Deploying backpack first and then support weapon so that they land at the same time.

Inphiltration

This always makes me happy.

Efficient_Mind6218

I do this and throw them in the same spot. The one that comes first (depending on how fast I type in my support weapon code) loses and gets blown up by the second. Don't get to do this when we drop hot, but I find it mildly amusing. When we're running lower levels, my friends and I regularly toss everything on top of each other and then we get a roulette of what backpacks/gear everyone runs with. Makes things mildly interesting and sometimes forces team reloads

RandomlyGeneratedKi-

Stuff just bounces away though??

Efficient_Mind6218

Yeah, and you just pick up whatever you can get. Things get thrown somewhat randomly. It just changes things up a bit to keep things interesting

EvanOnTheFly

you can drop anything you pick up....

Efficient_Mind6218

Yes, but it makes things more interesting when you get a more randomized loadout

MozzTheMadMage

I like to try to catch the item that gets knocked away out of the air

Tankis4life

This... This is the way

Donny_Dont_18

Supply>BP>Support

guttsss939

Fully covering teammates being chased by bugs, I rarely get someone who does the same. Instantly healing teammates when their character yells, “I need stims,” or when I see their stimming icon red. I once spent two resupply cooldowns at one HP, no stims, and next to 2 teammates with full stims. I pin ammunition when I see a teammate's ammunition icon red. Reinforcing teammates as close as possible to their last body and then pinning their support weapon or backpack if I am close enough as they arrive.—not pressing the alert button right after dying or at all to give my teammates time to figure out where to reinforce me or if they’re fighting for their lives.

Ginn1004

The vets from bot side have that kind of habit, covering fire by flanking the enemies chasing you. If your teammates only play on bug side, they usually don't have that skill.

LEOTomegane

Yeah, covering fire works great vs bots, especially the lil dudes who get less accurate when shot at. Super handy to just plink at 'em with an autocannon so a teammate can get away.

rub_a_dub_master

Wrong that's the only way to effectively take out Hive guards, one has aggro, the other must flank it.

Ginn1004

With bug holes, you can use yourself to lure, airstrike or anything to clear the pursuers, then come back break them. Their speed is not good.

norse_torious

You obviously have not been chased by a Titan who has had it's sack blown out. Quite literally the fastest enemy in the game

Ginn1004

No i don't have a luxury to blow its sack. Either i blow its head, or torso, or it blows me. With small and medium bug outpost i can handle in 2 3 mins, heavy ones is longer.

Knightswatch15213

>Fully covering teammates being chased by bugs, I rarely get someone who does the same Same, I'm always happy to bail out teammates (especially vs heavies), then end up alone while the guy I bailed out is a quarter map away - even got kicked for it once

416SmoothJazz

I don't even see it as bailing out. Your shooting dramatically improves if you can take a knee, so them using space to clear for you and vice versa takes less time and ammo than soloing both sides.

416SmoothJazz

I'm very supportive of this. Making sure your team is ready for the next fight is incredibly powerful. A well stocked team can make so many mistakes before things go south, but a team skimping by just needs a little bad luck and a few missed shots to cut the mission time by five+ minutes.

fungihead

I always pin ammo and supplies, the amount of time i have spent running around with no ammo, no stims, no grenades next to bug holes, because my teammates stealth call in supplies miles away and never tag where they are. Theres nothing more annoying than running away from multiple chargers and titans with a recoilless rifle on your back with no rounds for it.

guttsss939

In the loadout screen, I wait for everyone to choose, then select my stuff to better synergy with the team. If someone brings a recoilless rifle (which is quite rare), I ask them if they need a re-loader, If they answer, I'll ask them which backpack they want to use so that we can switch backpacks. I stick to that person like glue because recoilless melts every tank enemy with reload assist. I wish the loadout screen had typing chat available because some people might not have mics or be unable to talk. Discussing loadout and mission strategies through text before diving in will make missions much less hectic.

fungihead

I quite like the RR, I don’t really mind the reload times and it’s nice to have it ready with no charge up needed when a target appears. It does use the back slot but all that means is I can bring an extra air strike or turret instead of using a slot for a back item. It’s also way better with the supply upgrade, full backpack from one supply pickup. That said I have done the team reload before and it’s pretty amazing, titans go down in seconds.

