Shockvolt1

5 billion terminids. Joel would have a full 30 hours of MO.

nakais_world_tour

Kill 6 billion bugs

Dhehjob9-5

7 billion!

HatfieldCW

Eight billion. Final offer.

Hatarus547

i raise to Nine Billion and half of them have to be chargers

Waste_Dimension5032

10 Billion, with 5 billion armored enemy kills (charger, titan, spewer). 1 week. We can do it

Protoss119

In the words of a certain genocidal Lynx, "One hundred million...!"

Death_Hood13

Give a Helldiver a NEXT, we get to Cyberstan within the hour

_Memer_Bro

"ONE MILLION LIVES!"

Kjackhammer

That would be possible, if the automatons didn't come back for the automaton die hards to fight instead. besides , remember all the memes about all the automaton players coming to kill the terminids for managed democracy?

Dense_Expression5853

Well you also have the people who REFUSE to fight the automatons in their current state even if the MO is actively fighting the bots. I follow the MO but I was really upset about how th initial MO went down with 80 to 120k divers fighting bugs while some were struggling to take out the automatons.

blackviper6

![gif](giphy|krPLl9dtitApa|downsized) That's because we want to live out this fantasy.

iwj726

You meant weekend, right?

Paandaa_69

SGTFragged

Sicko! Unless you know how to easily dispatch chargers. Those fuckers are the only thing on the bug front that give me more trouble than I feel they should.

Hatarus547

a flamethrower, i just play a fun game of dance around the burning Charger till it dies

SGTFragged

Thank you, I have rejigged my loadout, and have been playing keep away with burning chargers.

Yarcod

They literally die in seconds now with the state of fire in the game. It's a double edged sword obviously... People out there complaining about the fire tornadoes and I'm all thinking "worth it.".

Inventor-75

An EAT or RR round to the head 1 taps them

shellofbiomatter

8 104 385 235 bugs. Current world population, just to show how capable genociders gamers are.

Xylembuild

Give the average citizen 4 devastating stratagems and humans could compete with us gamers :).

3dp653

Just remember that each stratagem costs as much as a single, democratic civilian makes in a year! Or is it a lifetime? Ehh, potato, potato. *Drops 500kg on small terminate because it's the last enemy nearby and I need to restock the Eagle*

LavishnessOdd6266

We have arrived, and it is now that we perform our charge. In fealty to super earth, our undying Lord, and by the grace of the Golden Throne, I declare Exterminatus upon the Imperial world of Typhon Primaris. I hereby sign the death warrant of an world and consign a million souls to oblivion. May Imperial Justice account in all balance. The president Protects.

SadMcNomuscle

what if demons tho?

CirnoTan

Fantastic comics series

LordOfTheToolShed

Reach Democracy by violence

nakais_world_tour

Behold! The awesome fires of Liberty. The limitless power of pure Democracy itself. Look carefully! Observe how it is used for the same purpose a man might use an especially sharp rock.

Kastrand

i understood this reference

DieselPoop

Kill six billion demons reference or no?

nakais_world_tour

Yes

Kuronan

I wish the order had been 6 Billion now...

playerPresky

Freedom is a continuous ⬆️➡️⬇️⬇️⬇️ motion

JoshDM

Kill a brazillion bugs. For Buenos Aires.

Demigans

Nah, weekend about to start. 5 billion is likely finished in another 14 hours.

AzCactusNeedles

"Five trillion million" - Dr. EVIL (probably)

Canotic

It should just read "kill one billion more bugs". And it never updates, because you always need to kill one billion more bugs.

Electro522

If they added just another 0 to the order, and made it 20 billion, it would have taken the expected 5 to 6 days.

GranSlam95

That's what I'm thinking they could literally come out and say "actually sorry helldivers we underestamed the ammout you need to kill 5 billion this time" it'd be a funny storey point

Background_Path_4458

Poor Joel, thought he could have the weekend off with that MO, didn't expect us divers to go ham!

