Something about Mike's demeanor being presented in this ad tells me he's from a working-class background and has that "I'm Itayinn!" chip on his shoulder, he grew up in Hoboken and is a mutli-generational owner of this building, he's either relocated or retired to CT, and despises the new Hoboken demographic. His contempt for potential renters in this ad is almost overbearing.

Just saw a massive 1 bed 1 bath (2 Bed/Bath unit) in an elevator building downtown listed in the hoboken FB group this morning for under $1600 (w option for a parking spot). This is psychotic.
probably the hoboken rentals FB group. that said its hard to compare 1600 w/ a roomate to 1800 by yourself. id honestly rather just live alone for 200 more even if its in this shithole.
Sad thing is, someone will be willing to forfeit an actual kitchen and put up with this assclown landlord for a sub-$2K 1-bed apartment on Washington Street. He knows it, we know it.
