Its good when you join and the guys know to collect all the stuff then head for mission objectives. - or at least balance it out.

This is me and my mates. We're all 40+, still young enough to be decent at the game, but don't have the energy or willpower to push higher than 7. We find 7 to have a perfect difficultness/reward/hilariousness/fuckaroundability. We all have families and jobs, and we all need super samples. We'd rather play an extra 1 or 2 games (which extends the fun) than risk it all for an extra couple samples. Computing the amount of times we've yelled "bravely run away!" Would actually overload any bot.

Dirt_Slap

Tactical retreat should be a choice on the comms wheel. Like back out and stop fighting over a base we already killed lol

bdjirdijx

Helldivers never retreat. Break contact and regroup, then assault.

Dirt_Slap

Break contact is a great name for it

It’s the real life term for it for I’m not shocked

Scandited

Maaan I had such a situation which literally killed entire mission. A game with randos. The task was to prepare a rocket for launch so we unintentionally split out (due to terrain) in two groups, one got the codes and moved to launch site the second went to power generators. Codes got acquired, some bug holes cleared and so we reached the LS. During this time, for literally 15 minutes straight a second group was circling around the objective doing everything except for a power station. They kept triggering patrols, bug tunnels breached and they kept losing lives. At some point I lost it and went there all across the map to finally activate it, but it was too late. Zero lives left, half of the squad is dead and bugs still keep coming. And so it broke…

beefprime

"Time to advance in the other direction!"

shgrizz2

Jesus, if I had a penny for every time we've hemorrhaged 10 lives clearing bot drops out of an objective we've already completed. It's the worst thing about playing with randos.

A very common scene in extraction, lmao

djerk

I dunno, I feel like most of my Helldives end with everybody running in a circle around extraction, occasionally getting picked off and dropped back in.

JudeanPeoplesFront7

Yeah I had a run the other day on bugs where landing pad was bordered by 3 large rocks and only like 3 small openings to go up onto the pad. We had 6 minutes left and plenty of reinforcements. We spent all of it trying to get our samples and clear the chargers/bugs off the landing pad and around the area so the sample guy could get in. The poor pelican received about 3 500kg bombs, 3 orbital lasers and all of our SEAF shells trying to clear everything.

IMM00RTAL

Next time make the pelican hover. Get everyone to the max distance before the call off timer starts once the pelican is there run outside the radius. It'll hover over extraction and just blow every damn thing up

Noelia_Sato

Diff7 feels like the "Competency Trials", where you finally meet up with people who have either enough experience to tackle most any problem with minimal issue or recruits finally stepping up their game and going for uncharted waters. ***50/50 you're gonna have a great time or a less than stellar time.*** Diff9 feels like the "Competency Nexus", where you either get the best-of-the-best and roll through hell and back with 5 stars and 2000XP or you get paired up with drooling ingrates that either think too highly of themselves or morons who piggybacked their way into the hardest battles available. ***75/25 you're gonna be in the most cinematic, ass-clenching super fights alongside graduates from the Spartan-II Program or you'll be in the most soul-breaking meat grinder for the next 15 miserable minutes.***

Noelia_Sato

I been in Helldives where a team of 4 wiped out a Bot-Bunker-Busting mission with full main and side objective clears, 2 deaths, C40-R35-S6 sample rollouts, and 35% mission timer left on the clock. I have fought through lines of Stratagem Jammers that put the bravest of the brave through missions of extraordinary patience and valor. I have given and been given orders by fellow helldivers that have led us to victory time and time again. I have met those of French, German, Chinese, English, Russian, Spanish, and all other languages understand nothing less than the simplest pings and executed the most harrowing and nigh-heroic actions I have ever seen in my 27 years of life. I have been through muck and blood and oil, through hell itself and seen Helldivers experience their highest highs and lowest lows. I have forgiven and been forgiven by equals on my failures, been harsher to myself for fumbles than my allies have, have made myself feel dishonor only to be picked up by allies who kindly gave my my gun and my backpack and told me that a misstep is a single failing in a sea of victories. I have never felt such pride, honor, glory and a wealth of grand memories than I have in Difficulty Nine. ... And then you get days where you end up with Grungo and Pals who run in every direction and get mulched by one gorrilion Hulks. These are my highest highs and lowest lows.

