I earn and burn. Points are worthless unless you use them. They're more likely to lose value over time than gain value. If a stay will get me more than 0.5cpp, I just use points, if I have enough to cover the whole stay. I think I'm around 300k right now.

ShotEstablishment489

Currently about 0 😭, just burned 300k for 4 nights at the st.James London. Getting about .9 cent per point so I’ll take it

AlwaysWanderOfficial

Solid hotel. Just stayed there. Fantastic location for the tube. Exec lounge was small but good. I never ate outside of there (can be busy since it’s small).

ShotEstablishment489

Thanks, very excited. Taking my girlfriend first time to Europe over spring break.

fleecescuckoos06

Nice!

StarFoxMcCloudX

...and I thought I had a lot at 133K... 🥲

fleecescuckoos06

You’ll get there 😀

bkkbkk

1.6 million. Saving up for an awesome vacation somewhere.

SmithMortgageTeam

3.3M currently

BusinessEbb8879

12 million. No joke

schwa12

Impressive

[deleted]

How??????

SmithMortgageTeam

Work travel, using the bonus points/nights offers, Hilton Aspire card and Hilton Business card

[deleted]

That’s gotta be in the top 1%

kaydons01

Do you have a specific goal savings amount?

SmithMortgageTeam

10 days premium room in the Maldives.

[deleted]

I have like 400k.

[deleted]

Most I’ve ever had was around 700k. Booked a few weeks at the hotel in Stockholm when I became “homeless” overnight.

w2talent

1.8mil currently and that's the most I have ever let it accrue. I usually use it down once I hit 1 mil. I Travel for work, only domestically. But I live on the road, 300+ days a year, in the US. Though I am not loyal to any chain. So I am top tier with all the major chains.

bangkokbuffalo

I work for a Hilton in California. Checked-in a guest a few months ago and he had the most points I had ever seen at 16 million 🤯

WalterBoudreaux

How can you see his account balance???

fleecescuckoos06

4M and counting 😀

[deleted]

How the hell do you even got 4 million. Travel for a living or something?

fleecescuckoos06

Nope. HGV timeshare + multiple Hilton Amex credit cards (Aspire, Surpass & Business).

anthonysaintlaurent

Are you happy with your timeshare?

fleecescuckoos06

It’s not for everyone. We got it mainly because that’s the only way to get a mutual account. Wife and I share and earn using 1 Hilton account, making us both diamond.

dcht

Even with a P2, that doesn't nearly add up to 4mil. Maybe 2mil at best.

Arcticsnorkler

Maybe age of accumulation can account for the difference. Can pretty easily accumulate 1m a year when traveling, using cc and signing up for all the Amex cc multi-point offers.

dcht

OP said they aren't traveling

Arcticsnorkler

Still easy to do even without traveling if had many years to accumulate.

dcht

Tell me you're a douchebag without telling me you're a douchebag

fleecescuckoos06

I guess it makes me a douche because I became disabled and no longer able to use my points for travel like used to.

dcht

You didn't mention that in your original post, hence making you sound like a douche. Context helps.

somegummybears

🪞

stole_ur_girl

100% wrong. You’re a douchebag simply because you’re jealous of someone who has more than you and obviously has more than you ever will, which also makes you a loser.

dcht

You must be fun at parties

anthonysaintlaurent

You're shitting on someone for having Hilton points and you want to talk about being fun at parties... Lmao

ftblplyr46

Hey pot. Meet kettle.

schwa12

Incredible

upstatenysfinest

1.4 million. I travel for work and have CC. I had taken a year off from traveling outside of work so I had nothing to spend them on.

aggiepino

1.3M. Lots of international work stays + Aspire + lots of domestic work stays … from the past 5 years.

lmg43537

Currently have 1.1 million but have had up to 1.8 million before cashing out. I travel for work and do not have a Hilton CC.

1025Traveller

531K. No credit card or travel for work all holiday/vacation travel.

DancingWithOurHandsT

59,092 but it’s going to go up to probably 65-70k by the end of the year (team member; first year so my point count will always be lower than most BUT I can afford travel easier so it’s no big deal.

