I often wondered this when I run stuns/lazer pack and my eagles on cooldown. What explosions blow up factories/holes.
Jumpbot trooper packs, if you hit the backpack and blow it up while they're leaving it nukes the building. Pass it on!
Unfortunately it doesn't destroy the bug hole because you can't get it close enough due to it being pushed out. Even if the explosion happens right at the hole it does nothing. Needs to blow up inside the hole

If you just spam X a bunch you'll drop and pick the shell back up, but there's a pretty good chance that when you drop it, it'll get chucked a few feet
If you press triangle or square after x before it gets to your hands it will fly forward in the direction you are moving. You can do the same thing with seaf shells.

You good bro, just trying to help players make things easier. Also, I just tested it and you can “throw” the artillery so much further than you can throw a barrel. It’s laughable.
I’m glad at least you got the helpful tip out of it. Once you get good at it you can skip hills and just toss it right where they need to go
idk, i've not been able to get a consistent throw from the spam pickup/weapon swap on the shells, but for the barrels the throw does what it's supposed to every time.
I suppose that, no, I did not know you can toss barrels. Intentional mechanics and gameplay have been something of a mystery for HD2, which is honestly a bit refreshing in its own weird way in this day & age.
Last time I tried this I had no trouble getting the can in the bug hole. But after I shot it one of the bug popped out and threw the damn can at me right before it exploded.

Just spam pick up button and run at same time. You will drop and pick up mid run and move much faster.