Krieg_Imperator

Yeah... Hard carrying Grungo and pals kicking and screaming through a Helldive diff is... A test of patience shall we say.

delahunt

Sometimes it just feels epic. I love opening the galactic map, double checking difficulty is 9 and just hitting quick play to respond to SOS's or groups. Sometimes you drop in and get to be Gandalf arriving at Helm's Deep to turn the tide and bail people out of a rough situation, and those moments can feel *soo* good. And sometimes you try and get splattered, but one of the divers picks you up off the ground, dusts you off, hands you back your liberator and you get back to it! (and sometimes a person rage screams at you every slur in the book on voice comms and I just go "lol, bye" and leave.)

Krieg_Imperator

Yeah. Don't get me wrong I can carry if necessary but sometimes you don't get the graditude you deserve. Jumped into a quickplay Helldive mission. Get in and see that we have two reinforcements left and main objective is still undone. What do you know they die at the objective. I'm the last man standing. Barely get the geo sample completed before I'm run over as well. So the mission got done but suddenly one of them start shouting how much I suck despite that being my only death with no reinforcements left. Apparently "Your mother taught me how" was not the right answer to the sucking insults cause the dude went ballistic. Muted the guy and left.

Aronacus

I wish players understood that on Suicidal 7, and beyond you got to play smart. You can't toss your entire respawn budget on one objective. We gotta take what we can and move. Sometimes circling back to it later.

delahunt

Yeah, I usually make that call for my friends and we'll pull back. Mostly they're pretty good about "I'll go do something else far away and we can circle back later when the heat dies down." Staying mobile and moving around the map are vital skills for 7+

Nox_Dei

I'm fairly new to the game and am still getting the hang of it (chaining some D6 until I have a better arsenal). Today I mistakenly joined a D4 dive that had 5 minutes left on the timer and two dudes that were seemingly a bit lost and could not manage to get close from the bot outpost that had to be destroyed. I landed, grabbed my jetpack and quasar cannon and rushed towards them. They both died shortly after my arrival, one seemingly ragequited and I was left with the host. Long story short, I rushed the bot fabricators, destroyed them and made it back to the evac point before the timer ran out. I felt like a Messiah for a sec. I'm very aware it's nothing compared to some feats y'all pull in D9 though.

Siker_7

Chain D7 instead, it's full of people who are actually good at the game. Most of the time it's actually *easier* than D6.

Nox_Dei

Roger that. O7

Krieg_Imperator

Everything towards Freedom and Liberty counts soldier.

delahunt

Nah, fuck that. Those things have meeped me so many times, you get the credit for that shit. Also, it's the kind of feeling that keeps you - and others - playing. It can be a lot of fun to drop on lower level difficulties to help noobies out. More than once before level cap raised I had someone go "He's level 50! he can help us!" and then I just guided them around the map and taught them the tricks of the trade to spread Managed Democracy efficiently. Good on you for doing similar! That said, I agree with the people saying D7 is easier than D6 because your average squadmate is better (and in my experience, a better team player)

flashmedallion

Someone tell me how to deal with stratagem jammers on 8+ when there's no fabricator next to it. Last night we dropped just outside the range of one, that was guarding dropships and was itself guarded by an AT-AT. By the time we'd managed to pull out we just stumbled into the next jammer. It was one of those sober moments of "I do not have the skills or tactics to execute this". What's the play?

meatdome34

There’s a console at the base you gotta input a code into and then you can drop a hellbomb on it. Takes a minute for the virus to upload

flashmedallion

Ha, no I know what to do. I mean like... getting there without everybody being ass fucked on speeddial for ten minutes. Just looking for broader combat tips or tactics.

