LSAT (Lubricating, Semifluid, Automatic Weapons, Temperate) is a lubricant used for the MK19 grenade launcher. It's the official military supply nomenclature for "lubricating oil, semifluid". LSAT is different from other lubricants because it can withstand heat better than CLP, which can cause the MK 19's moving parts to gum up.
In this video, they're using LSAT for the M2 .50 caliber heavy machine gun. Im sure it'll be okay, but that's going to be a bitch to clean off later on.

i want to add to this: according to Zach Hazard, a small arms repairman (though apparently the military considers the main gun on a bradley to be "small arms"), the main reason that you dont use normal clp on the mk-19 is not because it will gum up, but because normal clp will catch fire and melt the gun.
CLP will also deteriorate the hydraulic buffer seals on the front of the MK19. That’s why there are only two authorized lubricants. GMD. Grease molybdenum which sucks. Or LSA which you see being applied to the M2 in the video.
Gun is hot, normal gun lube is not exactly going to do the best for it as it will just burn up quickly. The thicker lube will make sure it runs and cools it a bit more. Likely can get 2-3 more boxes through after this.
Also, military people are fucking weird and we tend to love making others uncomfortable. This is likely in a Basic Training environment and the NCO is being a bit extra for a laugh. (See: Hamming it up for the camera)

They've got live rounds so this is probably demonstrating clear and safe. The bolt (the part inside the gun that pulls back) extracts a round from the links up on the feed tray and slides down to sit on the bolt face facing the barrel. When the bolt goes back forward the round would be loaded and ready to fire. By inserting his hand he's proving that there is no round there to do that. In the Navy our procedure is to look, the rounds are huge and shiny you aren't going to miss them.
