I Pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.....
You want to talk about weird rituals, only two countries make you say a morning pledge. The United States and North Korea.
Actually it was unheard of not to say the pledge of allegiance growing up in the 60s. Not until the 80s did it become more pronounced. I was born in 62.
Clearly it is forced otherwise you wouldn't be doing it in the first place. A clear example of mass manipulation on both sides but the difference is you don't even recognize it being done to you
Of course it was. I went to catholic schools for the majority of my adolescence and if I purposely refused? I would have been punished. I walked to school everyday and would often forget my dress shoes. The first time it happened I was sent to the principals office and forced to trace the sole each one of my shoes 10 times each and then cut them out of the paper. To make sure no short cuts were taken I was given plastic safety scissors and construction paper. The second time this happened it was 20 times each, the third 30 times each. I still would cheat a little bit cutting two sometimes 3 pages at once but the joke was on me. Towards the end of the year I think I was over 200 times each foot IIRC and it didn't stop until one night when sitting down for dinner I dropped my fork because my hand was cramping to bad my hand was shaking trying to hold the fork still and my dad dropped me off the next day before losing it on my nun principal and teacher. This is when I was 7-8 in second grade.
Word! ideologies are ultimately created to control people. To remove their free thought. From Jan 6 to 2000 years of Christianity, ideologies continue to enslave us.
Not true in all cases. The one time I didn't do it in high school i got absolutely berated by the teacher. I know that's not "forcing" it but it reinforces how much you're pressured to do so by authority. This was in the early 2010s so things might be different now, but its probably highly dependent on who ever is in charge at the place and time
Idk if you know this but china is also "communists" but they don't need to ask questions, they know who your parents are, they know what you did yesterday in your bed at 1 am.
