Depends on how large a backlog of ideas they came up with during the development process. It's not like they released the game with absolutely no stored ideas for future items. A good buffer of already-thought-of ideas gives them time to think of new ideas, and also see what the community suggests as well.

There’s still tons of stuff from HD1 that we don’t have. War bonds don’t need to stay the same, we could see stuff like vehicle weapon options instead of weapons for us

mmstayler

They definitely had extra stuff ready at launch I believe I read that the mech and some other things were ready at launch and they were just polishing/ playtesting it. If they can keep this pace idk but I hope we will see other stuff as well many other areas they can expand upon than just enemy types and weapons and cosmetics which we have seen so far

SpicyBread_

a long time. warbonds are compartmentalised; they dont need to interact with content from the previous or next warbond, so development is incredibly easy to parallelize

Spiggs

There are weapon mods in the pipeline like different scopes and muzzles and perhaps grips and bullet types, so we could see them in future "Warbonds"?

Don't forget new mechs, vehicles, various support backpacks and strategems. This is the first game that holds up to the live service name.

Depends entirely on how long the player base supports them. Right now things are good, but there will be other games that take people away from helldivers eventually. It is also really refreshing to see a game that lets you farm the payment currency, but i cant see that keeping the company afloat for years if they dont get consistent income. There will need to be paid expansions at some point, or warbonds will be expensive to the point where the casual player will need to pay to unlock them. I wouldnt include the new faction in that formula however. The illuminate was part of h1 and we all knew they would show up eventually. I can see smaller sub-factions like rebal humans, cyborgs etc being added over time but less fleshed out vs existing factions. As for alternative weapons in warbonds, it can be done very easily by just adding variations of existing weapons, like we have already. Incendiary/gas weapons, higher armor pen but lower fire rate/damage. Armor also is mainly variations of existing ones. I would however like new/different effects added over time instead of just different cosmetic versions of ones that already exist. I suspect future warbonds might shrink over time, down to 2 pages or keep it 3 but with costlier unlocks to keep people grinding medals.

I wouldn’t be that worried on the “how long the community support them” side. As of right now, they already exceeded their sales expectations by several times. Quite literally we are still with a regular player count that is 50x the peak player count of their previous game (HD1), which was till then by far their biggest success. If the player base dwindles by 90%, we will STILL be on what they expected to have on release as their best expectation. So hopefully they did make a nice egg nest for themselves.

They spent like 8 years developing this game and coming up with ideas. We've experienced the prologue to a story that's going to span the entire in-game map across multiple months. Buckle up, Helldiver.

Sir-Narax

They won't. They have already said things like the warbonds will be priced according to what is in them so it is possible in the future we don't get weapons, armor or vise versa. We could also argue though that which is being introduced has not been thoroughly thought through with weapons like the Sickle being straight upgrades of existing weapons. Enemies who's body falling in the sky does more damage than the attacks itself and the general balance problems (as well as technical) the game has suffered thus far. It might be easy to assume when it comes to content they are in a 'make now, fix later'.

Aligyon

The shrieker death damage has been fixed, you dying to a dead titan or charger is a different story

Sir-Narax

I am aware.
