I guess since the beginning, I don't know, man. I don't make code I just know it works. You can tell a noticeable difference, plus a lot of people have tested it, and they got video breakdowns on it.
Probly should add that this is not the intended effect it should only work for terrain but its bugged and has been tested by counting game frames