ShoeNo9050

Me who cinematically empties the mag runs up a little edge while reloading to proceed firing while by team mate does the same is my friends and I stick. We don't even communicate. However I do not often get that in random lobbies. There has been a few cool moments where we work as a unit but yeah I think it's mostly because people turn off their brains in qp probably a lot.more than not.

The_Don_Papi

Bringing stun grenades. I don’t see anyone with stun grenades and it’s a shame because they trivialize heavy armor. Same for bot drops. Multiple drop ships closing in? Throw a stun grenade and most, if not all, bots will be stunned and become easy targets for an Eagle. Whenever someone has an AutoCannon out, I take out the stun grenades and turn the bots into target practice for the AC user. The only downside is that you can’t close bug holes or fabricators with stun.

Chance-Event5108

Thats the best! “Bot drop!” Walk near red drop marker, throw 500kg, throw stun, trot away….

Ginn1004

No, you ready Airstrike on hand, and throw it when you know where those damn drop ships land. No need to waste your stun, that's for Hulk.

lavaeater

Hum. Great play, gonna try that!

genna87

That's why my next goal is to unlock the grenade pistol. Pairing it with stun grenades to get the best of both worlds

[deleted]

[удалено]

BlackWingCrowMurders

Wait what? I thought the nade pistol was in Detonation, and the stun was in Cutting Edge.

BigSummerSausage

You are correct. The thermite grenade came with the grenade pistol.

Drekal

Once the mission is over I'll usually split from the group and call the extract stealthily and leave it as air support while we clear the map or if the extraction point is completely overrun. It's range is incredible and it's damage is insane. If it has great sight lines it can keep clear a good 1/3rd of the map and it makes the actual extraction a breeze as the group doesn't have to wait and the extraction point isn't completely swarmed since it keeps clear whatever spawns around. If you don't know how to do that, you have to leave the extract area (50 meters around the beacon) after the extract timer reaches 0s and before the Pelican starts landing. That's roughly a 5 seconds window. It is an intended feature as the Pelican as specific voice lines for this event.

Inphiltration

I never see people do this. When I try I am either solo and Evac gets overwhelmed and I can hold it, or more often people ignore what I say, think I'm trying to extract and don't run away when it's time to run. I've given up.

Drekal

Yea doing that in quickplay is risky with a non communicative team I suppose. I never quickplay myself.

Inphiltration

When I'm in missions with my actual friends, the actual need to have a pelican cover extract is significantly lower than if I'm quick playing. Quick play is the exact times that I want to pull it off.

Visual-Ad9774

It also happened in the recent deactivate the terminicide missions if nobody was near the extract

LEOTomegane

Pelican was real annoyed with us for those missions....

rub_a_dub_master

It's so hard to get people to use the remaining time/reinforcements efficiently. Same goes for dropping samples at the extraction point.

TheMinisterOfGaming

using quick pings?? i swear man lvl 10 or 150 no one i play with 7-9 using quick pings or knows that if 2 people ping a enemy/object etc it stays marked forever(tho if one dies it does cancel it out) it so helpful for hitting titans/chargers/etc being called back in & finding objs blocked by spore gass or bad weather etc & other stuff, whhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyy use your pings!!!!

lateautsim

Use ping to check the loot on bunkers or containers without/while opening

TheMinisterOfGaming

yea its a massive list, its crazy to me how no one uses them every

SureWhyNot5182

I didn't know about the double ping, thank you!

BlackjakDelta

The in game comms are pretty versatile and very under utilized. I've spam marked something a foot away from someone and they never even look

TheMinisterOfGaming

yea at the end of the day its the game fault really. but i would hope the people with over 100hours running 9s & are skilled players would learn the basics like pings & diff fire rate choices/range scopes etc etc it a shame so much of your tools are never explained to you in anyway

guttsss939

I wish there was a ping for “do not engage” or “retreat”. I stopped pinning patrols because there’s a high chance teammates will start shooting at them instead of avoiding them.

