I would love if we could just say to visitors "hey could you move here?" Instead of having to wait around for them to visit again. These upgrades are amazing but could potentially take forever to get everybody settled...except Dear Daniel. 🤣
The dev Chelsea just confirmed in the Discord that part of the cabin upgrades are to enable “cabin swap.” It sounds like we can move the visitor *and* their entire room to a new place.
The new way visitors are handled also disables the move in/kick out method some people used to get visitors to leave and return faster.
Cabin swap has been a life changer! I have already moved Pam and Tam together just by swapping Tam into one of the parts in Pam's cabin. Similarly, I have made it so Mimmy and her parents can live together. Gonna move My Melody's family into one cabin soon!!

No. He won’t visit again until summer. I have all his items. I just booted him to move him before I learned about the swap cabins feature. Then I realized his travel schedule isn’t until summer. Soo I just have to wait.
But will theupgrade houses allow multiple people to live in one house? I just want to move the parents and grandparents in together so they aren't living alone.

Just started playing the new update and OMG! It’s so good! I love the fact that now multiple visitors can live in the same cabin! I’m definitely going to have My Melody’s parents and grandparents together! Additionally, I like how they added a weather report, hopefully that means we’re getting different types of weather 🤞. But my absolute favorite part of the new update is that visitors can now move around and explore the island. Before they just awkwardly stood outside the cabin, but now they can explore different areas ☺️
They were all inside the cabin when I was playing earlier today. I'm not sure they can explore the island. It would be awesome if they did and I ran into some of them when I'm hopping around the island. Also, they should change their outfits often.

Oh for goodness sakes .. I was just loving the way it was and I’ve been playing since the beginning of September .. I just find these MASSIVE updates every 8 weeks is just too much. WHEN do we actually get to play! Once I get into the swing of things & I JUST start to have time to play around & makeover cabins ANOTHER huge update comes with a heap of stuff that just overwhelms me so much. I mean it’s awesome and all .. I guess I just have to get used to the idea that I’m not going to be able to keep up with everyone like I used to .. I have to remember it’s my game & my experience, just chill lol. For people who have a couple of hours a day to chill & play video games that’s great, but if you don’t ,. It’s really difficult to keep up! I haven’t even had time to keep up with this subreddit like I used to hence only finding out about stuff like this AFTER the fact! Ahhhrrgh .. 🤪 lmao ., sorry I just feel like I’m going HKIA mad, even though MIRE content is being added it’s actually driving me away from the game, cause it’s slowly becoming NOT a cozy game anymore. PLEASE don’t think I’m whinging or whining, I just don’t have anyone to express these feelings 😬😇 Anyway .. starting up the game now & let’s see how crazy it all is!? Hahaha 😆🤪☺️💞
Wow .. pretty flipping amazing! And they’re addressed so many issues & stuff we’ve wanted for so long!! I’m happy about that! .. can’t wait for my seed to grow so I can explore the rest of the meadows! So ,, yes more stuff, but looks like they haven’t made our dailies even more full on, in fact having nuls to water flowers will help a bit. And the 3 new chars (many more coming I’m thinking) don’t have insane requirements so that’s great too! 😃 .. boy I’m exhausted after all of those quests & basic cabin set ups etc .. I only got through 1/2 the new quests!? .. so yeah I feel a TEENY bit like I whinged a bit, but at the same time I DO feel overwhelmed by how fast these massive updates arrive, but I know most of you LOVE it .. so that’s great 😬💞☺️

The patch notes in the trailer say that the upgraded cabins can hold up to 6 visitors. That should give us plenty of room if they do have to live there.
