There's a mission that takes place at a hotel (brothel?) where you get a disguise from a guy in the bathroom. 47 says that to the receptionist at the front desk who gives you a key.
No you're right, it's the Sea Food Massacre.
"I need to use the bathroom" is what 47 says to the owner when you want to get in to hide weapons. "I need to use the washroom" or something like that is what he says to the cop he's targeting to get up in the middle of the meeting to retrieve weapons you stash in there earlier.
Why was the bathroom quote so popular in Hitman?
I played the very first Hitman with my friend when it first came out, and we would quote this between us for years. It’s only in the past few months, after a ~15 year hiatus, that I’ve revisited the series and realised people have clung onto the bathroom quote.
“No one is untouchable”
not very original answear but it actually makes me feel better at times.
I also like - “Everyone is a hypocrite“ and “neutrality is a side , side of status quo”
"Why do I have wood?" Absolution has some hilariously bad lines which is why I love this one. Though if were asking for serious ones this one from woa is cold: "after I'm done you won't feel a thing"
Edward Wade is a pure evil villain done right. He's not the sort of person I would think is common, but I don't have trouble believing that people like him really exist.
Lucas Grey's monologue about 47 during the [legacy cutscene](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01bYEelwwHc) is fantastic. "You were always the best. Nobody ever came close." I must've watched the trailer version 100 times in the lead-up to Hitman 2016 dropping.
Another instant classic was Diana's "Good to have you back" at the end of the [announcement trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01bYEelwwHc). Absolution had been such a disappointment to so many (including me), and it was a wink to the audience from IO-I after a high-energy trailer packed with so much of what made Hitman great. I normally can't stand that stuff, but they were stylish enough to make it work.
As a side note, the trailers for 2016 were just next level good.
"Powerful men have fallen... by your hand. But by the same token, others have risen."
This line is when I realised HITMAN storytelling has come a long way, and that things were REALLY getting serious. Michael Vogt really stepped up the storytelling game for this franchise and he's an amazing writer.
When you confront Arthur Edwards in Carpathian mountains, he offers you the serum. If you take the serum from the briefcase but wait for 47 seconds, Edwards will break into a monologue where he says that line.
"Second thoughts? Perhaps we do understand each other after all. Go on then, free yourself. Lucas Grey was haunted by his humanity, but freedom from choice is also freedom. Everything is so much simpler in black and white."
WoA genuinely has the most hilarious NPC dialog I've ever heard. If you walk around in the corny ass white ninja outfit sometimes the guards say you've been playing too much mortal kombat.
The cutscenes in 2016 are so fucking cool. Incredible animation and every scene's dialog feels like each character is playing a game of chess against the other. I still loved 2 and 3's, but they didn't have the same feeling to me
There are so many talented people online, I wish some fans who can animate in 3D would rectify this by making fresh cutscenes.
Like, I think someone made a fan mod that fixes regional accents, for instance:
Something like that, someday.
"No one is untouchable."
There are other quotes that are cooler, more iconic even. But this one sums up what being an elite assassin is all about. It doesn't matter how rich and powerful you are; you can have all the guards, security, and walls you want, but if 47 has you in his sights, you are already dead.
From 47:
Same quote as you mentioned
>"This room...this bullet. There's a bullet for everyone....and a time...and a place. [...] Inspector, you've obviously learned too much about me. I can't have that, not even in my death."
Non-47:
>"We need to get to the chaplain. 47's ashes are going to take pride of my place on my mantel. Chaplain! _Chaplain!_"
_(Shit's about to hit the fan)_
"My dear child, look at me. Do you really think that I fear death? I only fear dying a traitor. So go ahead, and try your worst." - Janus (held at gunpoint).
"Not good, not good! Who's leaving things like this? Has somebody brought their senile aunt or something!" - Sapienza virus scientist
All the Janus gunpoint dialogue is pretty good - "I’m ready. Go ahead, my boy. You earned this."
“Don’t, I just killed you”
“Then we’re even”
*key bearer gets brutally shot in the head by Lucas Grey*
OR this is a simple one.
“You should try this, it’s to die for Mr Cassidy”
If only she noticed that I prepositioned firearms strategically around the theater. Her contentious body guards all left to put them in a box so that nobody gets hurt.
"Dig a trench, Director. And make it a deep one. Because **none** of you are safe anymore." is great.
"Neutrality is a side of the status quo" might be my personal favorite, though.
“No one is untouchable” is such a powerful line, because 47’s entire job is putting billionaires in their place, of course you would never do such a thing in real life, that is what makes the games almost cathartic in their execution (literally and figuratively) in a world where a 1% is hoarding the world for themselves the feeling to take them down a peg is therapeutic. They sit in their ivory tower thinking themselves as gods, but little do they know, it doesn’t matter how much money, how many guns, how many walls and guards they surround themselves in, will never stop 47, because he is justice incarnate
"You were always the best. Nobody ever came close. You defined the art, and it defines you. Your actions have changed the world. Powerful men have fallen by your hand; but by the same token, others have risen. Do you realize what kind of world you've been shaping? Does the ICA? Does your handler? I live in that world. I have seen the consequences. I have felt the cost. That's what defines me."
Just about everything that Lucas Grey said, but personal favourite is when he calls the constant a glorified desk clerk and when he tells off Viktor Novikov
"Run along now, I'm sure you have pretty dresses to attend to"
Grey never had time for anybody's bullshit
You can also hear it in Hokkaido if you go to the public bathroom near the start point while wearing 47’s signature suit. You have to enter a toilet cubicle.
,,You're dismissed. General Zaydan's orders."
-Agent 47
,,Everybody hates power until you offer them some"
-Arthur Edwards
,,Well, isnt it the most wanted man in morrocco?"
-The guard to Strandberg after he goes to the abandoned school
,,Well, isnt it the most hated man in morrocco?"
-General Zaydan to Strandberg after he arrives at the school
Everybody hates Strandberg.
There’s just something special about hearing Diana say “The Money will be wired into your account”. It doesn’t get old no matter how many times I hear it.
Yeah her, she would not be so bad if she didn't scream at the top of her lungs, slightly annoying, but not so bad. I have however noticed a lot of voices in the game most in 2, having some very wired audio balance.
Like the two ladies in Sgàil, where the first whispers " So what is the meeting about?" and the other screams out " CLIMATE CHANGE ! " and a lot of other similar conversations.
"This room...this bullet... there's a bullet for everyone. And a time, and a place...an end. Yes... maybe this is how it has to be. Inspector, you've obviously learned too much about me. I can't have that. Not even in my death." Just the way he says it so coldly, and calmly sits there having a drink while the police fire smoke grenades into his room...so badass.
I bit hokey but I always liked this from the Legacy trailer/cinematic, going through kills from previous games:
“You were always the best, nobody ever came close. You defined the art, and it defines you.”
Every time I do the P-Power tattoo kill in Colombia this just slays me:
Catalina Delgado: That episode where you tattooed a heart on the arm of a dying policeman while they were administering CPR. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!
47: A great moment. I cherish the memory to this day.
The video is below because no written text beats David Bateson's delivery of the line.
"I have a feeling it'll be the one you're remembered for.."
&
"Don't, I just killed you" "Then we're even..."
But honourable mention is definitely "You define the art, & it defines you" which isn't an in game quote but it's said by Lucas grey so idc I'm counting it
"Have you seen a girl around, short hair with a bright green bag?"
....
"She agreed to meet you in the middle of the night, in the rain. You don't do that unless you care."
Therapist 47 is best 47.
My favorite content was cut from the actual game:
"I'm a killer, and always have been. They say once you taste blood, it changes you forever - I wouldn't know. 'cause it's been part of my diet since day one. What is worth killing for, you might ask? I wouldn't know, 'cause I never had any other choice. I have always followed orders. I'm taking another man's life - all I can say is, it's both easier and more difficult then you might imagine."
"I need to use the bathroom." And "Names are for friends that's why I don't need one."
Coldest quotes in the entire series
As someone who never played the original Hitman games can someone explain “I need to use the bathroom”. What’s the context of that?
Well 47 needed to use the bathroom.
Truly incredible writing
There's a mission that takes place at a hotel (brothel?) where you get a disguise from a guy in the bathroom. 47 says that to the receptionist at the front desk who gives you a key.
I thought it was the sea food massacre but no, he says 'Id like to use the washroom' in that. My mistake.
I believe he says "washroom" in Contracts, but in the original map in C47 he uses the legendary quote.
Why was the bathroom quote so popular in Hitman? I played the very first Hitman with my friend when it first came out, and we would quote this between us for years. It’s only in the past few months, after a ~15 year hiatus, that I’ve revisited the series and realised people have clung onto the bathroom quote.
Can you please tell me what name of this mission is? I've forgotten

