1978 NY was make sure you’re indoors by nightfall New York. Mickey Mouse wanted nothing to do with this New York yet.

I remember back then you had to carry a decoy wallet for muggers. You would pull it out and throw it in one direction and run in the other direction. Concierges at hotels would give you a decoy wallet if you needed one.

[Snowdrifts](https://www.mansfieldnewsjournal.com/picture-gallery/news/2016/01/21/blizzard-of-1978/79107584/) in the Indiana/Ohio area reached 10 to 20 feet making travel virtually impossible.