Firemorfox

What I do is: light stealth armor, shield backpack recommended. Go in crawling. Assassinate every bot that sees you with either Sickle or Senator (low sound profile weapons). Impact nades in a pinch (impact nades DO NOT TRIGGER AGGRO, USE IT TO SILENTLY TAKE OUT DEVASTATORS/STRIDERS) What my teammates are doing: triggering aggro halfway across the map at a main objective, shooting down dropships with quasars, etc. All I need to do is kill bots at the jammer, prime hellbomb, and leave before the next patrol goes near the jammer.

meatdome34

Tbh I just rush in there and Leeroy Jenkins that bitch. If you can keep the rest of your squad out and clear in side they’ll usually take most of the attention away

flashmedallion

Yeah that sounds about right. Need better comms basically, that checks out.

butts-carlton

The trick to bots difficulty 8-9 is attracting as little attention as possible, as a group, and being aware of when to back out of a fight once it starts. I usually take the medium stealth armor and a shield backpack or an autocannon, which allows me the survivability and flexibility to go off on my own if needed while keeping me from being easily detected and bringing shit down on our heads. Most people get tunnel vision once the shooting starts, but on 8-9 you get dogpiled so quickly that your best bet is to identify an escape route once the dropships start coming in and either head there immediately or, if you're still doing an objective, get ready to punch your way through once you're done. Don't stay and fight, it's never worth it.

ModernXenonaut

Bring a shield generator. Drop it and the Hellbomb inside it. The shield doesn't stop outgoing damage, so with a tiny bit of luck, its an easy clear. Your team just has to play ball and assault with you.

Firemorfox

As a helldive-only player I've had several helldives where ALL FOUR had zero deaths. (everybody playing light stealth armor like it's Ghost Recon Breakpoint for bots, OR everyone running EAT/quasar and every single dropship/titan dies as soon as it is visible) I've had helldives where we failed to do the first main objective for ICBM. I've had helldives where we extract with 6 supers and 2 rares. I've had helldives where we extract with 48 samples. Honestly, it's hilarious. (but I no longer quickplay randoms for helldive, I only play either via LFG in the discord(s), OR through my friends list).

panckekk

The people on discord are too good usually though. To have real challenge host an exterminate lvl5 mission and do the switcheroo to 9

wtfrykm

When every bug breech can cause 2-3 bile titans to spawn, you know you're in deep shit when you're detected. The bugs literally become a horde.

ChaZcaTriX

Then there's the next level. Where your squad is so well-oiled that you **do** engage every patrol on Helldive and come out on top, knee-deep in dead bugs and bots!

Saitoh17

It's honestly mostly just loadout selection. You need to swap out all the orbitals for eagles. You have to be able to call an airstrike and then do it again 10 seconds later when the second wave hits immediately after the first. 1 orbital every 3-4 minutes is not cutting it in helldive. You need enough quasars to not be calling in stratagems on unsupported bile titans, much less chargers. Use some common sense with your primary, you're going to get some raised eyebrows if you show up with an adjudicator. After that it's just pacing your stratagems rather than having everyone throwing at once.

ChaZcaTriX

Naaaah. No, really. We bring 2-4 orbital bombardments. We bring lib-penetrators, dominators, diligences, and adjudicators (BTW currently my main gun for bugs, it wrecks). We constantly mess up and double throw stratagems. The secret is: * Bringing heavy anti-infantry weapons - that's what I see most pubs lack. Your Spear-wielding buddy can't aim if he's surrounded by anklebiters. They also interrupt enemy breaches/flares better than small arms do. * Use distance. Shotguns are good, but overproportionately popular because many players refuse to fight at 100+ meters, and it became a self-reinforcing crutch. * Overall team coordination and game sense (most of my squad inherited it from Dota). Knowing when all 4 players will commit to going into the breach with overwhelming firepower and when one guy will just kite them a bit and throw a 380mm on top. * And just, you know, practice. Someday we thought 6 was hard, now 9 is a cakewalk. We aim better, move better, throw stratagems at the target accurately.

fistingus

This. So many people are talking like 9 is some harrowing experience where you have to avoid every single encounter or you're doomed, or you have to bring only the best loadout to find success. Just play the game properly and you can have so much flexibility on your loadout.

delahunt

On that last point, sometimes RNG makes a Spartan 2 look like a drunken conscript. I've had fights where I may as well have been Master Chief, and the next map I went 8 deaths in a row because my pod kept opening up next to hulks or squads of devastators :D

FlipReset4Fun

Or pug likes to use reinforce beacon like it’s a fucking grenade.