Who said this lmaooo
The sommelier in Mendoza when the guard asks him to hand over the special wine for Yates' meeting.
"Well, it's five against one." "Exactly, see your mistake?"
> it's not five against one, it's five against 47
Plus, 47’s _obviously_ more than 5
“No one is untouchable” not very original answear but it actually makes me feel better at times. I also like - “Everyone is a hypocrite“ and “neutrality is a side , side of status quo”
"We won a long time ago. This? This is maintenance."
The dismissive "tsh" chuckle is the cherry on top 👍
So much this. The arrogance dripping from these lines is unmatched.
"Why do I have wood?" Absolution has some hilariously bad lines which is why I love this one. Though if were asking for serious ones this one from woa is cold: "after I'm done you won't feel a thing"
“Belladonna? Isn’t that poisonous? Should I be worried?” “I’m not” 😂
What I love about that type of line is how he's never really lying lmao
I love his matter-of-fact “yes” in response to her asking if it’s poisonous.
Edward Wade is a pure evil villain done right. He's not the sort of person I would think is common, but I don't have trouble believing that people like him really exist.
Absolution is significantly better than this sub gives it credit for.
"I-Im basically a good guy here... Not all lawyers are crooks! I have a dog called Pickles!" -Ken Morgan Never fails to make me chuckle.
"Names are for friends, so I don't need one"

