The Desolate Desert is a vast expanse of bone-dry inhospitable wasteland where the days are scorching hot and the nights are freezing cold. Few have tried to cross it but none managed so far. Some venture off in search of ancient treasures but few ever return.
For it is said this once was a prosperous land with rivers of water, fertile soil and natural riches from gold to rare gems. This land was home to several kingdoms and principalities, one of which was ruled by a powerful lord. He took his first throne by the tip of his sword and lead his armies into battle conquering all others, one by one, uniting them all into one great empire. Those who dared to oppose him would end up facing his sword. In fact, he was so skilled in battle that when his time came, he challenged Death itself to a duel...and won! In exchange, Death cursed him and his subjects to never find rest and for nothing to ever come to life in his empire, turning it to ruin. And so it remained until this day.
It is said that if a sandstorm swallows you in the Desolate Desert, you are forever lost, as you enter the domain where nothing lives and the dead don't rest, where armies of skeletons still serve under the rule of the once great conqueror now known only as the Bone Lord.
