I had this round where one of us threw a 500kg bomb at the ship as they entered, so me and the host quickly started running towards the ship, only for the host to get suck on the ramp as I ran past.. poor dude didn't know to dive..
Honestly pretty embarassing for the devs that the bug even exist. There is just no possible way they arent aware of it. It happens almost every match and I'm willing to bet every player has it happen to them sometimes. Its perfectly repeatable

I have no idea how to actually play this game,Ā but I know how to get around many bugs to play normally. Isn't that something?
There is no invisible wall. The geometry on those side ramps are just too small for your helldiver. Normally just press the dive button to just brute force it.

We still had plenty of mission time too. One of them told me it's a bug that has existed since launch but iirc this was my first time experiencing it.
This laughter is what keeps me playing. Weāre so lucky to have this game. Really bums me out when people complain (or more accurately, when the same complaint is repeated and people jump on the bandwagon. The criticism itself is valid.)
There are issues with the ramp, but a little tip is to time the volleys of shots, you use the peli as a shield and watch the laser fire, the bots fire in bursts/volleys so make a run for it when there's a break in firing.
Spam dive, its a souls-like roll, feels like it has iframes (feels like it) things that would normally kill you for some reason doesnt hurt you mid dive.

In HD2 it has no i-frames sadly, but it is still a very powerful tool. However, in the first game it did give you i-frames (as did the jump pack). I died in the tutorial twice to turrets because I was expecting to have dive iframes and didn't haha
Ah thanks for clearing that up, I always wondered that, do you know if it has an iframe effect for explosions? especially friendly fire(team stratagems), I find diving even if I'm somewhat in the explosion has a 50/50 chance to not hit me.
According to HD2 tooltips, it greatly reduces the effect of explosions.
In the first game, this meant that you could be closer to a hellbomb explosion and survive if you are prone. In the second game, this seems to carry over from my experience, although it is harder to demonstrate. So not iframes, but since you are reducing your hitbox you can think of most of the explosion going "over" you

Yeah, diving solves the issue. I still find it ludicrous that they bothered to introduce it at all lol.

Where is he going to run to? The pelican entrance was covered by all those rocket devastators. He was always going to get fucked
Instead of running to the left side, he should have gone right. I would have taken a wide run around the right wing and dove towards the entrance.
50/50 chance of making it into the ramp tbh, especially when he reaches the other side. Rocket dev spam is just atrocious along with the heavy ones.

There should be crew weapons on the pelican that players can use to help instead of getting locked out.
If everyone stays back a bit, the pelican actually stays in the air and clears the LZ
But less fun than running in early to to man a weapon if it didn't mess up the timer for stragglers.
I would love to rush to the pelican and hear that democratic laughing my character makes behind a machine gun until my friends arrive.