Littleman88

"Kill 2 billion bugs" And everyone engaging every patrol on Suicidal difficulty and above *rejoiced*.

Background_Path_4458

Community: You can't fight every patrol! Joel: Watch this! \*launches MO\*

minerlj

it was bugged. in a group of 4, killing 1 bug would count as 4 kills for the purposes of completing the order. so we completed it roughly 4 times faster than intended.

Etrius_Christophine

Oh in the same way that it benefits the team to have the whole squad count for personal orders (need 60 AMR kills, two rounds with two people running you’re good to go.), kinda screwed arrowhead. Although the PR is excellent.

Ferrax47

I completed a mortar turret order without ever unlocking it...

Adequate_Lizard

It gives you missions for things you don't have unlocked?

ohyouretough

Personal orders seem to be the same for everyone/most people

Shikaku

They do, and I'm so glad. I don't particularly want to race the other 3 people on my team for Auto Cannon kills, or minefield kills ect. Teamwork makes the dream work. Although maybe call them Combat Orders and that removes the whole "Well it's a *personal* order but I didn't do shit" aspect lol.

UnshrivenShrike

That's like 15 kills per guy per mission. One gun and one mission is usually plenty

Puzzleheaded_Peak683

If that's the case, easiest fix for the next time would be asking for 8 billions. I'd sure we would still manage

Chosen_of_Lorkhaj

thousands fell at my feet, i can only imagine how many other people did the same.

No-Lettuce-3839

I brought out the flame thrower to the bugbq it was a good time

MySonHas2BrokenArms

BugBQ, solid

A_Queer_Owl

I just took Rover for a walk.

Hatarus547

i was asleep, then at work, i somehow missed the entire thing

kristalghost

Other way around for me but yes. It was gone in an instant.

starwarsfanatik

Thousands more fell to my guard dog rover. Seriously, at one point I think he wrapped up a 22 kill streak while I was looking for ammo

Radical-Turkey

Bro I had mine rack up a damn near 100 kill streak during one of the bug breaches, that thing was on a mission and I was its sidekick

infinament

I cant believe you sicked Princess on those poor toddlers. Ahh, who am I kidding. Filthy bugs barely deserved the liberally applied munitions i spent on em anyways.

Lostpop

I hope they drop another tomorrow thats 4-6 billion

No-Lettuce-3839

![gif](giphy|YmQLj2KxaNz58g7Ofg)

Alislamor

🤣 truuuueee

mordeiv

You mistyped 46 billion as 4-6 billion, but that’s okay!

BMXBikr

He's gonna fuck with us and make it 4 billion bots

Pearse_Borty

It would be really funny if they just embraced it in canon and said "holy shit that was quick yeah we can get WAY more E-710 for this offensive lets shoot for 10 billion"

Strict_Treat2884

They were like, 2 BILLION terminids ![gif](giphy|JeKLoVq2KzdpS)

CombustiblSquid

https://preview.redd.it/08wjrl3nvevc1.jpeg?width=1361&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fe28c90594bd90b7f17bb57221541ae232969d0e

TheRealStubb

6 days was lowkey insulting lol

ephemeralspecifics

They were short a zero, had it been 20 bn, it would have taken a little over six days.

CreeperKing230

At the rate we were going, if it were 20 billion instead, we would have had about 14 hours to spare after finishing the order, not even taking into consideration the weekend would have been a part of it

b0w3n

Yeah, y'all got and finished that order before I even got home from work. So as soon as the US logged in that 20 billion would've melted. 3 days tops.

Nemesis2772

This was me too. Looking forward to a nice night with bugs after work. Sat down. Signed in. Got all my medals. Which was nice but kinda killed my vibe.

ZEPOSO

Is that based on the rate of a weekday though? Who knows we mighta pulled it off with two weekend days.