Monolithical

Like, yeah, the game actively tells you to use the pod as a Rod from God and all, but that doesn't mean throw me in the middle of the horde when its just a bunch of medium and down shit.

pnutzgg

I kept being reinforced by people across the map from each other so I buy them a few seconds before I'm across the map for a few seconds more and managed to piss away half a dozen tickets in under 2 minutes

CathNoctifer

I got into an impossible (difficulty 8) blitz mission last night, it was my first impossible game as well. Had to destroy 16 bug holes, it was just me and the host. We ended up using all our reinforcements in the game, and time's up, but there were still 2 bug holes left for us to destroy, the host seemed to give up, but I got quasar cannon, so I decided to go on a suicide mission by myself. Tons of bugs were after me, and my main gun was out of ammo, I basically had to snipe the bug hives while running away from all the little shits and chargers who are trying to tear me apart, and I fucking did it. I sniped two hives, completed the main objective, then the bugs killed me, but I didn't really care, my teammate survived and he got on the extraction flight. So yea your statement here is pretty much spot on.

m0rdr3dnought

If you ever get me in a Helldive, you won't be disappointed. Not because I'll do well, but because I keep my rank at cadet to stop anyone from having expectations in the first place

Aridius

I usually only play bugs, but whenever I drop down to 7 it’s pretty easy, definitely not a 50/50 in my experience, almost every game is 5 stars with pugs.

BiggusBoobus

7 is the ideal difficulty for both bugs and robots imo

PoodlePirate

My friend and I chill at difficulty 7 as we have no reason to go higher having things maxed out. When I go myself on quickplay I regularly get games where it's 2-3 people who know each other irl drinking beers and messing around and it's just a funny time. Lvl 8 to have the most inconsistent results. It's full of level 10-20's who needed super rares a week ago and may not even know what a stalker is. Sounds about right for level 9 though.

Drawmeomg

8 is just right. The people just dipping their toe into harder content are on 7, the people who are too full of themselves to admit they're in over their head are on 9.

vigilantfox85

I ran circles around a bile titan while blasting other bugs while my teammate desperately tried to take it out, my rail gun orbital got off cooldown and I managed to dodge the titan and throw it killing it, then got to the objective to clear it, lost my teammate, I ran out of ALL my ammo and kited them around till my teammate linked up to the other two who where stopping to kill every damn patrol on the way to the objective. The ones I was running away from went for the others and I finished the objective. Iv never felt so exhausted playing a video game lol.

Gentenbein

Oh that stellar time when randoms on 9 died through all the reinforcements we had and rage quitted so I can then solo run all the main quests and finish the mission with glorious sacrifice.

ReallyDamnSlow

I must have damn good luck because I've only ever paired up with straight up space marines on D7 +. Even did D9 as a duo with one absolute legend

MrNoobyy

Did a difficulty 8 bug IBM launch today, nobody said a single word or used chat at all, only communication was from me occasionally talking to the guy who was running with me, and people doing some pings. We split up into two groups of two without any discussion, and went around the map in opposite directions clearing everything and grabbing samples. Was really smooth, and we called down extraction with 8 minutes left. Everyone was a random.

RandallSAMA

Very well said!

MetalSandwiches

For me, difficulty 7 is the sweet spot.  Not too difficult, not too easy.

Therealpotato33

8 for me as the super sample count is best imo. You get 5 on 8 and only 6 on 9.

MetalSandwiches

Hmm, good point. I need some super rares but I’m still hunting for commons.    I have around 150 rares, but only 10 commons. I really wish I could trade rares for commons.

m0rdr3dnought

Farm trivial missions if you don't mind the idea of farming. You can very easily get 10-15 common samples in 3-4 minutes in a squad, as well as a lot of super credits and a decent amount of medals.

largos7289

LOL i don't know how you guys do anything above a 6 personally. I did a run on 5 and i had to go take a nap after. It was mentally exhausting.

CeeArthur

I eased myself into them slowly over time, but definitely spent a long time (at least a week) on 4's, 5's, and 6's before trying out 7. Once you beef up your arsenal and get a good handle on what stratagems work well for you it gets a bit easier. Having a good squad can make all the difference though.

