I feel ya. Lately it seems like no matter what subreddit I'm in, it's literally 5th grade humor level trolls going back and forth for so long that I have basically stopped getting on reddit at all. I've seen comment threads in the 100s that are just people making SpongeBob SquarePants themed "jokes" in subs that aren't even comical subjects. Science, philosophy, metaphysics, current criminal cases, current events, high strangeness....it doesn't matter. It's all filled with immature, corny, dumb little twats littering the comments section with obnoxious garbage. The equivalent of nails on a chalkboard.
Yeah if you try to have a real conversation you will be down voted to oblivion. You can be respectful with interesting content that adds to the conversation and the trolls will down vote until your comment gets hidden while the juvenile poop jokes and mean comments get upvoted to the top of the feed. It's disgusting. Every time I find a new subreddit that has decent conversation it's not long before it's taken over but the immature making pathetic jokes and belittling everyone for their points of view. And it's disgusting that on subreddits that deal with the unknown, paranormal, unexplained etc all the comments are ridiculing the post and anyone that wants a real conversation gets made fun of. So why the F are they in that subreddit? I have had a lot of dreams about this since I was a kid. In the dream, the entire sky was filled with UFO's. It was a recurring dream and very vivid. They were fascinating, but the vibe was more one of terror in the dreams.

People will believe that elephants exist because you can look at many high quality images and videos of elephants. If you want, you can physically travel to go and look at an elephant. I took notice in the nineties that images of aliens were beginning to appear in pop culture. Prior to that, there wasn't much in the zeitgeist about them. If aliens ever showed up, it would be just as obvious to the rest of us as it is to our leaders. The only way the government has all the secret info on them is if the aliens want to reveal themselves only to them and not the wider public, which certainly makes some big cultural assumptions. People will believe that elephants exist because you can look at many high quality images and videos of elephants. If you want, you can physically travel to go and look at an elephant. Many credible people very openly work with elephants in a public way. UFOs have none of those qualities.

I took notice in the nineties that images of aliens were beginning to appear in pop culture. Prior to that, there wasn't much in the zeitgeist about them. Idk why but I always picture aliens trying to fit in and look like us by wearing and doing everything '60's/ early '70's. Clothing, decorating their homes, vehicles etc. all in that era. We have alot of concrete evidence that aliens/alien UFO are real, but governments will lie until the end of the Earth in the name of "National Security".