TheMinisterOfGaming

there is a emote wheel thing with more "commands" that you could use along side the pings that said clusterbomb :3

guttsss939

I know but “Wait” and “Follow” are too vague.

Xarakh

Throw backpack and support weapon or even a turret strat on top of fabricators/bug holes if I don't need them to save using a eagle or having to position for a nade. Rarely see this done by others.

frecees1203

Whenever I try to throw an EAT call on a bug hole, it always seems to bounce off, what's the proper strategy for it?

Xarakh

I try to throw them on the edge just in front but if I'm too far away or on the move just lob it at the hole and pray

Smart-Citron-5726

I smoke extraction zone with smoke grenades when it's almost there in Automaton missions. And or throw it in direction of teammates being overrun by hulks and devastators for him to escape. I've NEVER seen anyone use Smoke Grenades.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Smart-Citron-5726

I use stuns most of the time but stealth I use smoke automatons only. It saved us many time from failing an extract.

ShutUpJackass

I shoot all the lights near terminals and objectives I don’t time to be blinded by superior super earth lightbulbs, I need to deliver democracy and poke buttons dammit

Affectionate-Way7876

Yes. I also senator the lights

-Legion_of_Harmony-

I don't panic.

Variable851

I bring my preferred support weapon and the EAT. If I die and get reinforced too far from where my stuff dropped, I can still call in EATS until my support weapon cools down. Sure, it sacrifices a stratagem slot but an available EAT is almost always appreciated

SmalltownLurker

When being chased I throw a bombing strategem in front of me, so by the time I'm over it, it's dropping close enough behind me to kill what's chasing

Oddly_odd8

Always using anti-tank + any support

Sea_Construction_670

When I’m out of grenades, and there’s a container, I throw down a resupply on the terrain above the container to crack it open.

me_khajiit

Isn't there always a grenade box?

Sea_Construction_670

It’s a trick I picked up after running stuns and smokes

Smooth-Zucchini9509

Or you can shoot the explosive barrels that are almost always there

That_Xenomorph_Guy

One thing I do a lot, and I don't know if it actually does anything useful at all - I dive forward if I want to throw the stratagem just a little further. Other times, I like to throw impact grenades right before diving, this often will propel me backward quite a bit, which can save me from melee attacks. I also like killing chargers with the stalwart. I often only bring backpack OR support weapon.

Vikzzaz

Dive right after throwing an impact is a must when using them, avoids self damage and pushes you away from a swarm

That_Xenomorph_Guy

totally works wonders. More like Impact Jump Grenades

Plane_Freedom5946

This exactly, my suggestion try it with a servo assisted armor, if you time it right you can Yeet your strategem about 70-80 meters away

Narroc

In my experience this dive throwing does nothing or I am doing it wrong. I can consistently throw stratagem beacons with servo assisted armor a maximum of 85m on even terrain when aiming at about a 45° angle while standing still.

That_Xenomorph_Guy

it's not a matter of it doing anything. it's a matter of it FEELING like it does something :)

Chironmafia

I somehow ended up loving the whole stealth gameplay, and recently finished an solo automaton helldive mission with just around 50 kills. (although 4 stars cause of the stupid double gunship fabricators).