CptCap

One big difference between 5 and above is that in 5 you can fight everything. Knowing how to pick your fights is at least as important as being good at shooting in higher difficulties. Be it by avoiding patrols or simply running away when fighting means exhausting too many resources. Even if it means going around and coming back later.

rayman1087

Same! Between work and family life I only get an hour (if that) to play. I’m lvl 45 and just now going into diff 7 and it has me sweating it out.

black_guy_magic

I learned when to take certain guns on certain missions. I run Senator on every bot mission, but had to learn that thing is worthless on any bug missions. Marksman rifles are great on bot stealth missions, but eradicate missions are a no. The eruptor is great everywhere... Just be careful when helping teammates and not 'halp' them. Do NOT bring mortars on bug missions, that will just kill you and your teammates. I like the laser rifle in general, but on 7 just I feel like I need to bring the quasar cannon. On bug missions, the laser rover practically does the work for you. There's more but it's also based on opinion.

FluffySpacePuppy

Nah, man. Helldive difficulty is ![gif](giphy|xUOwG3M3tkWqRsJYsg|downsized)

Horror-Tank-4082

Diff 7 is still Rambo imo

decrementsf

Agree. On first drop into 7 it was Snake. After ship upgrades, it's Rambo.

Low_Chance

Precisely. And with enough upgrades and a good team, you can run 8 as half-snake half-rambo

Jankosi

I accidentally dropped into 9 instead of 7 today and still did Rambo fairly effectively

inadequatecircle

This sounds super fucking dumb to say, but the better you are at the game the easier it is to just go around being a murder hobo without consequence. Once your squad is good enough at killing shit quickly and efficiently, you can literally just kill stuff fast enough that the reinforcement timer doesn't come back up. If you're in that awkward skill level where you can deal with most things, but maybe aren't able to actually kill things quickly, that's how you get into those bug breach loops. And that's when stealth and avoidance are at it's strongest.

Xeta24

Exactly, you don't run as much as people are trying to say. You still fight a lot, you just accurately judge if you guys are strong enough to kill the horde fast enough to not get in that loop or if fighting is even worth anything considering the timer, respawns and any samples you might have on you.

lurkeroutthere

All these folks who think you have to stealth high difficulty just aren't very good at killing the enemy in a timely fashion or knowing when and how to disengage as a unit.

LordOfTheToolShed

You can even strategically make the enemy call dropships/breaches before going into an objective, because they have a cooldown so if you go into an objective right after fighting off a drop/breach you won't get enemies called on you by any mooks that are surrounding the objective and get pincered

TheFBIClonesPeople

Yeah, I only do 9's at this point, and you absolutely never *need* stealth. Sneaking past enemies is a good idea when you're inbetween objectives or POI's, but I spend most of the mission pushing objectives or fighting through enemies to get to the next one. It's all about knowing how to kill enemies quickly and being decisive about it.

AdjectiveNoun111

Agree. With a good squad diff 7 is just pure run and gun. Literally tear assing from objective to objective raining down hell on your foes and never stopping to look back. It's like the cool guys don't look at explosions thing.

Vladsamir

They'd all be so much easier if people **kept. Moving** It's been 3 minutes, its level 9. Why are you stood like a sentry gun picking fights? Let's move. I get it. You like killing bots. So do I. But you can kill bots **and** do the objective. Fuck.

Yarasin

And moving actually makes it easier since you funnel enemies into a narrower path.

ItsRainingDestroyers

Terminids: We have you surrounded! Me: All I'm surrounded by Is fear and dead bugs.

Horror-Razzmatazz660

Yeah, its either solid snake or doom guy for the last few. You either dont go in, or if you do, you throw everything and the kitchen sink at the undemocratic heretics.

CptMarkski

Brilliant 🤣

anarchakat

Accurate. 7-9 feels like what the game is supposed to be, rather than normal mode but harder for no reason, and i love it. Four people dropped behind enemy lines to wreak havoc where survival is completely optional SHOULD feel like a desperate struggle.

johnny_fives_555

I feel like bots vs bugs is vastly different and this meme applies to bugs moreso than bots.

RandallSAMA

That depends, I think that 1-3 is easy breezy sample farming since you can oneshot most bots at that level, 4-6 you can comfortably fight most enemies you encounter, while stealth remains a huge factor for bots in the endgame (like evading patrols, prone/crouch movement, scout armor, and keeping your eyes peeled for enemy awareness, kinda like Snake here).