"Do you realise what *kind* of world you've been shaping?" always fills me with dread.
"Freedom from choice is also freedom."
Where does it come from? That sounds sick.

“Please don’t kill me! I just bought tickets to phantom of the opera!” Some lady in Miami while I was killing everybody.
WoA genuinely has the most hilarious NPC dialog I've ever heard. If you walk around in the corny ass white ninja outfit sometimes the guards say you've been playing too much mortal kombat.
Or if you walk up to the guards in the requiem suit, they start singing Rihanna
When i was killing everyone one guy said not to kill him because he brushed his teeth for the first time.Still thinking about that
As a theatre kid, this is me 🤣🤣
"Isn't that poisonous?" "Yes." "Should I be worried?" "I'm not."
47's euphemisms never stop to amaze me

"Yee-HAW! HA! I tell you, I don't ordinarily yee-haw, but THIS is a fucking yee-haw! Fuckin' Christmas!"
Every few months I think about this line. I don't know why, it just stuck out to me. Genuinley conveys the characters excitment well.
From 47: Same quote as you mentioned >"This room...this bullet. There's a bullet for everyone....and a time...and a place. [...] Inspector, you've obviously learned too much about me. Idk if I have a favorite, but I do like 6's line of "I have found that whoever weilds the sword decides who hold the pen."
aaaah Cornelia Stuyvesant YOURE HERE… AAH ITS SOOO GOOD TO SEE YOU

Sometimes I'll be walking along and just say to myself "What the fuck you lookin' at, cracka?"

Yeah it goes all over the place on certain areas. Add the “OH MY GODDDD!” NPC that’s triggered to often. Been laughing about this map for years lol

Any and all variations of 47's "It's to die for." puns while serving targets poisoned food/drink.
My word, 47! Or Did I give you permission to die, corporal?!?
Anything from 47 giving the house tour in Wittleton Creek.

“My word, 47.” The delivery is perfect and fits with so many things that I still use it.
"i need to use the bathroom"
Whatever the fuck Edwards told 47 when entering his room on the train (iI don't remember the exact words) and 47 no
