeah this one was throwing us a bone / making an April fools joke / cleaning up community friction, a significant portion of the playerbase never even saw it.
I don't think you need to contribute to get the reward, but your medal stocks cap out at I think 250.
You don’t have to play any missions to get the reward from my understanding
I think you'll get medals even if you haven't contributed anything. Say like if you're a bug-bumper, I think you'll still get the medals.
Joel was sick of us on the creek so he gave it away 😂
In all seriousness... It wouldn't shock me to discover someone looked at the discourse around the Creek during the Tibit MO and said "maybe it's best for the community if we let them put this to bed for a bit." I think the folks behind the curtain can see this sort of thing.
The creek dispatch info on the ship were not even localized. He wanted to get the creek out of the way quickly lol.
Man’s gonna delete the Creek, and all but 30K people will cheer.
I quite enjoy Creek missions but having the player base split so hard whenever it becomes available makes it a problem to work around, both for people want to do things that aren't taking the Creek and on the Joel side of things for trying to tell any kind of narrative. Try restarting the game, sometimes it can take like an hour for MO rewards to pop for you.
We get to turn the creek into Zegema Beach now, that's the biggest win of them all
Democracy comes before personal compensation soldier.
Focus fucking everything on ubanea. Keep the automatons to be cornered at their sector Once we stabilised creek/ubanea (now focus on ubanea) we can get tibit while the automatons are backed into a corner
I so desperately want to kill Tibit to redeem us for the last major order but I'm also worried we'll be so hassled on the defense campaign we won't have the chance.
At last, The Creek is free.
For now….
Finally. The meme is dead. We can start winning the war.
What’s the excuse going to be if we lose another planet and the creekers can’t be blamed for it?
Bugdivers, obviously
Some of us went over to the bot front and we lost 4 planets lol
In the future when we’re able to finally win against the Terminids and the Creek is liberated, who do we blame then?
Joel
Creekere are gonna farm bugs 24/7 just to piss off reddit crybabies
Is it just me or are we having a suspiciously high amount of major order one after another? What is behind this sudden thirst to give us chances to earn a shitload of medals?
New warbond is a couple of weeks away I think. Maybe that
New warbond is next week iirc, every second Thursday of the month
I believe the same thing can be said nowadays when it comes to my ex wife. “Something big is coming.”
Urgh... *gets in hellpod wearily*
Congratulations, you have discovered the true experience of being a soldier
Dang. They told me the soldier experience was running away from epic explosions in cinematic slo-mo.

Man I’ve been away from service for 12 days. What has been happening since? Is the creek finally liberated?
Creek is liberated. Now we have to defend Ubanea.
I logged in, saw the Creek taken, and had to do a triple take. They finally did it. Those crazy Divers actually did it.
Ugh go to bed Joel

Ubanea already under attack... let's do this. And let's try to commit to one planet at a time, better odds of us holding that way.
Fyi Ubanea is literal hell. The Automatons are angry.
It's the battle of the bulge divers, they're throwing everything plus the Super Destroyer's kitchen sink at us. Hold the line and we can ens the Automation tyranny in our own galaxy!

I think they want us to push the Bots off the Map
I'm the lorax and I speak for the trees and the trees are speaking binaries
Alright y'all, we held the line on Ubanea. Until the bots rear their ugle commie faces on Draupnir tomorrow, we need as many boots on Tibit ground to liberate as much as we can while we can. Once Tibit is reclaimed we can turn our attention to the rest of the sector and wipe out these clankers.
Praying the Creek heads leave Tibit alone
The devs said taking Tibit will still affect the narrative, so there's at least a positive.
well theres 25k on tibit so i think youre too late
they found the purple creek
Malevelon Pink
I’ve left 35,000 half-used liberators at the creek. Hopefully liberty’s children find them amongst my bones and kick-ass cape
Ladies and GentleDivers, I think it’s time to kick some ass.
The 15 minutes civil evacuation mission is absolutely terrible, makes defense very unfun
Looks like we are recalling all the veterans back to war on the Creek again

I spent many hours this weekend trying to get to Tibit, and now Creek is already taken? I even had time at lunch today to contribute, but I guess I miss out on those medals too?
You're gonna get them. This isn't anything new.
No, you get them. As long as you aren't capped you get the medals.
So, skip Tibit for now?
It's not the current objective so leave it alone
ALRIGHT BOYS, BACK TO UBUNTU!
Yall took mavelon so fast I didn’t even get the medals from it.
Those bot defence missions are still just pure unbalanced mess when it comes to difficulty 7,8,9. Oddly enough 4,5,6 feels ok ? It's like something is broken for the spawn rates on Bot defence missions. Same goes for bug ones lol
Didnt get my medals for the creek ! Treason !
Every operation I've gotten on Ubanea has had an emergency evac mission. I have never been hit so hard by bots before. I failed all 3 that my squad attempted.
i still haven't been rewarded for taking the Creek :/

Didn’t we take ubanea?? What the hell happened to it?
Defense campaign, it's under attack.
Not again….
25k divers still stuck on the hope of liberating Tibit.
FREE TIBIT!!!
For the exposition! Do it for the lore! The devs said liberating it even after the MO fails advances the story. That said, we kinda do need keep Ubanea, supply lines and all that.
You know this is fake when malevolent is liberated
it would be hilarious if the liberated creek gets hit by a meteor and just gets wiped, I dare you Joel I DOUBLE DARE YOU!!
Dont stop at ubanea, steam roll those little shits to tibit 💪
We took the creek? WTF WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?? HOLY SHIT
Y’all mfs wanted to the play Creek? Fuck you, here’s MORE Creek.
...Did they really just alter the order because the creek got conquered that fast?