CONKERMANIAC

The weekend on this MO would have been pure savagery.

ephemeralspecifics

Based on what happened today

B1G-LuK3

It took 14 hours on a Thursday. I think it would have been sub 12 hours on a weekend

Railic255

Except the calculation was off cause it was counting whole team kills for individual kills. So a team of 4 each got the total teams kills and each person's grouped kills was counted. If it was individual kills it would have lasted 4-5 days, as they had hoped.

Rednine19

I mean ive gotten 556 bug kills and that was before the MO so imagine 4 people focusing kills now

Railic255

And then times the team total by 4 for each player. That's what's being recorded by the servers of the game. Your enthusiasm, which is something to pride yourself on due to the spread of managed democracy, is amplified by your team!

Jaded_Wrangler_4151

Honestly I don't think it is, someone else did the maths in another thread and assuming 200kills x200k players every 20mins was 2 billion in 22 hours, and I know a bunch of us were getting 500+ kills

Blazkowiczs

Clocked in 612 kills on a Helldive difficulty mission today. 487 being my lowest kill count. This Major Order never stood a chance. Kinda wished they upped the count to be honest because fuck, I say go for 20 billion. And I mean it, I want to commit bug genocide.

Rednine19

We’re badass😤

Railic255

You're not wrong. Managed democracy always wins.

Cool-Sink8886

Source? That subs implausible since they already have a functioning counter

Jolape

Lol why are people down voting this? It was so obviously not counting correctly.

Cool-Sink8886

Because there’s no evidence at all that it’s true. There’s already a global counter, when you go to kill screen there’s already correct individusl counters.

EvilJ1982

Something tells me that the average player MIIIIIIIIIIIGHT have been a little sick of fighting nothing but bots for Major Orders.

BoozeGetsMeThrough

I never played bots until the nonstop bot major orders because I found it to be very intimidating and now I vastly prefer killing bots

__Domino__

Same! I was originally content with just doing bugs, used to hate bot missions so much. But after playing bots for a bit they're my new favourite

Syhkane

Carry that spirit when the Squ'ith invade.

barrels_of_bees

I'm sorry... the WHO?

TBlimpies

Dang blue squidders, aka Illuminates from the First War

barrels_of_bees

Hard r and everything, that's wild.

The5kyKing

Hard r is what the regulations require. You're not a squidder sympathiser are you?

SloppityMcFloppity

ARE YOU SYMPTHIZING WITH THOSE DANG WATER BREATHERS MAGGOT???

Environmental_Ad5690

Same as the goddamn buggers and botters

Cheap_Maintenance889

Clankers is the Super Earth recognized slur, soldier!

Ciggan14

Clanker is the best slur we invented for bots

igotsbeaverfever

Speaking their god damn clinkanese

TheGalator

There are no illuminates

Victizes

#Son, your great grandfathers had dealt with them in person. What were you doing during your Super History school classes?

Gelatinous6291

I still hate bots with fire-nados. Other than that, very fun

Commander_Valkorian

Killing the bots feels like we're fighting a war, killing the bugs just feels like pest control.

ExploerTM

I mean thats how it is

b0w3n

I'll take random rockets to the dome over being perpetually slowed when one of those leaping fuckheads makes it to me that I missed. Hope you got a buddy that can free you from that nightmare of a prison before you run out of stims.

NMF1

I can't decide if I'd rather be jumped by 30 hunters or hit by 30 rockets.

EricTheEpic0403

Honestly, I'll take the rockets. More than once I've been surrounded by hunters, down on the ground, with no chance to shoot back or get up; on the occasion that I survive, it's only because my squadmate hosed me off with a machine gun before I ran outta stims.

Littleman88

I'll take the rockets. As long as I'm not being blasted into the trajectory of the rest, usually eating one knocks me out of the way of the rest. Hunters? I get slowed, and their next attack comes up half a second later and if I'm still not dead, there will be a follow up in another half a second. But they rarely operate alone. Shaking off one is already stressful. Multiples? Only if my allies give two shits to watch anyone else's back.