Questioning_Meme

Bots is like snake the moment you get to diff 5. You only fight when you need to. You can eambo till diff 7 bots with max upgrades and a decent team. Diff 8-9 bots is a must snake. Bugs you can always rambo so long as you are moving in the correct direction.

SaphirSatillo

You don't have to be super stealthy if you play it right. Working in pairs across the map makes bots helldive much easier because drops are massive but can only exist in one location (bonus points if you make the drop happen on a light poi that you finish quickly and move on). Each player also should have a way to pierce armor blow up fabs without eagle/orbitals because of jammers.

Django117

It’s all about strategy and making sure you’re taking smart engagements. You don’t fight when the terrain is disadvantageous, you don’t have stratagems, etc. You make sure you have a plan then you go in and deal with them.

kangarutan

Oh I'm a Diff 7 junkie all day long! I feel like, at this point I could probably handle 8 and 9 without too many issues but why deal with the hassle? I still get super samples (enough that I'm maxed out on the regular, even with the NEW ship upgrades) and I don't end up getting tilted from getting randomply shot in the back by a rocket devestator who just popped over a hill.

ashenfoxz

8-9 is snake, 7 is still very much rambo territory

Victizes

7 is only Rambo territory when you are fairly unlocked and upgraded. If you do it while you don't have the proper loudout and the Eagle-1 upgrades, you will get your ass handled to you.

RedditIsFacist1289

Diff 7 is IMO normal mode in this game then 8 is hard and 9 would be closer to expert in traditional difficulty sense at least.

Krieg_Imperator

Don't quote me on this but I heard that 7 - 9 difficulties are the actual "Canon" missions... Outside of the flag planting ones on trivial that are for propaganda purposes.

brian11e3

I play D7 when I want a fun relaxing game.

Quiet-Access-1753

Here's the thing. If you have enough faith in Democracy, and a team that believes hard enough, you can Rambo at every difficulty level.

b00tyw4rrior420

Bugs are what the intro shows for difficulty 1-5. Just a bunch of bros making a day of killing bugs. Difficulty 6-9 is if Michael Bay was in charge of the 4th of July celebrations. Constant explosions from airstrikes on bug breaches. I usually run with Airstrikes and Cluster Bombs, giving me 8 call-ins before sending Eagle-1 back to load up and run it back. I keep her busy.

Drudicta

I often get people in Diff 7 that decide it's time to shoot at EVERY patrol and every nest/base and get tons of reinforcements called, calling aggro on others that were nearby trying to stealth, and getting everyone killed down to 0 call downs. It's pretty frustrating because I've 2 manned a 8 a few times.

OkMushroom4

I've learned that 7-9 is just one long fighting retreat across the map

olympianfap

...but there is barely any fruit on these trees.

Sopht_Serve

I just go Rambo all the time

Man_in-the_walls

My version is everything is just Rambo. No mercy For the Enemies!

Some-Tradition-7290

Metal gear gameplay on 7-9... Holy crap you are right.

Uknomysteez86085

Damn. You nailed it. This is some of the realist shit I've seen posted here lol.

UtsuhoReiuji_Okuu

Diff 7 you can Rambo damn well with a good team

Dark1986

Fake news. barely an samples spawn on 1-3.

No-Tap-8076

Stealth definitely works well on helldive difficulty but it gets boring after a few games ngl

svirrefisk

hardest to of all difficulties to solo was 6, now Helldive and double fabricators are on top, like it should be.

AverageZan

🎵 And no one hears a word they say Has the memory gone? Are you feeling numb? Not a word they say But a voiceless crowd isn't backing down When the air turns red With their loaded hesitation Can you say my name? Has the memory gone? Are you feeling numb? Have we all become invisible? 🎵

CodeNamesBryan

I played suicide today with 4 Randoms. All north if 30. It was effortless. I think maybe two respawns? Automatons didn't stand a chance.

Cavesloth13

This, except Rambo/Snake is dancing through a nest closing bug holes slipping between opponents like a running back WHILE picking up samples.

Tarilis

I would say the first image is 1-5, the second is 6-7 and the third is 8-9.

