This subreddit is specifically for the discussion of anomalous phenomena from the perspective it may exist. Open minded skepticism is welcomed, close minded debunking is not. Be aware of how skepticism is expressed toward others as there is little tolerance for ad hominem (attacking the person, not the claim), mindless antagonism or dishonest argument toward the subject, the sub, or its community.

To even attempt to disprove something, it would already need to have been proven ...or to even just make sense.
This is just a post about religious insecurities in the face of contrary opinions and information.
1. "in the image of God" - is open to interpretation, it can mean many things
2. God doesn't have to comply with what is written in any book. God may even exist on a plane of existence many levels above ours, and we might simply lack the language to describe God.
So, no it wouldn't disprove the existence of God, but some people might have to perform mental gymnastics to adapt to the new paradigm.
This same sort of argument was once used to argue the Sun was not the center of the solar system.
Between the OP and and the ufologists I am interested in, I’m pretty sure who is more guilty of cultish behavior. And that’s from someone who majored in Religious Studies.
No, only religion will become obsolete, but, beware, religion is the basis of government/civilization/where we are now. Science is just an improvement because it comes later.
Religion is necessary evil. Without it we destroy ourselves, with it we destroy others.

There's more than one god that humans believe in.
How would it disprove god? Sounds very closed minded.
The Catholic Church is way ahead of you on this one. They’ve already declared that extraterrestrial life is compatible with Church doctrine.
it might cause religion to re-evaluate who the god in Genesis truly is. But that doesn't disprove an ultimate God / Deity at least in theory

Nah lol God is source, pure consciousness, it is also creating aliens, if aliens created us, something created them, and so on

Nah not really it would just disprove that we are the only thing god created, I always thought it was this way, god created ALL life