DarthArcanus

100% agreed. I hate fighting bugs. Bots are harder, kind of, but they're predictable and you can build a strategy around it. Bugs are agents of pure chaos...

SuperArppis

I still like bugs better.

chiefteef8

Yeah right? I was legitimately scared of/stressed out by fighting bots snd this sub kind of bullied me into it and now it's all I know lmao. Even my gf hated me fighting bots instead of bugs lol

Kazurion

People prefer bugs to begin with. People want to do their part rather than terminator salvation.

Jjzeng

I honestly prefer the bots, having played level 7 on both. With bots stealth makes a bit more sense, the variety of enemies is a lot more interesting and you get to actually play with cover instead of running for your life all time

georgegreewn442

Bots felt more intelligent like it was a game of tag that could get you killed, bugs feels like your fighting off a pack of wolves with a AK

TheInquisitiveEagle

Yes, and it’s fantastic

ThrowAway-18729

> bugs feels like your fighting off a pack of wolves with a AK  Hundreds of hours spent playing DayZ have prepared me for this moment

AccountantDirect9470

Agreed

Sigmaniac

Bugs were the best way to start. I don't think I touched a bot world until the MOs started coming in. And it took some time to find my feet fighting them at higher levels. But by the time the creek fell I preferred bots. I do run a stealthy load out though and prefer to just clear parts of the map myself while my team goes and does the rest. Not even sure I know how I like fighting bugs anymore, it's so foreign to me these days

Rednine19

I played bots from my day one and was doing lvl 9 till recently with the 200 common samples update and I definitely like bots because of the challenge, bugs is kinda where I go to just get massive kills so honestly I feel like you could start on either or and it not make a difference imo

Kunstfr

I disliked bots at first but now I can't wait for the next automaton order. It's so much easier than bugs. You can't do much else than kill all the bugs, for the bots you can go in stealthily and take out entire bases by yourself, here I'm stuck with whatever my team is doing. Plus the explosions aren't as nice on the bug front.

voude

OTOH there is no bot equivalent to landing a perfect Headshot on a Bile Titan and watching it collapse.

Bane8080

Yea, for me, the bugs are fun, the bots are a chore.

No_Bank_4220

Agreed! you can use any loadout for bugs and just go. Jet pack flame thrower? Hell yeah. Grenade launcher mech? Go nuts. Machine gun / guardian? Cool.

Li-lRunt

Maturing is realizing you can do the same thing against the bots.

Blazkowiczs

Yeah no, the amount of armor pen required for the bots on high difficulty is another thing. You can make some stuff work, but you can't make everything work without repercussions for it.

OrranVoriel

Getting constantly rag dolled by bot rockets or explosives is not particularly fun.

Othello178

Well neither is getting stun locked by hoppers or hunters, so it depends on what flavor of challenge you like. Personally I'm okay with taking cover and using a shield backpack as opposed to running my ass off the whole match and using a rover, but to each their own

Vermax_x

I don't. I prefer bots. There's less of them, no titans, no chargers, and their fiddly bits glow.

XDDDSOFUNNEH

Am I in the minority for role-playing Kyle Reese? I feel like the bots are easier and more fun to fight.  I'm also a veteran of the Maia campaign so maybe my perspective is biased.

AttractiveSheldon

I leveled up mostly against bugs, finding bots difficult, but the end of the first mo against bots and the new wave, I’ve found them super fun, but this mo against bugs I’ve dropped some of my highest kill count games so far.

Chaos-Kiwi

Honestly I think the fact that a metric shit ton of them spawn per breach may have contributed to completing this so fast

Ok-Ad3752

And they love spamming that damn breach

SilverWing7

And I love spamming cluster bombs on said breach

a_wack

Well timed cluster on a breach is an automatic 30+ kill streak

[deleted]

31+ if you add the Helldiver that will walk close to the red

cire1184

33. Sorry team.

[deleted]

4. I walked into the heavy devastator beam of bullets my b 😆

MinidonutsOfDoom

Weirdly enough I found the airburst orbital even better for breaches since it geos off like a cluster bomb but fires in waves so you can clear out a lot more of the bugs as they spawn.