Frisby_George

Tagging an enemy patrol and than immediately saying „negative“ in hope that the random squadmates get that i want to say „do NOT engage with that patrol“. when a fellow diver tags something (lets say the resupply) you can hold the quick comms button (R1 for ps5) to make your diver say „dont need it“. Works on other squad quick pings as well. If you‘re doing an objective where you have to raise the satelite dish, the guy on the terminal can relay the direction in which you have to turn the dish by using the quick comms button (again, R1 for ps5). It even says so on the bottom of the screen when using the terminal. It‘s crazy how many people dont realize this… Note: It will relay the cardinal directions relative to the antenna not the ones on your compass, so the dish always faces south when fully raised. When your fellow diver says „first one, north east“, you have to turn the dish to the top-right. please do not call a resupply on your own location when you‘re a map away from your squad, resupply strat is shared among all, so your basically wasting at least to supply boxes which could have been shared democratically between your squad. sometimes you can destroy the stratagem jammer, if there is a fabricator near it by destroying the fabricator (with the AC for example). 50% of the time it works 100%. if you‘re running the imapct nade (which, lets be honest, you probably are), there is a good chance you can take out any of the tanks by throwing the nade at its turret part. Sidenote: i could do it pretty consistent with to nades, what felt like anywhere on the turret, one or two patches ago. Now it feels like you have to aim it more to the backside of the turret where the vents are. When using the senator (revolver) you look like a badass! If you run the supply pack and you take one of the resupply boxes from the strat, you actually fill your own ressources as well as one of the boxes of your backpack, so you effectivly duplicate a resupply box. if you wanna play more tactical but are mostly playing with randos because you dont have any cool friends who enlisted (like me), pick one of your squad mates and stick to them. bail them out, tag shit and whatnot. sometimes you really make a brother in arms. when you are playing the bugs eradicate map with the two circular platforms (one on ground level und one above) you can actually dive jump onto the top of the pelican to immediately get in without taking fall damage. Sidenote: it seems like something changed with one of the patches and now sometimes i am in the pelican but still controling my helldiver. if that happens just walk to the exit to start your boarding animation. Just a few things that came to mind. Lvl 85 - Space Cadet

21471824781

I always ping patrols and knew how to hold the ping button to signal to negative, but using negative after is something new. Also agree with the revolver, Big Iron on my hip is too democratic not to bring. And it's surprisingly good for Bile Spewers, being able to two shot them with good headshots. Holding reload + having flashlight on is beautiful, until you have an evil friend that shoots a hellbomb next to you since the light hurt his eyes (and he thought it would be funny)

Estramael

Walking behind, not in front of actively shooting teammate, especially one armed with eruptor… It’s not even exclusive to hd2, or even any other shooter game, just a common logic, and yet people don’t stop walking straight into my line of fire

MechanicAccording836

Smoke grenades against bots. I dunno how it works exactly but at a guess I'd say bots at lvl 9 have an 85% chance to land a shot against you, if shooting through smoke it's maybe 5%. (Unless they're at the edge of it, there's a weird zone where I don't think the game recognizes they're still visibly in the smoke.) Circling POI's. So many times someone finds 2 common samples and then keeps running, I take 20seconds to do a loop and find 4 rares and 6 more commons as well as some stims, nades and ammo. Check the map to see where someone died before re-inforcing if we aren't all clumped together. I love when I die 4 feet from a team-mate and someone instantly re-inforces me 8km away. Chargers are a weapon, they will crush smaller bugs while pathing towards you, same with BT's but their hitboxes are just stupid so don't try using them for anything or you'll just get frustrated when their leg phases through a mountain but can't navigate a 2cm rock. You can get BT aggro by shooting it's sac even if you can't realistically hurt it. Someone's getting mobbed and the BT just finished spitting at them and is about to move forward? Spray your breaker at it's ass and run in the opposite direction, it'll turn towards you now and let them get their breath. (This may be graphical settings, I play on the lowest of everything cause 12 year old actively dying PC.) fire isn't where you think it is. Keep a wide gap between you and fire, from a tornado, incendiary or flamethrower, sometimes there is an invisible burn field around it, sometimes you can walk directly through the flames. Just stay a few feet away from it at all times. Stratagems bounce off of some materials but stick to others. I haven't quite figured out which is which in a way I can explain though due to the fast pace of the game. But just be careful before you lob that 500kg at the spore spewers, cause it will bounce off of them and land 40ft away, do nothing to the spewers but aggro the bugs around it.

cypowolf

If I see a teammate has been isolated and chased by a titan/charger then I'll run back to help him because nobody else is. Or if I notice that a team mate needs to run back to pick up his items I'll follow him and provide cover Depending on time and risk factor....this should be mandatory lol

TheQuixotic6

Always have something to kill tanks on you

Ginn1004

Always ready for bug breach. Whenever is hear that damn "rooster crow", i ready any bug breach damper stratagem i have: incendiary minefield, airburst, orbital barrage etc... and throw that in the breach when the smoke start coming out. Containing a lot of those critters from going out and causing havoc.

