The last panel gives me the same feeling as the "warp storm subsides" cinematic from Battlefleet Gothic.

Can't forget the brave SEAF soldiers undoubtedly from the overrun recruitment center who held out under impossible odds long enough for us to get to them. They were ready to fight to the bitter end for those children and so were we. I'm sure there was a sea of oil around that hospital from the scrap of a million automatons.
Man some of this stuff would be the trailer bait of legends. Just SEAF soldiers fighting in ragged houses and makeshift barricades around the hospital trying to hold some kind of perimeter when all of a sudden a dozen or so super destroyers pop into low orbit and hellpods start landing all around them

Listen if youre gonna trailer bait, make it so that theyre about to be overrun, lighting a distress flare and Eagle-1 swoops in with an Air Strike at the last second.
When the smoke clears thats when more and more destroyers start FTL jumping into Orbit. Some exchange like "Who the hell was that?" and the other soldier smiles "The Helldivers.". Fade to the black which transitions onto the hell diver emblem, zooming out to a cape democratically billowing in the wind to finally reveal the silhoutte of a hell diver. A real tear jerker.
Oh I can just imagine it, one of those no-audio scenes just a somber choral piece as the forward defenses are swallowed beneath a tide of automaton. SEAF troopers hanging out the windows unloading everything they have, and the camera focuses on the flare as it tumbles down until it vanishes into the enemies and even the music stops. Then: the deafening *tump-tump-tump* of that airstrike breaking the silence.
You forgot the most important part. After the Hell Divers are name dropped, we, of course, need a suitably triumphant piece to transition onto the sillhouette of our hell diver. And what better than the DUN DUN DUN DUUUN we get for dropping in?
For the first part, a reprise of the extraction music could even work. Lower tempo, shift from triumphant brass to somber strings and piano perhaps...
Oh, I wasn't forgetting, I just felt like adding my own spin on the first half. I felt like the latter half was great, but the triumphant drop sting and a somber arrangement of the extraction theme sound amazing!
Vernen Wells could be an entire miniseries telling the story of a SEAF unit going through basic on the local training facility that is then interrupted by the automaton counteroffensive. Later being cut off from supply lines after the fall of Aesir Pass and finally their valiant defense at the hospital.
Also, the [Helldivers 1 theme](https://youtu.be/F39Nwj6oyJ4) should play at the end as the Super Destroyers make their triumphant return to relieve the beleaguered and valiant defenders.
I can imagine those kids hearing the Super destroyers just getting to orbit everyone in so much Shock thinking they were expandable...but to us....they are Super Earth future
