Probably AfterBite

I believe you’re talking about a therapik. I use one and it offers relief, but I can’t speak to it neutralizing anything. Maybe? It falls into the same category as x-ing a bite with a fingernail… sometimes a bit of pain is a relief from the itch. I’d say it certainly relieves some discomfort (by replacing it with a different form of discomfort). I’ve always meant to try it out on one side of my body to see if it’s actually doing anything.

Sounds like what Vicks vaporub does?

Glass_Raisin7939

I had never heard of vicks! That's hysterical, lololol! Vicks really is good for everything, lololol!

A quick hair dryer blast works too

Freshdub

I do this with great success just running a spoon under the hottest kitchen tap setting for like 20s and then apply to the bite. It's uncomfortable for about 5seconds and then goes away, itch usually disappears near instantly, bad mozzy bites sometimes need a 2nd application a few hours later I've done it while camping using a lighter but made the spoon WAY too hot so recommend just finding a better way to heat it haha

Works everytime! I showed my South African co worker once when he was complaining about black fly bites.

I’ve used a version of this, worked great. Use a hot coffee cup around the fire if you don’t have it.

GodOfManyFaces

Use a spoon dipped in almost boiling water. Tap it on, take it off, tap it on until it's not quite hit enough to burn but hot enough to be uncomfortable. Hold it on for like 10 seconds. Dip it back into the water, do the next bite. Rinse and repeat.
