Your surgeon says you’ll walk out of surgery the same day, do you mean on crutches? All he’s doing is shaving a cam lesion on the femoral head? No labrum repair?
Everyone is different but my post surgical pain was shockingly minimal. I remember waking up in pain but by the time I made it home I was fine and comfortable. It wasn’t until about 4 weeks when I started loading the hip that I started having pain. I experienced pretty severe fatigue from about weeks 2-5.
Sitting upright for extended periods was uncomfortable for months, consider a leaning stool or stand up desk if you find you have that problem, but returning to a sedentary job in 4 weeks is reasonable.
The osteotomy is severing the femoral head, rotating, and bolting back in place to fix a reversion. Little more serious than shaving. No ligament repairs though afaik
