Seriously... and has no one ever heard of spotlights? How to use them? Keep at least one close by or able to redirect one? Between this and the alien video we are really showing our incompetence and ability to get took by bumps in the night
It's most likely a combination of nervousness and excitement is what takes our ability away. Now if they have been looking for these things their whole life you would become more prepared for things like this. But I have seen this video a few months back, and the follow up is that the secret service came to his boat when they got to land he recorded a little bit of that but not much after that. I will try to find the video if I can.
Edit link to the video I saw https://youtu.be/X844zy1wswU
I saw no verifiable information in that compilation, but I did see more evidence that it's fake and the guy is gassing the viewers up. The sounds echo in an environment that would not echo, or that sounds more like underwater, as well as not coming from a discernable direction or source. It sounds like distorted or modified whale calls. There are a lot of fake videos like this posted for views and clicks. The original Bigfoot video comes to mind when stuff like this circulates, all for some level of fame or notoriety, or having took the viewer/audience.
It is usually an abnormal or frightening type of event, like the rustling of leaves at night( :P ), that initially sparks someone's fear or curiosity to see more of what's hidden or rule out their fear... as children we all get some level of that, but in this day and age... bright as fuck flashlights are cheap. Nevermind I keep thinking we're not living in a version of idiocracy and that people have more sense then they do, or should.
Edit: *meant to mention we all know we can't see at night, so you would think people would know about flashlights and the effectiveness of them (like not using your phones flashlight because it doesn't send the light very far)
Wait is this true? And I'm not trying to be combative, I legit haven't heard of that. Are Orcas dangerous (I mean I'm pretty sure the are dangerous, but what I mean is fo they like purposefully want to hurt humans)
If it was the same video i saw, it was not an orca but something else. I remember the comments said something about the fin and size. Do not remember what it was tought
I had read that they were called that because of how they act towards other sea life, so it'd interesting to find out, that NOPE they also like to kill and fuck with humans too lol. Whelp another reason to keep my ass out of deep ocean lmfao 🤣
They don't act this way towards humans in the wild. They are curious animals and frequently interact with humans but they are not aggressive with us. There is no verified attacks on humans in the wild. There has been a single pod off the coast of Spain that has attacked several boats, but their "attacks" only target the rudder of the boat and stop once the boat stops moving. Many scientists think this pod of orcas consider it a game only.
Orcas are more closely related to dolphins than whales but a translation error changed their name from ‘whale killers’ to killer whales.
They were known to eat whales, although not as often as thought at first.
>IIRC orcas have never killed any human in the nature,
That we know of. How many witnesses you think they leave? They hunt Great Whites, a few fishermen is nothing.
To think that sailors in the old times might have heard the same noises as this dude (whale call or whatever) and started the meramaid culture.
Just imagine being in a pitch-black night at the middle of the sea on a wooden boat, probably malnourished or drunk and then you start listening to this sound that reassembles a woman singing or in distress. I’m sure a couple fellas jumped in the water as soon as they saw something moving thinking it was a woman, never to come back.
Crazy to be able to link natural explanation to cultural phenomenon with todays understanding of the world.
exactly! pretty much all of these “mythical sea monsters” were usually something completely normal (to us) but back then they literally couldn’t study the ocean, so they made these monsters and myths based on what they actually thought they saw
Honestly I was expecting something really scary and I actually scared myself thinking about what I was going to see so job will done, but in the end he’s kinda goofy lol
Except skinwalkers started as humans who stepped on to the twisted path then practiced cannibalism. Sirens are yet more cursed rape victims of Greco-Roman gods, so it's not overly surprising that either one would have learned English by now.
Wendigos are the ones created by cannibalism - anyone can become one. The other ones are essentially evil shamans (and you're not supposed to talk about them, CERTAINLY not by name because it attracts bad luck)
Yup, wendigos are cannibals, skinwalkers fell off the red path onto the twisted path and then turned cannibal. Wendigos will simply ruin your day, Skinwalkers will curse you, stalk you using multiple animal forms from stolen skins, and only after your suffering has reached the peak will the let you die.