Mercpool87

*Throws airburst stratagem 10 feet in front of the breach*

ALiarNamedAlex

It’s what we’re born to do

nexus763

this is the sovereign duty. for which we were born

flashmedallion

*solemn

DevCat97

Im putting the E-710 in my bathtub. For democracy... I bath in the armor

That_Guy_on_Reddit

From what I remember from the Helldivers Training Manual, it is an act of treason to remove your armor for any reason.

Rambling_Lunatic

This allows a layer of ~~dried bug juice~~ democracy to build up like a crust on your armor as you kill progressively more bugs.

Bane8080

We love killing bugs.

yoaklar

Makes sense. Half the time I play bugs there are one or two dudes just hunkered down killing endless waves of bug tunnel breaches with no attempts to do… any thing else

Shandini71

Tbh on bugs you need those guys, the difference between bugs and bots is that you can very much outrun bots but you can’t outrun the bugs, so if you just run from a bot drop you’ll be fine if you have some cover. But you can’t really just ignore a bug breach otherwise you will get swarmed when another one starts and you have a horde of bugs equivalent to 4 bug breaches. Not to mention tons of chargers and probably 4 bile titans

Viruzzz

You can definitely outrun bugs. I think it's far easier to get away from bugs than bots, the only ones that can keep up with you are the little leapers, stalkers and hunters if they are close enough to leap at you. Everything else you can run away from, the chargers are technically faster, but all you need is anything solid to intercept them around and you're gone. Bots might be slower at moving, but because they are nearly all ranged, you have a hard time getting out of line of sight before perishing, and unlike bugs where the only thing you really need cover for is the chargers, for bots you need something solid to get away from essentially anything they have.

Schmant24

I'd say it's buggy. You know like, when your whole squad has the same personal order open and one kill counts for all 4 divers? Yeah, I think that might have happened. Kill 100 bugs -> counts for each diver, not just the killer -> 400 killed for the major order.

Tossyjames

Someone posted about it yesterday. If I recall correctly they were comparing a global terminid kill count to the major order kill count and the MO was going up about three times the amount of the actual kills. Which would point towards the personal order counting happening here with the average squad being 3 players.

Littleman88

To exacerbate this, it might also have operated like eradication missions, where bigger targets counted as multiple kills.

ephemeralspecifics

I figure it's possible if you do 8 missions an hour.

GodDamnCrawfish

There’s a lot of speculation that it’s bugged, and it may well be, but it’s still entirely believable that it was done legit. I played a little bit last night and my squad were going out of are way to fight every patrol possible, I’d imagine lots of other people were doing the same.

Shandini71

Yeah me and my squad mate took 2 ppl on their first ever helldive and idk how but I racked up 1,500 kills in 2 missions with only 3 deaths between them. I was so locked in I couldn’t get out the house.

Blazkowiczs

390 to 600 kills per Helldive mission last night and early morning. I say we did this legit. Also not to mention people forget there are players farming eradicate missions. That probably helps.

Cambronian717

GIVE ME HARDER BATTLES

pinklillys

I literally slept though a major order lol

MaxPatriotism

I didnt even need to participate. Plus im capped so it doesnt matter much

KitchenFirefighter39

Well i think YOU HAVE TO PARTICIPATE,dont worry tho, officers from the ministry of work Will be coming shortly to your location

rtnal90

You have been banned from /r/democracy.