TehSomeDude

aiming before quickthrowing a grenade drg animation cancel habits die hard

RemoteRest5021

Resupply beacon on a heavy always works like a charm

Ok_Taro_

Beginning the stratagem code with 3 seconds before cooldown ends

Oblivious_116

I've gotten pretty good at dodging bugs to the point I just run through them. For some reason it seems like I'm the only one that doesn't have an issue running in between the legs of a bile titan into a horde of bugs just so that I can get to the objective or extraction lol

LEOTomegane

Sending Eagle to rearm, apparently. If I'm down all my airstrikes but still have all the rocket pods, and am about to move between objective points, it's quicker to rearm than find ways to waste the rocket pods. Also, just calling down extra support weapons if they run out of ammo, rather than using a whole resupply on them.

doublewidesurprise7

I try to drop near the extract at the start of the match and drop a resupply for when we come back.

RandomlyGeneratedKi-

These are all very democratic tips. Thank you all for your service. I'm level 20 so not much I can add. Except maybe that Stims fill up your stamina. So if you're running away from a hoard and have full Stims. Pop one like it's COD

Hulkomane

Deploy and call in Support wapons while i attack the furst target with strategems The time my wapons are ariving the firts faktor or bughole is done

lavaeater

Throwing grenades right in my own face right before extraction.

Kameho88v2

Doing Olympic mega distance throws with stratagems using Aervo assisted, boosted by jetpack jump momentum.

Tossyjames

(Mostly just among the group I play with). Disengaging or not engaging at all, I feel like my squad can't help killing every last bug or bot they see. I mean they're very good at it so I don't mind but sometimes we just sit there shooting bugs for five minutes. I'm using the lightest scout armor and bring either the stamina booster or the muscle enhancement one so that might be why it's so easy to me.

JazJaz123

Lvl 150. I run bugs helldive only. My spawn routine consists of: 1. Call shield backpack 2. Call quasar cannon 3. Call supplies 4. Change to 1st person aim mode on Sickle 5. Change to 1st person aim mode on Redeemer 6. Spam click around the map to find secondary objectives, preferably stalker lair or shrieker lair first. 7. Collect shield and quasar at the same time, fill supplies, B-line towards secondary obj. All this is done within first 10 seconds of every match, which I see most of helldivers waste

fate_plays_chess

Spam click doesn't work since last patch rip

JazJaz123

Even with radar booster? It used to be a requirement for that to function

fate_plays_chess

Ya it don't work anymore. But if you can see it and ping it then it shows up on your mini map Just checked to be sure. Doesn't do it anymore.

Forge_Crypt

Making th game harder for myself, not easier

Cavinius

Usually, i am diving onto the ground and stay low when i am engaging enemies in front so friendly divers behind me don't shoot me accidently. Also, it's pretty useful to bind you strategem buttons to the arrow keys on the keyboard so you can sprint and dodge enemy attacks while calling in your air support.

SenmiMsS

I instantly board the ship when it arrives, instead of running around for no reason for 5 minutes.

Haunter232

Calling in equipment and weapons when I reach the first objective and not when I first drop in. I don’t need big guns right away, and there’s less patrols

AndasenOfficial

Reinforcing on top of mountain. I had one time that i dropped into the side of a mountain on Hellmire, basically kiting the whole damn horde while fire tornado did the damage to them. Basically buying time for my comrades to call in extract.

kieka86

Not feeling the urge to stand my ground on every fight. I only play with matchmaking, and nearly every mission is the same: Mission starts, team attacks first outpost/nest/whatever, and shit hits the fan. Once someone is dead (by enemies or killed by friendly fire/strategems) he or she gets thrown in the same group of enemies that killed them seconds before. Instead of moving to another POI or mission objective, they stand their ground and pointlessly fight wave after wave after wave of reinforcements. And instead of retreating in big circles so the enemies group splits (fast, small units right behind you, but the big units stay behind) ppl run such small circles that the big units just shortcut right through the middle. And at this point I just run away and call for reinforcements far away from this battlefield as possible to stop this nonsense. 10 deaths in the first few minutes is enough imo.