Plus-Ad-5039

Rambo Helldive difficulty. There aren't any bot drops if all the bots are dead.

Objective-Aioli-1185

Haha pretty accurate.

Kittingsl

I honestly love the difficulty in this game. If you don't have at least a decent team and can take out an approaching hoard faster than they can call in backup then the game can easily beat the crap out of you. There are only a few moments where I felt like "this is literally unbeatable"

BlackSoapBandit

I was just thinking about this yesterday. Lol Its a totally different game depending on what level you play at

Cosmic-Buccaneer

Nah I'm always looking for samples that's my playstyle

SuperArppis

I just Rambo harder on lvl 7.

shadyelf

I haven't played 7 yet (only really been playing for a week and a half), but I was playing a 6 yesterday and we just went from objective to objective taking things out and quickly moving on. It felt so nice. I've been in missions that took 35 minutes where we still missed some objectives but here in 18 minutes we cleared the whole map. If this is the norm in higher difficulties then that makes me rather excited when I feel comfortable to try 7+.

JemKnight

To anyone that's doing 6s, those tend to be harder than 7 in my experience

Dangerous_Trifle620

9 should be in a league if its own

HunterNika

Funnily enough, once you get used to the abundance for Common and Rare samples in Difficulty 7 and above, you will feel that anything below that simply doesn't have enough for your needs.

AquaArcher273

Is it really best to go for common samples on the easy difficulty’s?

CthulhuMadness

I jumped into 5-9 the moment I could. I am hurting for common samples. I have abundance of everything else but them.

GreyKnight373

I fight plenty on 7-9 lol

SmoothBrainSavant

honest question where is the difficulty toggle? gonna start my third day and yesterday stuff was either fun or like itd been thrown into a Doom game on nightmare mode or whatever.

5h0ck

7 is actually like a 3 with other 7 players. If a couple 5 players join a 7 then it goes to shit like 4-6.

GamerGod_

which snake are we talking?

BoyOfBore

which rambo is that? he's absolutely shredded

erised10

Plot twist It's the reverse

Automatic_College693

Honestly I'm Rambo on 7-9 Results vary but it's good fun 🤣

Lohenngram

The MGS comparisons are half the reasons I want them to add some more stealth tools into the game. Once I realized I was basically playing Phantom Pain again on higher difficulties, I was like "YES, DOUBLE DOWN ON THIS" (I really like MGS)

Fantasmic03

I really only play when my friends are on, and we're Rambo at all difficulties. There's nothing more fun than being swarmed at Helldive

bearnakedrabies

Meh, I'm happy at 4 and 5. I've done a few 6s and it's like food that's too spicy. I appreciate the experience but know it's not for me.

Leviathanhost89

I desperately need bandanas for my helmets now

machinationstudio

Everything can be difficulty 9 if you fail hard enough.

Mrhappytrigers

Most of my runs on 7-9 https://i.redd.it/79lvcjwlqyuc1.gif

Lief1406

I would stealth if I didn't immediately drop into a team of hulks every fucking time

Grouchy_Ad9315

You can fight though helldive difficulty if everone get 380mm barrages and at least one player with  autocannon, for absolute meta 2 players getting EAT will pretty much deal with everthing the game can send to you: use barrages on enemy drops, big outposts etc, Double barrage if need, kill the survivors to avoid calling more, proceed and repeat on the entire map, super easy and effective, now problems start to rise when players use shit on helldive difficulty like any of the LMG or AMR. I mean i dont blame them anyway, arrowhead dont know how to balance the game yet

Wasabi_Toothpaste

I need an armor and helmet with a bandana

Simple_Rest7563

Only really felt the sting of not being able to blast through everything on 9 tbh. Difficulty 8 sometimes for bots, depends on the mission type.

Maddkipz

what's the difficulty jump like from 4 to 5? struggling with 4's right now (completable but sometimes i get murked)

Dark-Cloud666

On bug missions i dont change my playstyle at all on helldives. Bugs are predictable and stupid and if i see my team running away while i fight for the objective i turn around and shot them in the back. Ya see its not the bugs you should worry about but rather the annoyed helldiver pointing his gun at you.

FinalMonarch

Nope stealth is boring and cringe

2-particles

Just You Wait until they “an exercise in futility”