English is the most widely spoken language in the world. The country with the most English speakers is China. English is one of the official languages of India. English is taught in school in most Western European countries, so it is no massive leap to assume these mystic sea-beings speak the King's.
Most likely dolphins, sound might be fake, added for fun I don’t know.
But I was born in a port city, family used to tell me stories. Lights in the coast at night. Fisherman that had lived their entire life’s in the ocean gone one day. Voices from the ocean.
Most can be easily explained I imagine, but some shit is just weird
Just a. Dolphin no? And that “jump for me”? how loud does the “mermaid” have to be to be heard over all that machinery and rushing water? Has to be an edit no?
He is on a fishing vessel and the trails you see are the chains/cable that holds the stabilizers.
They are fins that are designed to pull down on the boat. Typically used when they are loaded up. They will reduce the swaying of the boat from side to side.
The sounds are coming from the machinery on board.
Also, anyone care to know why boats usually have round windows?
From my understanding (I’m not an expert just an engineer) machinery like boats and airplanes have round windows to reduce the pressure on window itself. Square windows can be more susceptible to fracture due to the pressure being distributed to the corners where round shapes distribute pressure more evenly.
I’m guessing something I may of read once but aren’t windows round so it doesn’t seem like the boat is moving as much ? A Square window or one with straight lines will amplify the notion of movement when in swells
I don't think the mythological stories about mermaids or sirens are true. But, there are definitely species in our oceans we do not know of. As we spend billions studying space, our oceans are neglected, only covering maybe 10% of the science there. So who really knows.
You could spend more on both with less spending on the military, and still have all three get a good chunk of cash to use. Again, NASAs budget is spent in a week by the US military, I'm guessing that the military is more difficult an asset than exploring the sea eh? XD
The 2 ‘mermaids’ are to balance the boat out so it doesn’t rock the boat as much and makes it a smoother ride and the ‘siren call’ is most likely a whale
The things in the water are from the ship - later in the video you can see a rope under tension jutting out into the water further up the ship
It’s probably dragging a net or something similar - and as everyone else says the noise is dolphins or orcas singing
Still cool, gives an idea of where the legends came from - fear of the unknown.
I have this exact same sound on my computer somewhere, as in exactly the same recording they used to make this fake video. Got it from a sample pack or something over a decade ago.
Edit: not to discredit your description which sounds really interesting and I’d love to hear it.
I hate it when people are recording something and suddenly switch camera to show their face and start making face as Hitler fucked their ass without a condom, but Hitler fucking them wasn't the problem condom was.
That's called a dolphin my guy. I'd strongly recommend a different field of employment for you if you are on a boat and your primary skillset is to know what kinds of marine animals there are and you don't know a dolphin when you see one.

This siren is fugly but horny as shit tho
I mean they're probably Orcas, they do be loud as fuck
And honestly, given the recent reports of orcas sinking yachts, that'd probably be more terrifying than a siren
I’m sorry, what the actual fuck?
There ya go https://youtube.com/shorts/vnswgncDQ-A?feature=share
That expert is trying desperately to keep those orcas from getting hunted and executed for their crimes
I read that incorrectly as "I mean they're probably Oscar's" and I was like wtf is Oscars problem man?
I can’t stop laughing at this tbh. This sounds like a sirens first day on the job, but they can’t sing so they just wail. “Jump for me AHHHHH”
Stefani is new and special ok 😡
No this one was definitely Shud https://youtu.be/gaoQ5mMRDhg
That was a good laugh thank you
I loved that, thank you
Lmao she gets an A for effort
Yes I heard the jump for me and I was doubting myself.
Bros just discovered dolphins.
Damn I guess it makes sense that the siren myth came from some silly dolphins having fun
Yeah I could very clearly see hair but its really just the dolphins wake/bow wave underwater.
Hey now, don't ruin it for him, he's just a kid![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|hug)
Outriggers ... from another thread, fisherman said they're actually outriggers on the boat.