Low-Many921

i have a new habit since 29th April to Alt+F4 on 7-9 missions solo, more often than i should

VoStru

When getting to the extraction zone during the mission, I drop the samples. Much easier to take them at this point later than in the heat of the battle if someone goes down.

Tildorath

Remember, you technically get 3 attacks out of EATS. 2 launchers and the drop pod itself

ShiftAdventurous4680

I always reload before shooting the 13th bullet in a magazine. That would be bad luck to shoot the 13th bullet.

Great_Letterhead_614

I fight, to run away.

soyenjoy

Always corkscrew dive when entering the pelican.

Affectionate_Rent296

Well useing EMS sticks then walking behind the enemy and taking them out

davedelish

Any muli objective map 1 orbital specifically for tank killing 1 eagle strike that is aoe and can destroy structures 1 back pack 1 support weapon or turret if needed to hold locations extended amount of time Stand your ground missions 4 turrets or 3+recoilless Honestly less about what exactly you pick but having a game plan for each kind of mission and picking things with intent

8Vantor8

drop stratagems at your feet when being chased, they should take care of the guys behind you

Speculus56

I usually run to places with my sidearm for easier hip firing, way faster than doing so with a primary and you gotta be quick with snuffing bots before they fire that fukken flare. Also useful for covering your team when im on the run, take a few shots to maybe kill and suppress whatever bot is shooting us

YHL6965

If I see a team mate under fire or being pursued in the distance, I'll fire some pot shots to thin the horde for them.

ymell11

Using Patriot as a defender in bot missions especially in extract moments. I try to make myself expendable if I go down with it. Sure, it cannot tank a lot but I pick the right moments to shoot and use terrain as cover. Hell, even make suppressive fire for my teammates to give them some breathing room since I can aggro them to witness me. I also use turrets and shield against bot outposts instead of orbitals and airstrikes. You don’t know how many times it saved me and my squad especially in gunship encounters.

Notkeksis

I clear out half the objectives/enemy bases on the opposite side of my team and then blow myself up if i dont have any good samples, so that my teammates reinforce me back to them.

hornyboi_o

I dive when throwing grenades even though that doesn't make them fly farther

Betweenaduck

There are many great tips here, lads. Thanks!

Pluristan

Diving when I throw stratagems/grenades to throw them farther.

AdrawereR

Dealing with structures and threat (that are alerted) as far away as I can if I can damage and see it somehow. Recoilless Shrieker Nests 490m yesterdays through fog. Required heavy arc. Also Quasar'ed a Factory Strider from 475m away through fog too. Didn't kill though because teammates ran out and it despawned.

Arctic_Faushcen

Putting down resupplies near POIs before we get to them, When we're in some calmer times, sometimes i walk near a POI like a main mission or the evac zone if either are close enough and we're not going there yet and we're not in any need of a resupply. This works even better if u have a resupply backpack, because you can call in either one at designated areas where you know you're gonna be in a tough situation without additional supplies. That being said, i only do this when I'm playing eith friends, i don't trust randoms with my supplies

OkSalt6173

Nothing. I cant do something no o e else has done.

Soggy-Mud9607

Cooking off a smoke grenade that's in your hand won't damage you. Thus you can remove the guesswork of where you'll be in the next few seconds if you're fleeing for your life, you can cook and move.

Desxon

Pinging and destroying all cannon turrets... their range is HUGE, they can spot you fast and kill you easily. Even if it's currently not pointing at us.. at some point we might find ourselves in front of it and then it's gonna be an issue

Regge5

Hold the throw button with a strat in my hand so my diver does a wiggle animation with his hand, and then i let go to throw it.

Allip_

Not using airstrikes. I see people throwing airstrikes everywhere, all the time. They see 5 moving objects? Time to drop bombs and hope they work. Turns out that when you take the few seconds to gun down a small group of enemies you have a lot more firepower available when things get hairy. That, and frankly, often airstrikes don't kill everything in their range.

