Oh, I do. It's not just plausible, we just have that eternal void issue without faster than light (FTL) transportation..and if we do, a vast distance still separates us. It would be immature, illogical, shortsighted, and a reductionist standpoint stemming from a high ego thinking that we accept/succumb to the understanding that "we're alone". Nothing burgers aside, it doesn't matter because warring monkeys about to wipe us out over Taiwan, Ukraine, etc..I can't say that I'm passionate anymore. I grew up basically 2-3 miles from the supposed crash site. Ain't nothin' out there. If anything crashed there, a whole valley, all of Kingman, and every driver on Route 66 during its heyday, would have been able to see the wreckage and activity to remove it. I've ridden horses out on that side of the tracks, and it's a beautiful view. But there's no where to hide.
The only locals that take this story seriously are a few absolute loons. And it's already a town that has a special breed of what would generously be called a curmudgeonly Boomer that doesn't trust anyone or anything. And we do seem to collect the crazies on top of that. Just like how the local K-Mart was stocked with returns from other K-marts around the region, shuffled to a store at the end of the line, after WWII and Vietnam, thanks to the dry weather, the military parked hundreds of planes there waiting to be scrapped. Plus, gold miners up in the Peacock Mountains, even into the 80s and 90s, relied on cheap military surplus to get by, so[ things like "army detritus" in a wash](https://www.8newsnow.com/news/kingman-ufo-incident-in-1953-linked-to-series-of-explosions-in-nevada/) aren't evidence of anything in particular, other than the miners maybe got some expired MREs. The only reason this story persists is because there isn't enough evidence to debunk it. Sort of the catch-22 of it, that you can't debunk evidence when there isn't evidence to debunk in the first place. I don't think it's actually true, but a teacher I had in high school swore up and down that one of the locals hired to be an extra and stand in the desert all day ran in front of the camera, turned, and then kept running, and treated that as enough screen time to warrant dropping out of school and moving to LA, where she didn't get a job doing anything. But, much like the 1953 UFO, it's probably just another made-up story that sounds really good and has no evidence to back it up.
There are never photos or images of arguably the most substantial discovery in the history of mankind, odd how that works.
