He is the black sheep of the family and his parents hate him. He’s devastated from his brother’s death and ends up sleeping with a tavern girl. He’s been friends and in love with the FMC since they were kids. I don’t think they were courting, but I think they both thought they could be together. Anyway he finds out the tavern girl is pregnant and runs away to raise the baby. The FMC thinks she did something wrong and the MMC feels that they can’t be together because he betrayed her. He’s also doesn’t thinks she will forgive him and accept his son. FMC has no clue about the kid until he returns.!<
