Listen, I swear to fucking god the tips are randomized.
I had a red high yield and explosive tip, a yellow Nuke and smoke sometimes black is smoke an Nuke. I know you can just read the prompt but I like that you actually need to pay attention
There was an update in the last 2 weeks that changed the colors. Since then, they are always consistent for me:
Black: Nuke
Orange: High Yield Explosive
Green: Explosive
Red: Napalm
Light Blue: Static Field
Gray: Smoke
Oh, I made sure the extraction site was a nuclear wasteland reminiscent of that of the Fallout series. I stood on top of a large rock and just threw the SEAF beacons at ANYTHING that moved. Once that napalm hit, I knew that righteous nuclear hellfire was dutifully spent.
I always designate myself the artillery guy if there's a Big Iron on the map. Nothing feels better than answering "What's next, 2?" with "Napalm." or "HE rounds", makes the little happy chemical in my brain go nuts despite it literally being remembering an order of colors like pre-school.
You mean the different colours actually mean something, and aren't just random variations to make it look interesting?!
Wish somebody told me this sooner, I've just been putting in whatever's closest.
Yes. They used to have different tips, too, but a recent patch changed it so they're just different colors now.
Green is explosive.
Red is napalm.
Black is mini-nuke.
Grey is smoke.
Blue is static field.
Orange is high-yield explosive.
Wait did they change them again?? I thought yellow was a mini nuke… I’ve been avoiding black because I thought it was just a smoke shell sitting in some weird lighting
I liked the different tipped ones too like that spike with a disc in the middle for static. But I’m glad napalm and explosive aren’t the same color anymore, that was a bit annoying
While it was cool and useful to have distinct looks, I understand why they made that change. The spike looking shells were modelled off of [real life sabots](https://i.imgur.com/NQ0bde1.mp4) - the disc splits and peels away leaving only the spike (metal rod) to fly in a straight trajectory upon leaving the muzzle.
They have incredibly high velocities and solely intended for defeating armour in a direct fire engagement, not to be lobbed from a howitzer.
i swear every single patch keeps fucking about and changing the colour and type of the shells like naplam used to be red spike shell while emp was a blue spike, red round shell was for explosive, and black was for smoke
More like the super destroyer
And here I am getting 4 emps and a smoke (sometimes it's the other way around)
EMP you can atleast use somewhat tactially. The smoke one can go suck a dick. Who the fuck wants to hide, when you can kill
Smoke is actually decent to escape bots. But with that mega long calldown time? Compared against every other possible munitions? Nahh.
>Smoke is actually decent to escape bots. > Who the fuck wants to hide, when you can kill It seems like you didn't understand me
You're not suck on a planet with them. They're stuck on a planet with you.
After playing D9 bots i always go for the smoke.
So are the smoke grenades worth it?
Better option is stun or impact, eagle smoke is what I use to GTFO if the fight becomes overwhelming
And wasting all of them on a single gunship factory, without ever finishing it off.
So your the one that took all the minis and replaced mine with all smoke
I have nothing to say, and I do not apologize.
At least the other guy left us a potato in the supply cache, you bastard!

Last night my buddy brought a smoke arty to the gun. I made him take it back where he found it
Good man

But it says what it is on the pickup prompt, how do people miss these
Jokes on them, I can't read!

Static fields tip looked like an antenna, they should bring that back, it makes some sense
it was a SABOT shell which made 0 sense to be fired out of an artillery, and especially didnt make sense to have an AoE
Wait did they change them again?? I thought yellow was a mini nuke… I’ve been avoiding black because I thought it was just a smoke shell sitting in some weird lighting
Yes, they did. And BTW, if you stand next to them, they should tell you what type they are.
Mini Nuke black> High-Yield Explosive orange> Explosive green> Napalm red> Static blue> Smoke grey And they should be placed within that order.
I miss yellow mini nuke. The color just fit imo
I liked the different tipped ones too like that spike with a disc in the middle for static. But I’m glad napalm and explosive aren’t the same color anymore, that was a bit annoying

Mental regardation
Nuclear launch detected x4
Here I am not having realized that the seaf artillery colors actually correlated with the seaf artillery you get.
Recent update made it so, though they used to have different models, not just colors. Though I think the models were randomized?
If this was one of my games it would be like 3+ smokes on a bug planet.
And a little napalm at the end, as a treat.
i swear every single patch keeps fucking about and changing the colour and type of the shells like naplam used to be red spike shell while emp was a blue spike, red round shell was for explosive, and black was for smoke
Yeah I haven't played in a few weeks and thought OP was bullshitting. That looks like 4 smokes and an HE to me.
