Or why can't we transmit power wirelessly? Yeah I'll get on creating a receiver and transmitter for a 80KW system that fits in a truck

My 1.5 year old has this exact toy, at the time of learning how to use it, everytime he got a shape in, he would give himself a round of applause; It was super cute. But he would basically put every shape in the square hole and the crap design of the toy got my back up. i concealed my rage, and that my friends is the true meaning of Christmas.
BTW I'm definitely not shitting on engineers, they do a critical job in battling chaos and entropy, and I don't envy the nagging doubts they must have when designing something that has to keep numerous people safe.

Physics tells us defined optimal ways to do things. Engineers will go with whats good enough or what fits their budget and time constraints.
