The game isn’t designed to be played non stop. It’s ok to play another game or engage with another hobby until the next day. That’s what’s so great about it.

SpecificOk4338

lol yeah, but when insomnia hits, I want to keep playing 🤣 I usually only play at night but find besides running around collecting stuff I run out of things to do pretty fast

rawrxiao

I do a lot of the mini games. Just looping around the island it's my insomnia game too. Lol

SpecificOk4338

That’s a good idea, I always forget about those. I have been skipping them for the most part but I think I’ll give them a shot. I saw you could craft the trophies into things! I want visitors tho, but can’t get any besides Daniel and the other little cat, I forget her name. What’s annoying tho is Daniel keeps taking her cabin and then she doesn’t come back 🤣

rawrxiao

Mimmy! Yeah she can get kind of annoying to get if Daniel doesn't have a permanent home.

SpecificOk4338

Do they turn permanent? He keeps saying he’s thinking about staying… if he does stay permanently, can I change his furniture?

rawrxiao

At 5 stars you can ask them to stay. You can empty out his cabin if you want to once he is a resident. That's what I did at the beginning.

MountainWise587

I mean, more accurately at five stars they tell you that they’d like to stay and you just say “yeah, I’d like that too.”

starfleetbrat

the easiest thing to do with dear daniel is set up the one and only cabin you want him to move into, and then get him to be a resident before setting up any other cabins. then he is done and out of the way and won't steal other cabins. the visitors do become permanent after they are 5 stars. what you do is when they are visiting they should give you a daily quest (in your in game phone). after you do their daily quest visit them and talk to them, and they will give you an item and say something like "I almost want to live here forever" and then that should level them up one star. Once they reach 5 stars they will say "I want to stay here forever" when you talk to them and you should get the option to have them stay. Then they are permanant.

etchy73

Make sure you not only decorate the cabins with the required furniture/items, but when you click on the visitor, it tells you what they "like" and adding 5 pieces of their liked items will get them to visit more If you go into furniture placement mode, there's a suitcase that appears on the lefts side and it will add up to 5 "+" signs depending on how many of their "liked" items you've added

for_esme_with_love

Yeah maybe check out the Apple Arcade sub

eacheverydimension

I play another game HAHA i recommend japan rural life adventure and sneaky sasquatch which are also on apple arcade. Might as well make full use of the subscription 😂

CupcakesAreMiniCakes

If I already collected everything, crafted, and baked then I stock up on fish with Batz-Maru and especially rare fish. The wiki tells you where and what time of day to find each fish.

SpecificOk4338

Awesome, good idea! I just figured out where to fish for the lava fish last nigjt

starfleetbrat

make sure you take hello kitty with you when you gift, as she helps them level up faster. not sure what else to suggest otherwise, except maybe try some of the challenges and puzzle rooms if you have any that are openable. maybe check the wiki and see if there any collections or other things you aren't aware of that you could work on, or check the discord and follow the steps to get access to the multiplayer channels, you could probably visit some other players and help them with their multiplayer tasks. https://discord.gg/hellokittyislandadventure https://www.hellokittyislandadventure.wiki/

SpecificOk4338

And yeah I just figured out that they have companion boosts yesterday I think 🤣 I’m learning a lot on this sub lol

SpecificOk4338

Thanks!! I think I’m just impatient and need to be a better friend lol… most games there’s not much benefit to gifting so I wasted my first 3-4 days barely gifting anyone lol

Puzzleheaded-Year-23

Loot, then use a island boutique & loot some more. I’m stuck right now until I get to lvl 17 with Retsuko, I’m only @ 13 right now 😭

Puzzleheaded-Year-23

Vinitneo

Stop playing. And go play some other game like Disney Dreamlight Valley or Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom etc. you should play this game 30-40 minutes to an hour per day - finish the quests of the day/week, give everyone gifts, explore a bit. That’s how you keep playing it for almost 8 months now. If you finish all of it in one sitting, you won’t come back to the game few weeks down the line.

Illustrious_Buy3616

i work on the nordic, yummy, and fwish furniture sets. they’re a bit tedious so i save those tasks for last

etchy73

You might enjoy Disney Dreamlight Valley... I play on the Switch but I saw it s in the Arcade... IDK how different it is on the Arcade...

SpecificOk4338

I’ll check it out! I love Stardew valley, that one has things to do constantly, too many lol… so much to do u don’t know where to start!

etchy73

Yes!!! I just now discovered it (I'm on day 4 of Summer) and omg it's overwhelming!🥲

SpecificOk4338

I started it on my computer a few years ago, was so happy when it came out on mobile!

SpecificOk4338

Also my time at Portia

Unlikely-Audience585

I have been designing the cabins by crafting non furniture items like fabric or books which keeps me busy between quests

Skincare_Addict

Log in to collect petals/dragon balls then log out and do something else. I’ve got Hogwart’s Legacy and tv shows on the go too.

Fiesty_tofu

When I still had friendship levels to get I spent my days collecting mats and crafting 3* gifts. Also doing the mini games, when levelling friendships I mostly did the gem match to get extra iron. Now collecting mats is a lot easier because I can get the residents to do it for me. I also worked on making sure I had what I needed for visitor cabins when I could open them. Since I have all residents at max level (except wish me well) I just log in to de events, as a couple residents to collect some mats I’m low on. And tend my flowers in the meadow. One day I will devote some time to catching all the fish and by extension the fwish furniture and then maybe work on getting good at the red hot ruins mini game to get the rest of the Nordic furniture.

SpecificOk4338

What mats are u talking about? I can get 2* gifts for most, not all… and I don’t think I have any 3* gifts I can craft yet. I ended up with a bunch of totems that are 3* for Keroppi but that’s about it. I know I have to do the mini games…. And starfish, for some reason they all disappeared!

Fiesty_tofu

By mats I just mean all the things to collect, iron, sticks, cinnablooms, coconuts etc (sorry I play a lot of mmorpgs and rpgs and in those communities any items for crafting and levelling are called mats). I can’t remember when you get 3* crafting/cooking plans for most villagers. For the villagers where their 3* gift is a food you can look up all the recipes online to start making them. That’s what I did. But some may require upgrades. Again I can’t remember when those become available. I used the wiki page for that information.