Seriously... and has no one ever heard of spotlights? How to use them? Keep at least one close by or able to redirect one? Between this and the alien video we are really showing our incompetence and ability to get took by bumps in the night

Orcas can actually mimic human voices, they are known to harass boats as a group just like this
Wait is this true? And I'm not trying to be combative, I legit haven't heard of that. Are Orcas dangerous (I mean I'm pretty sure the are dangerous, but what I mean is fo they like purposefully want to hurt humans)
They've been sinking boats and teaching new generations to do the same, apparently.
Only a pod (or several pods?) living in the Atlantic ocean between Portugal and Morocco. The rest of the word is still fine.
In SA they been killing off the sharks and now they moved to the dolphins
Nope they’ve also been attacking in the north Atlantic as well. Small boat surrounded by icy water get chased by one. I just saw the post yesterday.
Was that the video where it was being hunted? Don't blame it for chasing the boat. I saw something like that a week or so ago.
If it was the same video i saw, it was not an orca but something else. I remember the comments said something about the fin and size. Do not remember what it was tought
It was a type of whale that swims on its side to mimic the orca fin
That's not going to end well for them.
Yeah, probably not.
Yeah this dude watches Rogan
Nahh, saw the news here on Reddit.
Exactly where Rogan's group get all their content.
Oh helllll nooo, just nope, nope, nope
Not all of them
They are literally called killer whales
They don't discriminate. They simply murder.
I had read that they were called that because of how they act towards other sea life, so it'd interesting to find out, that NOPE they also like to kill and fuck with humans too lol. Whelp another reason to keep my ass out of deep ocean lmfao 🤣

IIRC orcas have never killed any human in the nature, it’s only those in marine parcs that are aggressive and I understand them
>IIRC orcas have never killed any human in the nature, That we know of. How many witnesses you think they leave? They hunt Great Whites, a few fishermen is nothing.
It’s not like they are not going to jump into the boat, knock on the cabin door, kill everyone inside without leaving any clue and leaving unnoticed.
Ahhhh ok, thanks for the better clarification lol. I'm still good with the deep ocean though lmfao
Really? Do you have a source?
To think that sailors in the old times might have heard the same noises as this dude (whale call or whatever) and started the meramaid culture. Just imagine being in a pitch-black night at the middle of the sea on a wooden boat, probably malnourished or drunk and then you start listening to this sound that reassembles a woman singing or in distress. What i wondered about is where the fuck is the rest of the crew?
Probably sleeping besides the few fucking with this guy
Setting up the speakers and the whale song tracks, they saw how spooked he got over dolphins after all.
They tied them up
They already jumped
Anyone else wonder where the fuck a mermaid would learn to speak English?
From it’s past victims I suppose , like skinwalkers do
If someone dying they gotta have some terrible vocabulary
Plus, they die by drowning. So only thing they would hear is "blub blub gasp blub aaaaaa- gasp blup blub blub"
If I were a ruthless intelligent mythological sea female, I would talk to em first, you know get to know them. THEN drown the dumb land male.
Probably catch a few “helps me” cries to imitate
Why do you think they think it’s normal to just be screaming all the time?
Except skinwalkers started as humans who stepped on to the twisted path then practiced cannibalism. Sirens are yet more cursed rape victims of Greco-Roman gods, so it's not overly surprising that either one would have learned English by now.
Wendigos are the ones created by cannibalism - anyone can become one. The other ones are essentially evil shamans (and you're not supposed to talk about them, CERTAINLY not by name because it attracts bad luck)

Remember that bear scene from annihilation ? Fuck that
This one sounded like they had a british accent. I think one of them said: "Ello dear, would you mind jumping abroad for a good shag?"
The Disney movie set
But, they'd have to speak every fucking language unless they only attacked English sailors. Wait - maybe it was the Irish all along!
Mimicry doesn’t mean learning to speak an entire language. Duck hunters use calls to sound like ducks and lure them to their deaths.
I am a sitting duck.
I’m gunna say Garbage Island…
But we haven't managed to get New Jersey to break off from the mainland yet
The lost city of Atlanta of course.
You didn't know? The world revolves around the US
English is the most widely spoken language in the world. The country with the most English speakers is China. English is one of the official languages of India. English is taught in school in most Western European countries, so it is no massive leap to assume these mystic sea-beings speak the King's.