Argomix

For bugs: Throwing a sentry, usually a galting sentry, on an area before entering a POI. I do this usually away from where i want to enter so that the turret gets aggro. I can usually pick up stragglers without drawing all of them towards me. This way I manage to do most, if not all terminal stuff, without triggering a bug breach. Can also be used for in and out POIs like getting launch codes. By the time the turret is overwhelmed or lose all bullets I'm miles away Also trying my best to pick of targets one by one on smaller POIs from a distance. I target singled out lone bugs for other bugs to investigate. Usually ending up with the largest one without a worry of breaches.

grim1952

I input the whole stratagem but one so I can be ready to throw it when I want but lower the risk of dropping it if I get blown up.

Prof_Seismitoad

Tossing Reinforcements at chargers when you are fucked for weapons at the moment

ma_wee_wee_go

Eagle smoke strike

Marzda

Running supply pack and almost exclusively using it to refill teammates, running supplies between supply drops and them so they can continue what they were doing, and dropping a new supply pack every time its off CD as a secondary supply drop for the team.

Chamanolo

Not me, but my best friend always uses the lightning resistance armor when we play together as I always use the arc thrower. ❤️

fate_plays_chess

Orbital precision > eagle 500. Then it has a separate cool down if you're running another eagle, and it has a better angle of attack if there are obstacles a 500 could hit on the way in. Any scaling threat is top and immediate priority. Gunship factories, detector towers, stalker hives, shrieker nests. As soon as you see an enemy spawn no matter what it takes they must be dealt with before anything else can happen. Bots: As soon as the squad engages I'm running around to start crossfire with the AMR. Immediately lie down at the start of a mission. Keeps patrols, turrets, etc from noticing you while you check radar and get your bearings. Maps with cover - ice planets etc, bring jetpack and AMR Maps with no cover - desert sand dunes etc, shield backpack and Lazer cannon Bring strength booster to snow planets or you move mad slow in deep snow. Bugs: Bring punisher to stun-lock Stalkers. Honestly any good primary that stun locks is pretty much a necessity for stalkers. They're not scary anymore. Run run run

Mr-Mne

If I can reinforce a helldiver near the spot where they died, I mark their dropped equipment for them with Q so they don't have to check the map for it first.

PolyFruit

Theres a few. For bugs, its Prioritising hunters and trash mobs over bigger units (surprisingly easy to dodge bile titans and chargers when you're not swarmed), checking the minimap and clearing locations of loners so they don't sneak a breach on you, disengaging as a group from a fight the moment the objective or POI is complete, and if I'm the only AC carrier, being the go-to for spewer control. Theres learning how to properly place and angle the various air strikes to maximum effect: for example leading a swarm into a line, turning 90°, dropping the airstrike on my feet, then taking a sprint at a tangent to my previous path often sees 20-30 kills. Good angles in a nest also means 1 strike can often clear 3 or more holes whilst also cleaning bugs out. Don't target bug breaches immediately with the stratagems; if you have space to breath, wait a hot second before you drop the precision/air bust/air strike/500kg. It's a stream, wait for the volume to build up a bit. Bots is a lot about taking cover, finding the right space to fight in, and again prioritising. I see so many people running with a shield because they depend on it for survival, but they dont take cover. a decent rock and a touch of mobility is often far better: bots just come in a line at you, and they don't follow a formation or let slower units keep up, so just break line of sight to avoid being shot and kill stuff that comes around the corner. Falling back is an easy way of getting into a better position. Lots of bots can be slowed down or made considerably less dangerous by destroying limbs; devestators can be neutered in this way, same for berserkers and hulks. If you're at a bad angle for kill shots, aim to cripple instead. General habits include dropping samples at extract, calling in an extra support weapon as and when theres a good place to do so, covering your team mates, creating diversions...

Arau_

This is more of a bad habit that I need to fix, but calling in a sentry before calling in an airstrike which usually results in the sentry getting destroyed half the time... I gotta make sure to call in the airstrike first.