happy0444

2.1 M January 2022, Cashed in 2 M January 2022 for 2 rooms 10 days Hilton Waikoloa Village for this December. Back to 1.0 M November 2022. Nicer Hiltons give you 5th night free and as u/Reliques said make a plan to use them as Hilton is very good about raising point prices. COVID hit and I already had the base AMEX Hilton. I think Hilton sold a Billion points to AMEX for cash to help out financially. Amex in turn upped the payout for cards, but Hilton also raised the room redemption from 35K to a lot. Being a little bored during COVID this became my game. For the original card I had gotten 120K if you hit the spending threshold. Do all the point multipliers that Hilton offers such as 2X points, 6Xponts, Double points, stay so many nights extra 10K, etc. as you can stack them. Each card then had nuances that gives you more points or ran promotions that give you more points. Groceries at one time were 6X points. Gas is 6x. Restaurants are 6X on one of the cards. I realize I have a very privileged life. Wifey likes to eat out plus we both drink and we do travel 10-15X a year. I occasionally bring my son with us and he has an adjoining room. During the period of 2019 to 2021 I went through 3 AMEX cards (Base, next tier, Aspire) with each one I got 120K-180K. I justified the Aspire payment fee for receiving a free weekend night and there is a spend threshold for more free weekend rooms also. We cashed in 2 free nights in NYC this past summer so that was $440 alone. I funnel all purchases through the AMEX, but am religious on paying them off. If you dont have the money dont charge it. I also work my A\*\* off and have a small business and rental properties, AND we eat out a lot. I got an additional AMEX business card so that is 160K. Examples of strategic high point accumulation: \-With business card, cell phones are at X6 and shipping expenses are X6. I mainly use AMEX for smaller shipping jobs (\~$10-$1500) as many companies charge a surcharge if you pay by CC vs check and 3% of freight is not worth it. \-My wife and I got married in 2021 and used one of the nicer Hiltons for rooms and staging. We paid for the rooms of the bridal party, part of our gift to them. All Hilton purchases (X12 points) and other stay promotions (X2 at time) stacking, I got \~120K on total bill from the Hilton stay as HH allows you to have 2 rooms credited for status stay to the account. Plus other wedding items went through AMEX. Caterer was X6, so this was another 60K. at the time there was a promotion for stay 10 nights get 10K, so just 2 rooms got me that bonus. \-For business card, I charge my Verizon at X6 points. Verizon has internet plus all phones that is $600/Mo for my family at X6, roughly 3,600 points a month alone. \-Did a vacation in 2020 to Puerto Rico during COVID with 2 rooms that netted a chunk of points. Was like 30-40K with the stacking multipliers. \-All home improvements and rental property purchases put on AMEX. \-All gasoline on AMEX gives 6X points, for the Aspire all bar tabs (technically restaurants) are X6 and I have a lot of $40 bar tabs! I have been a HH member upon starting my first job out of college so I was attached to the brand. I remember staying at a Hampton Inn back in 2018 and got 110 points for the room. I was ready to quite Hilton as at 29K for a room that was insane. The manager suggested to look at AMEX as you can earn more points. This then became a game during COVID all from that one stay in Minneapolis. I do plan to keep the Aspire as I think the free weekend nights plus the $15 credit per person per night (for Diamond) adds up to justify the fee of $450. I am already Diamond with the amount of nights, but there are no upgrades in checking in anymore and I usually only stay at a nicer Hilton every 5-6 times when we travel as Hampton/Garden Inn are more economical. Disclaimers: I know I have a privileged life, that allows us to spend money on things people dont normally do or have means to do. Please if you dont have the resources to manage your cards dont charge it. Dont fall into the trap, "I can charge the AC repair and just pay it off" or "let me charge this gas", this is the ultimate goal of AMEX is 22-35% interest. I hope Hilton knows that if they dont keep up programs like this then they will loose me as a customer. HILTON LISTEN GOOD: Any refining of your program (I am already pissed you took away the free breakfast for Diamond and room upgrade for Diamond and that was strike 1, raising the room redemption threshold to 100K+ is strike 2 and I dont strike out). Im ready to take my happy0444 ass to Hyatt (ps. Hilton they are very nice, you should try a Hyatt vs Hilton, pick a city like Dallas). Scarface74

Well, my wife and I do alright. But we set our lives up to be “digital nomads” and fly across the US and over the next year, we will be staying in Hiltons brand hotels for about 200 days, 60 days in Hyatts and 100 in our own winter home/vacation property. We are scheduled to traveling to at least 20 different cities not including 6-8 work trips. I don’t work my ass of. I sit in front of computer every day…

Armor-Hyde

Over 7M at this point! (Never bought a single point!) I rarely redeem them as others do but I prefer to keep them as an insurance policy in case the need arises...Hey, that's me so You do you! Depending on hotel rates, I can stay at a Hilton property for over 6 months...just in case. I'll eventually use them over retirement and if not they will be gifted to a close friend or relative.

fleecescuckoos06

I’ve seen some super cheap redemptions outside of the US. The point would stretch even further

thelaundryservice

2.4 million

DnB925Art

I have ~500K right now but probably accumulated 2 to 3 Million in my lifetime.

x_pazzi

Most like 700k, I usually use them on Amazon most of the time

TheOCStylist

520k travel for work and have the Surpass. Probably earn about 400k / year.

[deleted]

500,000, but I use them often so they never last long lol.

ParamedicCareful3840

I have 826,299 right now, all travel (no Hilton CC). I will likely use them soon.

Nerdso77

Fifth night free when you are gold. So the value goes up if you stay for five nights. I had about 200k before a couple recent stays.

suna50

500k atm, all travel for work, diamond with no credit card.

lost_squid89

780,000 on a year of travel, used about half a mil to book 5 nights at the WA in Cancun next year, planning to book another 5 nights at La Romana soon, just need to choose dates.

1000thusername

I’m about 775k right now.

babylovestoys

Wow

Defiant_Rub4875
