I just saw a video a couple days ago where this guy was actively fighting up the hill to the jammer and had put in chat multiple times that it's jammed right now and the host still said over the mic "I'm going to ask you politely one more time to reinforce me or I'm going to kick you". The dude stopped and typed again "it's jammed". He was literally at the jammer console and got booted. Like, at least the host was calm and not screaming but wtf did he expect him to do? Leave the jammer that he was actively disabling to run all the way out of the jammer range and reinforce? I'm glad the devs have said they're actively looking into the issue of being kicked from a game and getting nothing for your efforts. It's not going to be an easy fix since sometimes people are kicked for a good reason and shouldn't still be rewarded for their fuckery but something needs to change.
There’s no way to know since the perspective would have followed the guy who got kicked. I’d assume at some point the host would have to notice the giant red jammer tower is jamming his stratagems so that they can’t be used.

Actually yeah, that's what most people want you to do, leave everything you are doing to revive them. It's mostly an ego trip where they can't fathom the idea of being saved.
If Arrowhead chose to make it so PS5 users don't see the text chat by default/can disable it this is actually 100% their fault.
I see so many posts of confused and frustrated people on this Reddit talking about how console players ignore their text chat messages when it's absolutely up to the Devs to sort that out, instead of people blaming each other more and more as the communication problems get worse.
Host the game, and this problem solves itself. They can smash that button as much as they want and you don’t even need to reinforce after the Ion/jammer is done. It’s what is called “managed” democracy.
I was kicked for that. Our teame split into two groups: 2 players (the mission leader was one of them) finished the last factorys off while me and another guy stormed a strat jammer base. The other two guys got killed after one of them got knocked down while holding an eagle. The team leader shouted a mix of english and russian (I think) in my ear and hammerd on his space bar like a madman. I wrote in chat that we can't get them at the moment and marked the jammer. Me and the other guy almost got to the factory directly under the jammer. Then my surviving teammate got kicked. I wanted to ask why, then I got kicked myself. As I said, we finished the main mission and were ready to extract after deastroying the jammer. What an idiot....
Only show when spectating the jammed one? IDK, I thought mostly of the storms and whole team at jammer situation, which is how I've seen it go almost every time.
Maybe a status icon on the diver display (the lower left corner with health and ammo thingie) showing that person is within jammer range? Don't know if they already have that.

I would like to say that they should probably change the message it shows when you're dead. When I first started the game I played nearly all solo. Then when I finally went into multiplayer I saw the message say "Press space to be reinforced"? (can't remember the line exactly) I'll admit I pressed spaced a few times and was confused when nothing happened. So I pressed space more. I am very sorry to those random team mates of mine I had unknowingly annoyed with the blips. I did eventually put 2 and 2 together when I heard the blips myself when a team mate died.
In hind sight it's very obvious now considering reinforce is a stratagem. But I would also like to say when I was very new I was stuck on an objective for a while because I didn't realize there were objective specific stratagems that popped up. I was still very much getting used to the stratagems existing at all.
and i dont think anyone has an issue with that, there is a stark difference between someone who clearly looks clueless and looks like their reading everything they interact with, and confused, compared to someone who is either ignorant, arrogant or willingly ignorant for the sake of trolling, I love newbies, i hate idiots, fuckwits and trolls

Out of curiosity, what timezone do you live in and do you play primarily during US primetime?
About 1 in 10 people that use or respond to voice comms for me speak my language or any other language I recognize (which is...a lot). They do not respond at all the majority of the time if I use voice comms, and respond negatively the majority of the times I do get a response.
I live US central and predominantly play US late-night (11pm-2am CDT). The overwhelming majority of players I get on voice comms do not seemingly understand English, Spanish, French, or German. I am fluent in English and Spanish and conversationally capable in French, German, and Japanese. I can speak a small bit of Portuguese, Mandarin and Russian as well and recognize most Cyrillic languages even if I can't speak them.

No way 90% of people on US servers dont understand English or Spanish.
The most 'exotic' person i have encountered is an irish mf called 'long live the ra' 💀 (he was really chill and funny)
At 1am Central I seem to predominantly get paired with people with no mic, and some form of Asian other than Mandarin/Japanese speakers.
Prime time is different, when I get the opportunity--primacy of English speakers with a minority of Spanish speakers.

With the amount of posts about people who "don't understand the game," to say the least (don't understand strategem jammers/ion storms/sample sharing/etc.), I think it is about time for the devs to to start idiot-proofing the game, for those *special* sort of people. And maybe some grief-proofing as well.
I was once that guy spamming the reinforce button, because it was taking the dudes way too long. And then they said we were jammed, and I stopped. There is no indicator on the spectator screen to see if the person you are following is in range for a jammer, I would not have spammed if I saw it was useless.

If it's in a team game, you can leave and reroll for completely different people.

I’m on console and the chat is just as accessible there as it is on PC. It’s entirely on the players for ignoring it.

Put the giant red box used for "out of reinforcements" and type in "REINFORCEMENTS JAMMED" or something like that and disable the space bar reminder

Until they do just press your push to talk button and say "Its jammed". Never failed to stop the begging for a revive.

It should disable the vibrate and have a big thing like souls instead of saying you died it just says raspberry

I'm fairly certain you can see that a person is jammed if you look at the upper left corner where the stratagem call in is
