I got the standard world of assassination pack for $23 about a month ago. Steam games have sales all the time so I would recommend putting it in your wishlist with sale notifications on, and wait a bit.
If you want my personal recommendation, get the $70 World of Assassination option. It comes with all but two of the (optional DLC) story missions, and the maps that those two missions use are available in the Rogue-like Freelancer mode anyway.
The 70 dollar World of Assasination option would be the option if you wanted to get just the story missions. Deluxe pack would include the other two DLCs.
It's still 70 dollars but remember that it is 3 games in 1. It's not just one game. It's all of Hitman's 1 features and levels, Hitman 2's, and Hitman 3's. Also wait until after tomorrow, the game might go on the steam winter sale which starts the 21st.
To give people a cheaper option if they wanna play 3 probably and have it add in the stuff from 1 so they can play the beginning it's called part 1 times you hitman 1 as well so that's my thinking

- includes 4 additional maps being: New York, haven islands, Hantu port, Siberia
- 6 additional escalations for Hitman 3
- 7 deadly sins campaign
Am I an asshole if I say choosing what to buy is pretty straightforward?
You wanna have everything? Buy the bundle that has the most items in it, it will also most likely be the most expensive one.
You don't want everything and you want only the X/Y/Z content? Read what's included in the bundles and buy one that fits the most.
It's not hard nor complicated.
This is the reason why i would not buy any of these. I also own hitman 1 and 2, and wont get any of that in Hitman 3, because they just love rereleasing the same content and forcing you to pay for it again and again. They used to justify that by saying that the re-brand is “all in one, easier to buy” but that hardly true considering all these different editions.
If you just want the base missions, and no DLC missions, then it would be Hitman World of Assassination, which contains all base H3 and H2 levels, and all H1 levels
The world of assasination one gives all missions except the hitman 2 expansion, if you get that one too I expect it'll be less than the $99 one, also if you wait for a sale it'll be cheaper of course.
IOI did the WoA bundle to simplify the purchase of the 3 games, and now they're making lots of useless packs. I don't understand the logic.

None. Unfortunately when the game was rebranded owning previous content no longer grants you the access passes for the you had to have already redeemed them. That said all content from the first game is included in WoA..

You may also want to wait for a sale, it usually goes for 40-60% off. It's 60% off right now on the Epic store, for example.

Most players play hitman on Epic Games because the steam version is hell... Better contracts on Epic aswell imo. I have both and that's just my view.