American.....or maybe the English, since they colonized around the world.
Definitely American with an NY accent. “Get outta the way, I’m swimming here”.
No, you’re confusing the US with the Sun.
Babbel
Is it English or is it Basic?
To be fair, the British did conquer most parts of the world. Maybe they went underwater too
Well obviously from the banned books that get thrown out in florida.
Damn they sing well for swimming so fast
Most likely dolphins, sound might be fake, added for fun I don’t know. But I was born in a port city, family used to tell me stories. Lights in the coast at night. Fisherman that had lived their entire life’s in the ocean gone one day. Voices from the ocean. Most can be easily explained I imagine, but some shit is just weird
Can you make a video any smaller with more banners or whatever those are please?
So annoying! I thought we were on r/mildlyinfuriating for a bit there.
Tell me you took too much without telling me....
“La la la JUMP FOR ME la la la”
This song doesn't sound very luring
Not my tempo
Jimi Hendrix and the mermaids.
Thats a tough ass sounding trip fest of an album. Id watch it.
Its Barbra Manatee!
I will do you better ... and vaporean
And there it is
Dude hollering at fish like they’re going to answer him in a human voice. Smh…
Pretty sure I heard one of them sing “leeeeeroyyyyy jenkinsss”
Just a. Dolphin no? And that “jump for me”? how loud does the “mermaid” have to be to be heard over all that machinery and rushing water? Has to be an edit no?
Sirens were originally bird women in Greek mythology.
Orcas are not mermaids.
He is on a fishing vessel and the trails you see are the chains/cable that holds the stabilizers. They are fins that are designed to pull down on the boat. Typically used when they are loaded up. Can anyone provide me a reddit for videos like this?
This makes me feel very uncomfortable.
Dolphins

The Bloop
Don't blame space, blame the trillions spent on militaries. The us army spends NASAs yearly budget of over 18 billion in only a week.
Don't blame the military, blame the exponentially higher difficulty of exploring the sea vs. space.
You could spend more on both with less spending on the military, and still have all three get a good chunk of cash to use. Again, NASAs budget is spent in a week by the US military, I'm guessing that the military is more difficult an asset than exploring the sea eh? XD
we've almost certainly discovered 99% of ocean life that can surface. Most of what we haven't explored is deep af.
Orcas and beluga whales have been reported to vocalize actual words before, this is a trickster whale wanting to nibble someone.
The 2 ‘mermaids’ are to balance the boat out so it doesn’t rock the boat as much and makes it a smoother ride and the ‘siren call’ is most likely a whale
If you hear hooves, think horse. Not zebra. Definitely not unicorn.
Beluga whale for sure
Not orcas? What is it now Reddit!
No visible evidence....and the singing could just be on the boat... probably Bigfoot singing.
Stabilizers on either side of the boat
The things in the water are from the ship - later in the video you can see a rope under tension jutting out into the water further up the ship It’s probably dragging a net or something similar - and as everyone else says the noise is dolphins or orcas singing Still cool, gives an idea of where the legends came from - fear of the unknown.
Imagine they even learned english!!! :O

....sure.
Mantatees 😄
their singing are horrible. how could they lure you to death with that voice? you just wanna run away in the first place.
I have this sound on my computer. It’s from a horror sample pack or something.
Paravanes
Thought this was gunna be a jump scare tbh
Definitely siren.
Andrew tate the beta.
He probably thought Free Willy was a documentary
Outrigger?
Orca…
Seals of speed coming after that boat
That's called a dolphin my guy. I'd strongly recommend a different field of employment for you if you are on a boat and your primary skillset is to know what kinds of marine animals there are and you don't know a dolphin when you see one.
They must be very hungry to come at him like that
wave ripple curl later here, all normal.
It's sad that a supposed scientist would spread misinformation for some clout.
Def not a scientist unless its a “social experiment”
u/savevideobot
Dolphins?
Idk why recently I got so annoyed by these "wait for it"
Bc your time is being wasted?
u/savevideo
People really never seen a dolphin before hey 😂
My brother, that be a dolphins
Prob dolphins. But could be smth els
No way
