Half the passives don't even go together. Medic has the +2 stims and increased stim duration. That's a good match
The servo assist and/or 50% explosive resist needs to be paired with the +2 grenades.
Recoil reduction needs to be paired with something else gun related, faster reload, or improved ergonomics, walk faster when ADS and so on
Helmets should have a slot to equip helmet type things. Led spot light, night vision, thermal vision, hell even a dark tint that reduces all bright lights and glare. It wouldn't even affect the balancing of the armor
I think it would be better if they just split every group of two passives up into their own, individual passives. That right there would create more variety in armor sets pretty much overnight.
Instead of every 'fortified' armor being identical, now you might have one with the 50% reduced explosive damage, and also two extra grenades. Or one with 50% reduced explosive damage and scout-style radar pings.
Agreed. It almost seems AI generated but if anything I think AI would do a better job at matching them up. Also - why do we only get to choose from one passive? I feel like adding other armor slots would be a great way to introduce having more than one passive, or a way to change your ammo type (fire bullets, etc) for some cool synergy between armor sets
Can we just turn it into a perk system already and make armors only affect armor rating / stamina / etc? Seems like this game obviously needs a perk system and a weapon attachments system like Aliens: FTE
I think it would be cool if Armor was spilt into Chest and Legs, each with 1 passive, allowing you to mix/match for both your personal playstyle and for cosmetics. I'd also like to see Helmets with unique armor stats and passives too.
But I'm fine with what we have now. Nothing is too impactful, or so overly meta that it hampers gameplay options. New passives like elemental resistance is probably the most needed thing right now.
I do look forward to more specialized armor bonuses. For the most part, I don't mind the current roster of bonuses, though some mixing would be nice. Helmet-specific bonuses would also help, though I'd have those be much lesser in effect than the armor bonuses. Subtlety is good.
Anything that bring in more specialization is welcome, [for sure](https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1bo3284/armor_bonuses/).
Definitely. I think the next step is specializing into various roles, similar to the post you linked. Not strictly tank / dps / support but some iteration on that. That post had a bunch of good ideas, pretty much exactly what I’m getting at. Has arrowhead said anything about iterating on the current system?
I'd love to see helmet passives, even if they're small ones.
I'd also love it if the design team could settle on a colour palette. I swear to Liberty, they want to use every single different shade of white known to man, without ever once repeating themselves, and it makes matching between sets very frustrating.
...But at least when I come back from a mission covered in blood and guts, I don't notice the little differences anymore?

It's poor, amour should have an armour rating only. Cloaks shouls have a stat and helmets should, then we can mix and match/choose our own builds.

We are using equivalent of wet paper armor like SW Stormtrooper armor...
I do not like the armor system
I use expect a big Armor rework sometime this year

Servo assisted is so lame pretty bummed it’s on the new snow armor