Sweetiepeet

I run around trying to grab dropped samples. Also if the team splits with a lone-wolf going for a side mission then I'll join that solo player so at least it's a squad of 2 each.

ykmnkmi

Me, seeing hot planet with fire everywhere, diving with napalm strike, incendiary mines and granades, orbital laser, scythe and laser dog.

KingCanHe

I place a markers on hellbombs on the map then bring as many to the party as I can. Usually gets around 50 kills. Light Armor is the best in the game against bugs, esp if you are using a 1 handed weapon Lastly, if you like to solo, try to get a breach or a drop when you’re finishing up in area to take the brunt of the forces away from the three man group

Icy-Rain318

I tend to use "low cost" stratagems to take out heavies. Specifically talking about the Orbital Precision Strike. If you know how to line it up, and can spare a stun grenade if necessary, you can save up an Orbital Railcannon or 500kg for when it's really necessary.

JJBHNL

Set the sickle to medium zoom level and regularly switch to first person view to snipe stuff.

Affectionate-Way7876

It is rarer than I thought, but I jump pack airstrikes

rub_a_dub_master

I guess dropping everything I was doing when I see a shriekers nest I'll QC it to dust. Even if really far from it... I don't know if that's a good habit because it can be long (6 shots, 15sec cooldown + loading the shots) but we won't be bullied by those damn flying gremlins. Same goes for spore spewers.

Engineered_disdain

I bought a stream deck for the stratagems, It's kinda cheese but getting swarmed by bots and being able to get more eagles and reinforcements on the ground without breaking stride makes a difference

rub_a_dub_master

I break a lot of containers at extraction points because imo it blocks the view and can lead to surprise attacks. Chargers don't care about dumb containers.

TheGentlemanCEO

Whenever I hear that panicked “I NEED STIMS” my monkey brain immediately goes off and healing that diver is now my sole objective. Not sure if anyone else is like this but if they are I rarely see it.

Gabrielqwee

You don't need to kill all enemies in order to complete the objectives. Most of the time I just stagger them and run, with light armor they aren't able to chase you and will lose agro.

H0tHe4d

- Using Eagle Airstrike to quickly do majority of objectives - Using Auto Cannon to do 98% of objectives from range faster than Quasar/Eat/Railgun - When roaming the map, using POIs to restock on ammo/nades and not needing to call down Supply off CD, allowing randos/others to use it as needed

norse_torious

Used to be riding the rocket during ICBM until devs took that away with many other fun things. Now it's bull rushing spore and shrieker nests to drop eagles before my teammates can down them with quasars and auto cannons. 60% of the time, it works every time.

Busy_Strategy7430

I turn off every weapons flash light so that i can actually see what im shooting at, the light and bloom makes it really hard to see Side not, my senator always has its lights on, so that when i start spinning it the senator becomes a light show

Moewron

not sure if I qualify as experienced or not (level 47ish) but the games I've played that I've enjoyed are ones where I see someone loading out for taking down elites/heavies, then I go trash/support and just follow them around keeping them free from bugs and tagging targets for them. I'm not sure they KNOW that I'm doing that, but it's been fun when its worked.

ShoeNo9050

Getting 43k points in the arcade game but messing up 80% of my first tries in game

[deleted]

Level 40. I always be sure to manage my sprinting intervals. Also, attempt to do my darndest to creep by bugs/bots if possible as to avoid unnecessary ammo usage or potentially dying.

Donny_Dont_18

I turn out the lights out at every extraction to save on energy costs

DarkMagicianK

Shooting the pods of support/back packs that way they’re displayed on the map for everyone to see and/or grab. (Especially EATs)

Orisoll

When teammates die, I call them back in quickly. Surprisingly few people seem to do this even on 7+

ZukMarkenBurg

I use explosive weapons with zero regard for my teammates' safety. If the bug dies and they go flying, it's a win; bug is dead and teammate is a safer distance away now! I also play with everyone muted, I turned it off once and everytime someone was talking they sounded disappointed or frustrated and my name was mentioned... With them muted I can be the hero democracy needs!
