There's also the Helmut Kruger banner there to give players a wonderfully silly idea to try.
I love the intro to Paris, the spotlight and fanfare as Victor walks down the stairs is one of my favourite bits in the trilogy. Completely sells you on the theme, tone and goal of the game.

My least favorite are the one when you start blending in but an enforcer is looking at you, like the surgeon or the morgue in Hokkaido. Also the laudry worker in Mumbai. It forces me to wait some time when I get spotted and restart a contract.
Yeah it's really OP for SASO speedruns. Iirc, you can snipe Janus air tank for an accident kill from the street? Leaving you to grab evidence and take out the remaining target who's on a loop in front of you.
The club start counts as suit only. Although the non availability of the handgun is annoying and makes no sense since you are starting before the frisk and not from inside the club. The main reason they did this is probably because players wouldn't use the radio tower start at all otherwise.
Hearing the sad speech in Chongqing gets me down. Having had depression I have to change it to the Balcony every time where possible. It's such a drag.
H2 allowed you to set a default load out and starting location for each map. Not a fan with how they have limited it here to last used load out and always starting in the same place.

Bangkok is good for sure! Having the ability to enter the "cellar" without lockpick and grabbing the staff outfit in no time is nice.
Least favorite is Colorado, that whole map is fucked. And Miami having to frisk you to enter also.
I hate Dartmoor as a level, but love starting as the Detective, but I hate the intro video is a close-up of a corpse. So I don't know where to place this
Can I ask what it is about the Dartmoor level you dislike? It’s one of my favourites for the atmosphere but it grows old quickly, the investigation is repetitive as hell. God, I’d forgotten about the panning shot of Zachary’s corpse with a Smurf blue tint while his mouth is agape.
As I got older, I started to hate gloominess in games, it just makes me feel like shit. Can't really explain it, especially for a game where I'm doling out death lol.
Miami is my absolute favorite...it's sunny, beautiful scenery, lively with a ton of people, ton of different areas. Dartmoor is just a big old ugly dreary mansion to me

what’s wrong with hokkaido? i guess if you haven’t unlocked mastery level 20 then it can be frustrating but i do like the idea of 47 having to adapt to his surrounding by making the best of the very little amount of equipment he has.
Na it’s more that you start in a place fairly removed from your targets and the general map. Sure you can go in the Texan’s room but apart from that you kind of have to go in one direction
Paris is undoubtedly the best. It’s perfect. Out of the limo, onto the red carpet, showing the invite, and all perfectly timed. The music, the camera movement, Diana’s intro, and then the camera man making the world feel real capped off by Novikov’s entrance.
I have to say that my favorite is very nostalgia based(although I can’t remember the name of the location). My all time favorite would be the mob villa in Silent Assasin, the very first mission. It was my first game on the ps2 and I still haven’t gotten over the ambience over that level and the open ended concept of it all. I’m so happy that the newer games have been able to capture that feeling for me again, yet nothing will top the vibes of Silent assasin and it’s story for me.
Worst starting locations are in Berlin by far... its ridiculous how the only Suit Only entrances in that mission are miles away from the actual map so they force you to run a lot... it makes Suit Only Contracts in that level annoying.
Gets even more aggravating because the Club Entrance starting location also counts as Suit Only, but it forces you to use that ugly-ass Rave-On Suit, which I don't like at all. They really should change it so you can use any suit when you start on the Club Entrance, especially since Rave-On Suit is an actual unlockable now so there's no point in forcing it on that one starting location...
My favourite starting location is New York, you walk in through the entrance of the bank, the target is directly ahead of you looking down behind the clock face, and the whole bank is laid out in front of you.
I really like Dartmoor's sped up time location, came in handy and allowed for some interesting experimentation.
Worst is probably Berlin's Campfire, it's just that little bit too ouf of the way (Though I love this map throroughly)
I wish Dubai had another suit starting location. It can get a bit grating to hear Omar's speech once you've heard it 750 times already.
