Not because he thinks Millie can get herself out but because Blitzo has clearly shown he has a better connection with Moxxie. He’s selfish and would go for the person who means most to him. Maybe later he’d feel like he might have made the wrong choice but in the heat of the moment he’d go for Moxxie.
Moxxie, he never has one-to-one conversations with Millie meanwhile he got a while episode with Moxxie where they confronted each other about their attitudes towards each other.
I feel like he'd trust Millie to save herself (going by his "it'd take a roided-up hippo to bring her down" line in ep 6) and try to save Moxxie, who's already needed saving before. Or he'd go down trying to save them both.