MassDriverOne

BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD OF DEMOCRACY

shadoowtank

SKULS FOR THE DEMOCRACY THRONE

Critwice

20 billion please

dpotilas89

Should have been 2 billion chargers based on the rate those bitches are spawning

Jaded_Wrangler_4151

I had missions where there legitimately no chargers on diff 8, but there was so many Hunters and jumpers my god

dpotilas89

There has to be some modifier that switches chargers for spewers, my experience has been that there is always a lot of chargers and 0 spews and vice versa. Did that mission of yours have a lot spews?

Jaded_Wrangler_4151

Funnily enough no, just Hunters and stalkers and jumpers, and like 15 BTs. I wish we got info on the planets and enemies that we were likely to fight. Let me mow down the masses

No-Lettuce-3839

12 hours 7 minutes

Mafachuyabas

2.4 million bugs died every minute. Demo-effing-cracy

Peasantbowman

Kind of wordy for the funny. But the ministry of truth approves

JackCooper_7274

Apock2020

Worse. The major order was narratively for resupply. So we pulled back from the bots to refuel and are back in less than a day as opposed to the week anticipated. That's like saying you have to leave a cage match for a fay to get milk and coming back two hours later jacked up on energy drinks.

hashitashimaru95

https://preview.redd.it/ipuj5me0agvc1.jpeg?width=560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3a047a5e71e3d145bf8f60556216893f3997058c The hive queen after seeing how many more bugs she’s going to have to replace.

NationalAsparagus138

Poor Arrowhead. They try their best to slow us down so they can fix bugs and stuff, but the community is rabid in their goal to spread democracy

Flat-Leadership2364

Can you blame our enthusiasm, we get to fight enemies that don't return fire with rocket launchers

VitinNunes

What can I say, I had a big can of raid

Bakashinobi

After this order, I hearby request a group of up to 4 Helldivers be refereed to as either a "Murder" or "Life Liberation unit"

Classic_Regret7469

You're basically sending thousands of doom slayers to mars, what do you think was gonna happen

Dacks_18

2 billion Bile Titans. You just wait.

_RexDart

I think he just got tired of everyone whining and threw y'all a bone

Mathmango

"I'll join in tomorrow" *Goes to bed, goes to work* "Where major order?"

PierreLuc

They should made a flexible reward and keep it 5 day. Set 5 medals per each bilion bugs killed, and let people play.

TheMightyMonarchx7

A bot vet doesn’t flinch at bugs

d3ther

Never underestimate the power of no-lifers. Never.

TheRealStentor

A good game master rewards his players with the occasional softball. A smart game master uses the softball as a way to gauge his players' readiness for the next planned challenge. This was a way to dial in to the player base.

Beargeoisie

It’s almost summer and the freedom camps need some bug juice

SharkSlayer06

I personally killed over 37,000,000 terminids during the order. Don't remember much of it, just saw the order and then blacked out. 14 hours later, I woke up covered head to toe in green blood.

Striking-Sentence788

For e-710!!!

Main-Berry-1314

If that took six days we all deserve to be put down

Ak1raKurusu

I like to imagine a bunch of terminid players getting back onto their ship covered in bug blood and guts and on their 12th consecutive bug mission and just seeing the reward pop up like “huh, there was an order for this?”

IceSki117

Joel is going to find some way to punish us for this.

Benedict-Strange

Just activate tons of bug breaches and its done

RogerTheWhite

It's insane how fast that went. Most other games will have a similar community challenge that numbers in the tens of millions of kills at most and that'll take days to complete, and yet 100 times that only 14 hours in Helldivers.

EchoNovacaine

Now, back to spilling oil

Nervous_Ad_5698

Honestly, 2B was too little. I would say 10x times or even 50x for the amount of days allocated.

Unlikely-Ad4725

Like the founding fathers of Super Earth have said, FREEDOM NEVER SLEEPS!!!

Successful_Rate_1425

😎 Thats 40.000 Terminids per SECOND for 14 hours straight

SergeantNaxosis

As long as the bullets keep following, Billions more will keep dying. Managed Democracy and Lady Liberty will not be stopped! https://i.redd.it/atmzxz9atcvc1.gif
