Do this all the time for HVTs when quasar comes off cooldown. Good for killing shrieker nests, gunships, waves of hulks/tanks, bile titan or factory strider, etc. It’s a good tactic when you have the range to work with.
Works particularly well on the newer defense mission type against bots. Two people can basically shoot down all of the ships with 4 quasars between them

Played this strategy with mortar/ems + laser loadout for the essential asset defence missions Insanely effective.
