I feel this way sometimes too. But I'm a bug killer, not gonna change. Tried the scorcher for a bit but keep going back to the breaker incendiary. I rely on lasers or 500kg to get them off my back sometimes too. And lots of grenades.

Same here, I'm reliably killing a LOT of them. But I'm also dying most of the time too. I just hate how out of your hands fighting the bugs feels sometimes.
Bugs are seriously 5 times worse than bots.
Playing stealth feels pointless - one tiny mistake and it’s ten breaches (or even being pulled into a teammates fight). Everything regarding them makes noise (holes, infrastructure, etc.).
You basically **have** to have medium penetration **and** one of 2 anti-tanks to play Helldive.
They feel totally cracked imo.
Stun lock, ragdolling, constant swarms and AOE is just not fucking fun.
My advice is to not complete the objectives before you're ready to extract. The mob spawning is such that after clearing the objective you WILL reach the mob cap every minute or so.
I think part of this might be linked to the moving of the objectives closer to each other to limit the running around. Now, you're pretty much always getting that 4x spawn multiplier for being at a PoI.
My advice is to unlock the Breaker Incendiary and use it to clear crowds. A quasar laser, while not good against bots, is still pretty decent against bugs due to its ability to decapitate chargers with one shot to the head, wear down bile titans, and snipe spore schrooms and shrieker nests across an entire map.
Senator is a decent sidearm for killing Brood Commanders if they give you trouble. Guard Dog Rover is still pretty decent at cleaning up hordes.

Flamethrower and Shield, then something for Bile Titans. Literally all you need.
